Bar Louie in Carmel is a solid, easy place to go when you want a good atmosphere, plenty of space, and friendly service. It is a large spot that feels comfortable for groups or just a casual night out, and the staff have been welcoming when I have gone. The burgers are good, not amazing, but the Tuesday night $9 burger deal makes them absolutely worth it and gives the place even more appeal as a relaxed local option. Oh and the outside seating is

Chicken Nachos. Very filling. I get every time and split with 3 people. Plenty to share or makes a great dinner if you're hungry.

Bar Louie is always a favorite place of mine. I typically stick to the same meal which used to be the voodoo pasta. Unfortunately they got rid of that two or so years ago. I hope they bring it back someday! Since then, Ive had no problem trying something new every time and it's always a success! The flatbread (a little salty) and chicken sandwich (thick) are not items I'd get again but good to try. Everything else has been excellent. Nachos are always loaded. Tots are great. I tried fried pickles for the first time and they didn't let me down. Service is always great. Servers are honest if you ask for opinion on food/drinks. Their checks ins are on point too. Not too frequent, but just enough. Bar service is also top notch and make a strong drink if you want. It's almost always busy but never impacts the wait time or service you receive. Prices are good and reasonable. Prices have risen everywhere, but bar Louie remains consistent with portion sizes and hasn't gotten "conservative" with serving sizes/toppings. Including pictures over the last couple years along with last night (dec. '25) to show consistency. Must try if you're in the Carmel area. You won't regret it!

Double date here a couple weeks ago and it was such a nice time :) I got a Cajun style pasta dish and it was delicious! 10/10. I also got this orange martini and it was so good.

I ordered blue cheese TWO times through doordash. The first time I just thought maybe someone read the ticket wrong so i placed a second order just for blue cheese sauce & again they sent me buffalo sauce. I tried calling multiple times and there was no answer.

Bar Louie's-Carmel offers great vibes on a Friday or Saturday night! We went in and sat at the bar. There's TVs available to watch sports and the DJ starts at 10 pm. There's a small dance floor area in front of the DJ area. There was no cover change. After a certain time, they do card to get in. I didn't grab any food this time, but I did grab a wildberry margarita. It was a little too sweet for my liking, but still a tasty drink. I'll definitely be back.

Bar Louie in Carmel is one of my go-to spots when I was a chill spot to have a drink and/or enjoy some really good food and watch some sports without breaking the bank! My go to is usually the sliders (salmon or cheeseburger) but there's literally not a miss on the menu. Have always had great servers & bartenders! Best one & by far my favorite is Ashley F! If you ever stop in & are lucky enough to get her, you'll know why!

Not my first time here but was the first time for brunch. $3 mimosas hit the spot. Our server was new but that was cool she ended up doing a great job. They don't have a lot of breakfast items to choose from but what we did have was great. We will be back soon I'm sure.

We went to the mixology class upstairs, it's out on by the manager and a bartender. We paid $50/person and we got to make 4 drinks which was totally worth it! I would make sure you eat first because they do not skimp on these recipes! My husband and I went and we had a blast. I hope they do another one soon because it was such an awesome experience. The place was so pretty and decorated for Christmas. I took so many photos because I had such an amazing time and I wanted to prove that I made these drinks!

Went to Bar Louie on a Friday night to watch the NCAA. We sat in the bar area. Plenty of TVs and all turned to one or more of the games. Lots of patrons and a very fun atmosphere. The entire bar was yelling and into the games. I got the beef sliders from the Bar Bites menu. I have to say, they were one of the best things I've ever eaten at Bar Louie. The bacon onion jam was wonderful. I'd definitely get them again. My wife got the Street Tacos, blackened shrimp. They were ok but we've had better elsewhere. They were served in 2 corn tortillas. The taste of the corn tortilla overpowered everything else, in our opinion. Not much flavor other than that. We would not get them again .., we'd try something different or both get the beef sliders! The food was served quickly. Particularly with how busy they were. It was also nice and hot. Service was good ... almost too good. The server kept coming back every 4-5 minutes to ask if all was ok and if we needed anything. Normally we really appreciate such great attentiveness. But we were there to also watch the game this time! LOL. Even though it was disruptive, they get an A+ for effort. And in other establishments, on a busy tv sport night, you maybe would never be able to even catch the wait staff when needed. So, an appreciated constant disruption? As always with me, I look for a deal. So, of course, I had a discount coupon. Our bill was accurate and the server handled the discount without issue. She was well trained with a good understanding. We will return.

Went here on a Saturday evening. The hostess was pretty rude, she led me to my table, threw the menus down, and walked off without saying a word..... Thankfully our waitress was sweet and attentive which made our dining experience better. It was pretty busy and more on the loud side as expected for a Saturday night. They have many TVs to enjoy. I had the Gastroburger with tots, it was really good. I also had a lemon drop martini which was ok.

It has been a while since I have been to Bar Louie for drinks and appetizers for Happy Hour, but I have always enjoyed coming here for a glass of wine and an appetizer. Our Indy Wine Meetup group came here for the Happy Hour special from 4-7 on where you can get half off cocktails and wine and certain appetizers as well. We had the upstairs area of the bar reserved for our group and had two servers take care of us. The servers did a phenomenal job with our group and took very good care of us the entire night. We received excellent customer service. The wine list was decent and the cocktails looked wonderful. I ordered a glass of Meimoni Pinot Noir and a glass of Tribute Pinot Noir and a couple appetizers to share with some people. The wine was excellent and pure quality. The chicken tenders and spinach and artichoke dip with chips were wonderful as well. The flatbreads are also half price during Happy Hour and they are well worth it. The truffle and asparagus flatbread is amazing. The ambiance is very laid back and comfortable for a casual night out with friends for a drink. There was some confusion with the bill because the server said the gratuity was included with our price, so when I closed out my bill, I did not add any additional gratuity since I was under the impression that the gratuity was included in the price. When I looked at my receipt, I did not see the gratuity. Some other people in our group had issues with their bill because it did not show the half off discount on the appetizers. Ashley, the manager, was kind enough to fix the issue and take care of their bills. However, I do feel bad about the servers not getting gratuity because they did work hard and did such an excellent job tonight with our group. Hopefully, we can get this worked out the next time we come here for Happy Hour so I can make it up to the staff with a nice gratuity tip. Bar Louie is a great place for drinks and appetizers, and would highly recommend everyone check this out in Carmel. Everything is wonderful about Bar Louie.

Cesar salad. You an see the extra chicken on the appetizer plate that was not removed

Had dinner last night. It was our first time at Bar Louie and probably our last. When we first arrived there was a slight wait. We were greeted by "How many?" and asked if we wanted a high top. We were fine with that and although high tops were empty, she told she would take us to a table. We were seated at the worst table in the whole place. Completely empty. No dining service, flatware or cocktail napkins, no salt and pepper completely empty. Wait for it, looking directly into the restrooms. I can tell you, men use the restroom more than women, and when they came out I was looking, not by choice, directly into their eyes. Pretty embarrassing for them and for me. 15 minutes went by and our waiter sauntered over. ? Want some water? "Yes, but we would like some drinks are you our server? "Yes, let me get you some water". And so it went. Ordered dirty martini and lemon drop. Both sat at the bar and were not served icy. As a matter of fact, we ordered calamari and it was served at least 5 minutes ahead of our drinks. Aside from the fact they were not icy we both enjoyed our drinks. The calamari was awesome and had fried peppers also. Yummy. We should have stopped there. I had the Cesar salad. The menu said it was grilled lettuce with a vinaigrette I added fried chicken. No vignette, saucy mayo style dressing and I could not tell if the romaine had been grilled. A ton of fried chicken pieces. ( I brought home at least 20 pieces). I asked for a coke when I ordered my salad. It did not come. I reminded our server and just before we got up, I got the coke. ( Good thing he served the water) My husband ordered the chicken sandwich with spicy honey and enjoyed it. He ordered a beer at the same time. He got his beer before his dinner, good. I reminded the beer server about the coke. Well you know how that turned out With tip our bill came to just about $100 Like I said, if we go back, I will refuse this table and sit at the bar. We were there about 3 hours totaled and saw our waiter 5 times. Water, order, check back, bring coke, serve bill. If the staff should read this, at the very least use this as a last resort table or turn it sideways. I am sure many of your customers dining and or using the facilities, would agree.

The inside was actually bigger than I was expecting. There was a beautiful bar located on one side of the house. Overall, decor was elegant but not pretentious. You could come in casual attire and not feel out of place. Our waiter was very personable and had a great sense of humor. He took time to explain the menu and was extremely helpful when it came to helping us decide on what to get. Everything sounded fantastic especially the starters. I didn't get a cocktail but I did get a lovely cup of hot peach tea that was very delightful. My friend's cocktail was beautiful. We did get a sample of one of the sparkling wines which was very nice. Mt friends ordered several items and I tried most of them. The carrots were my favorite. I ordered the tots and caviar as my main meal. This is definitely the upscale, adult version of tots. The potatoes were very crispy and I was shocked by the amount of caviar for the price. All the food was beautifully presented. And everything came out hot. Meaning temperature hot. You could tell everything was cooked fresh. Overall, it was a great culinary experience. My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we are SO UPSET! Not at the restaurant, meal…read moreor service but at ourselves for waiting so lonnnnggggg to try this delicious gem! We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

The pimento cheese dip was fine; closer to a nacho cheese dip. Both dips came with too few naan dippers to finish the dip (they charged extra for extra naan to finish the dip). - The cajun pasta was fine. Pasta was cooked well. I got it with chicken, which tasted good. The sauce was fine. - The hot honey chicken tenders were crispy, but lacked flavor. - The CBR chicken sandwich was good. Crispy and good size. - Do not order the side mac n cheese. $6 for some Stouffer's mac n cheese topped with the pimento cheese dip (that's basically nacho cheese dip). Overall, if someone asked to meet here for a meal I would request another restaurant but I'd still eat here if they insisted.

We sat at a high top table in the bar. Our server, Bailey (the bartender), was friendly and super attentive. She made recommendations and kept glasses filled. The craft beer selection is excellent with about 16 local options on tap. My husband had a Fall City "Hipster Repellent". The name alone is interesting, but he loved his beer. I had the Espresso Martini which came with roasted coffee beans floating on top. My cocktail went down easy. I also had a glass of the Berringer Chardonnay. The pour is generous. We shared a plate of Loaded Tots, which was wonderful. The tots are made from scratch in-house and covered with roasted bits of pork belly, cheese, a sauce and green onions. We LOVED the tots, which came out super hot. We also shared a plate of the Loaded Hummus. The plate is beautiful and colorful. The hummus is fresh made and loaded with bits of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and is delicious on a balsamic reduction. The hummus is served with a generous portion of fresh in-house made focaccia bread which tasted amazing. The Loaded Hummus is a winner in my book. Bailey our server was fabulous. She worked the entire bar and was an ambassador of the chef and menu. I wish we had time to stay for dinner because the food is outstanding. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL
