First off, the drink menu was longer than the food menu. The food was tasteless. Tried the calamari for appetizer. There was so few pieces. So we ordered the garlic bread. How can garlic bread be tasteless??? We tried the chicken with pasta. The pasta was stuffed with potato mush and the chicken was hard to find. The pork Milanese was ok. I are here at the recommendation of a friend and was pretty excited. It's in a great location with loads to do around this place before or after Bar Dough. The service was great and with a smile. The prices are higher than average and therefore I was expecting something good. The drinks were pretty good with ciders, cocktails and wine being ordered. The food is what made me give a 3 star---I had the commandatore pizza which sounded good on the menu but was really bland and tasteless-I didn't finish it, definitely didn't live up to my standards. My wife had the halibut special which looked great but was very salty which detracted from the overall meal. The other meal were good, bass was tasty and good presentation on the plate. This place had a cool vibe to it and an awesome location but didn't blow me away. read more

With so many great reviews, I was expecting an awesome meal. Nothing about the experience was bad, it was just, okay. Sitting at the bar for a drink is why I would come here. The bartenders are great, the atmosphere at the bar is cozy, and the drinks are delish. The service was okay, but for the price of the meal you'd expect a bit higher quality. The food was underwhelming and left much to be desired. For such a pricey plate of pasta and a $17 salad you'd expect at least slightly larger portions as well. If I could sum this up in 4 words... Not worth the price. Food was fine, but it was not worth the high price tag, especially for the pasta dishes. I had a very relaxing dinner at Bar Dough squeezing in happy hour for some amazing deals on delicious food. The house red wine is amazing for only 6 dollars on HH. Usually I'm not a fan of restaurants HH house but this was a Sangiovese with a smooth and easy drinking body. The margarita pizza is delightful and the crust has great texture and flavor. Maybe add more mozzarella.. I also had the purple potato gnocchi with sautéed spinach. A bit pricey (on the regular menu) but yummy if you want more than just pizza. Can't wait to go back! read more

Of course this place is all about pizza and pasta - hence the name. For a girl who avoids wheat and dairy I was worried when a friend picked this hip spot. Never fear! This place is super cool. We wanted to check this place out after seeing Carrie on Top Chef. My wife and I stopped in here about a month ago. We came in about 5ish and sat right at the bar. Places wasnt too crowded but by the time we left it as packed. The service was spot on. The bartenders and servers were super friendly, funny, and helpful. Spoiler: they have a pretty decent happy hour menu. And that Happy Hour menu runs on Saturday! Lots of food to choose from. We got two pizzas that were tasty. The drinks were good too, very creative. We honestly did not know who our waiter was. There was a server helping the tables on both sides asking what they would like explaining the menu, etc. We had to ask to order. When our Burrata came I had to ask if they were our server (she kindly said no but I can help you) so I ordered a glass of wine from her. Finally the server who was (maybe?) our waiter stopped by but never interacted like he did with the other tables. The worst wait service I have had in a decade! TLDR: If the dinner wasn't so outrageously priced for the quality of the food, this place would be worth more than 2 stars, but $130 for two people and one glass of wine (and no dessert!) is a little bit ridiculous. Go elsewhere instead! My partner and I were visiting Denver from out of town and up to this point had been very impressed with the restaurant scene. We came here because my partner wanted pizza and I wanted pasta, and this is one of the places that has both. We were seated quickly. The setting was not what we expected, seeming more like a club than a restaurant. We ordered the garlic bread and the burrata which were both good, but not worth the hefty price tag. My partner ordered the mushroom pizza which was more of a garlic flatbread than a pizza. I ordered the bucatini without meat, which was one of 2 vegetarian entres, also not worth $27. I asked the waitress for a wine recommendation. The 9 oz glass cost significantly more than an entire bottle of the same wine. Disappointed, we asked for the bill and found there is a fixed %20 tip added to the entire bill including the wine. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I understand the importance of tipping well, but did not feel the service we received warranted such a tip on an already overpriced restaurant. read more

Flew in from LA for the weekend, am vegan and wanted great eggless housemade pasta and Bar Dough was wonderful - cute modern cozy place, professional friendly uber-accommodating staff who did everything possible to veganize all we ordered, all was on point from salad to wood fired pizza to the piece de resistance, their AMAZING bucatini (thick spaghetti-like) pasta that they prepped with tomato sauce instead of the usual recipe which includes meat. Pasta was al dente and perfect with a nice slightly spicy arrabbiataesque sauce. Can honestly say that I have rarely found pasta as perfect in LA. Thank you Bar Dough for being a perfect restaurant! As an aside, it is very challenging to find egg-free homemade pasta in general and I only found one other place in Denver that had it, but to find pasta that is as excellent as this was a real stroke of luck, check these guys out! read more

Used to love this place but recently ordered some food for delivery and the meatballs (which are quite expensive, for meatballs) were legitimately raw. My dog even refused to eat them. And the pizza was definitely questionable at best. I know they don't usually put a lot of cheese on this pizza, but who wants to eat like straight up sauce? They also put some sort of herb or something on the pizza that made it taste like soap. Very weird and bad. Would have been willing to look past this one horrific experience because they've usually been good (aside from the occasional raw batch of bread while dining in the restaurant), so you know, maybe this was just a bad night for them, but I literally tried to contact them probably 30 times afterwards to get a refund (I spent roughly $90 on these raw meatballs, this cheeseless/soap-tasting pizza, a singular slice of garlic bread, and burrata, which I think somehow gave me food poisoning because I got sick and the burrata was the only thing I ended up having a bite of besides the one bite I took of the cheeseless soap pizza, so I wanted my money back) and it was impossible to get through to them and they never responded to me! Not cool. It's okay to make mistakes sometimes, but you gotta compensate your customers when that happens. We had an absolutely excellent experience at Bar Dough. It was recommended to us by a friend who had been before - needless to say, we were not disappointed. Everything, start to finish, was fantastic. Our server was great - he was funny, gave honest opinions about his favorites which made for some great suggestions. He was awesome. For appetizers we got kale & beet salad and at the recommendation of our friend, the wood-oven roasted carrots. It doesn't sound that exciting but I assure you it's fantastic! Our food was phenomenal. I got a pasta dish and everyone else got pizza - it was all terrific. Dessert was the same. So tasty. I plan to return soon and try something entirely different! I came for the top chef, stayed for the bottomless aperol spritz and candies bacon. I love the atmosphere of bar dough! The dining area is a long room with an open kitchen in the back. Perfect for creeping on Chef Carrie while she works! We've had brunch here twice and I haven't been disappointed yet. The first time I had the Nutella toast which is weird, delicious and crave worthy. Neutral, poached eggs and hollandaise - just trust the master and order it. You won't be disappointed. The second time I had the soft scramble which was pretty good but didn't blow me away. But luckily we order a side of candies bacon for the table. It's sweet, smokey and spicy. I will come back just for the bacon. And of course we had to go with bottomless drinks. They offer bottomless mimosas and aperol spritz. Their bottomless is a little pricier than other places around but the drinks keep flowing and the spritz upgrade makes it worth it. I can't wait to finally try dinner here! read more

I Visited the place on Sun 3/1/2020 with my friends. They shared the spicy clam pizza while I had the Mcfancy toast with a orange Italian cream. At first I thought the Orange Italian cream was interfering with the taste of my food but I ate it anyway. It wasn't until 10pm that night I woke up with terrible headache and a large desire to vomit. That's when I realized I had food poisoning I know it was what I had from here is because I Had not eaten anything else that day. What a disappointment - and - a total rip off. We paid $28 for a tiny plate of spaghetti and meatballs and $16 for a small salad that were both below average. I've seen meals from a kids menu larger and better. Also, they automatically charge 20% for gratuity. I left hungry. I would make a reservation a North Italia in Cherry Creek. North is 1000 times better, cheaper and classier. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the huge bill and anger over getting taken for ride. read more

Exceptional service, really what earns this three star rating. The food was meh, it was so salty I drank my body weight in water. Food ordered: olives ($7) great flavor tapas sized, calamari ($18) very salty small portion, garlic bread ($8) mostly burnt with a side of salt, and the Agosto pizza ($20) which came burnt to a crisp on the bottom - 2nd go was only mildly burnt (fine,) but I don't know how you can make prosciutto mote salty and balsamic less flavorful but it happened (this was a great pizza, but the saltiness was far and beyond the "normal" salt factor for prosciutto.) Service 10/10 food gets a salt rating 10/10. This is a one time visit. read more

The pizza was pretty thin throughout with a monster burntish crust. We probably only ate half of everything that was brought out and didn't take anything back with us.
