16 oz t-bone with Brussels sprouts and baked potato
    Steve V.

We had dinner at the Grindstone Public House in Noblesville on Wednesday evening. It so happened it was their steak special night - $25 for a 16oz t-bone steak and 2 sides. First off, our server Hannah was first rate - pleasant and very attentive. It was our first visit here and we enjoyed the setting and were pleased to see that despite the size of the rooms, the sound level was low allowing us to carry on conversations during our meals. Two of us ordered the steak special - while not the best steak I've ever had, for the price it was quite good. I'd return and get it again. Our wives had the orange chicken and a beet salad with a Nashville chicken slider. All in all we enjoyed out visit and will definitely add this to our dining list this summer.

Grindstone is always an excellent choice whether you're going for brunch, a late lunch, or an early dinner. I went for brunch last weekend and, as always, had a wonderful experience. The service is consistently great, and the food never disappoints. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which are some of the best you'll find in the Indianapolis area--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The biscuits and gravy are a must-order. The biscuits taste freshly made, and you can really tell the restaurant prioritizes high-quality, farm-to-table ingredients. It's easily my go-to recommendation every time I visit. The ambiance is another highlight--intimate, cute, and welcoming. Even when it's busy, it never feels too loud or overwhelming. It's perfect for a casual date, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a solo meal with your laptop. Grindstone is truly a versatile spot that always delivers.

This place is AMAZING! Best food in downtown Noblesville. My family and I left no room for leftovers, we ate all the entrees and desserts. Wonderful pricing for what you get! The drinks were delicious. The ambiance was aesthetically comfortable and high end. The night we went they had live music! It was all around a great experience for a restaurant in downtown Noblesville!

It's a vibe! The ambiance is nice and cozy. It's kind of dark but they had little lamps on the table. We sat upstairs above the bar. Parking could be an issue but we lucked up on street parking. Staff is friendly. Drinks were pretty good. We had a tropical bourbon drink but should have stirred it because the tropical flavor was at the bottom. Also had the lemoncello that pour over a sphere of ice (I forgot the name). Both drinks were good. We tried fried green tomatoes. I didn't care for the batter but they were good. I loved the wedge salad! So yummy! Great portion. My dinner date said the tenderloin was good. He didn't care for the mac and cheese but thought the mashed potatoes were good too. It's a place I would love to try again for a girls night or date night.

One of my long time favorites. Best in Noblesville. Whitney is bartending, my wife says she makes the best espresso martini in the state, high praise from her. I loved the day/evening menu, but now make a special point to get there for breakfast. Of course we sit at the bar! Prime rib quesadilla with eggs onion and cheese. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Food was exquisite. Service fast and pleasant to speak to. I took lots of pictures so you can tell this place is beautifully done with the class and respect it deserves. Our waitress is in the picture with the wine.

The restaurant is old and needs some updates however the bathrooms are impressively large. I'm short and the booth made me feel like I was to close to the ground. I asked to be moved and they were very accommodating and moved me to a table which was much better. My star rating is a 3 .5 instead of the 4 that is reflected only because it needs updates otherwise it's a solid 4. Since I was in at lunch time I ordered the Clancy's Topper which is their take on a big mac and I substituted the fries for a baked potato. The food came out hot and fresh. The potato was a nice size and came out steaming . The burger was constructed just like a big mac except the sauce was a tartar sauce which threw me off so I had it put to the side because I was unsure. The sauce was delicious and set the burger apart from anything I've had before. Even though it looked like a big mac it was definitely a restaurant quality burger not fast food chain at all. If the tartar was good on the burger I bet it's amazing on their fish and chips.

We went here to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. This was a great choice. All of the food we had was amazing. Our server was Zander and he was super sweet and did an awesome job communicating, especially when our food was slow coming out. It seemed that the kitchen was backed up a bit. It took about 45-50 minutes before we got our food. I was please that the food wasn't cold when it came out and it was delicious! They have space for dinner parties/ party rooms. The restaurant has dim lighting and a cute ambiance. I for sure would consider eating here again. I will say if you have reservations, make sure to come early- there is not a parking lot, only street parking and that can be tricky.

Wedge salad with goat cheese and balsamic instead of blue cheese
    Monika S.

Met friends for lunch last Friday. The service was excellent!! Our waitress was friendly and attentive without making us feel rushed--perfect! The atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was excellent. I wanted the wedge salad, but blue cheese is not my favorite. They were flexible and substituted goat cheese and balsamic dressing--and it was delicious. I also had a side order of Brussel sprouts --which is just the best side dish here. Highly recommend!

I celebrated my sister's 40th with my mom, sisters, and aunt. We had such a great time. The atmosphere was beautiful and laid-back. Our server and service were amazing. Our server was so patient and very knowledgeable. The food was so good. I'm so happy our server gave us great recommendations on the menu. I can't wait to come back again!

So much yes! From the beautiful building, friendly staff, and amazing food! My dad was in town and I wanted to take him to eat somewhere we hadn't been before and I am so glad we picked Grindstone Public House. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night and only had a 15 minute wait luckily! We sat in the stunning room I'm the back at a high top. The food was top notch! We loved the Hoosier hot plate and the pretzels! The mustard with pretzels was a hit. We can't wait to visit again!

My sister and I stopped in here a couple Mondays ago for a late lunch after getting sister tattoos. I have been here a couple of times for dinner, but never for lunch. It was much quieter than the busy dinner rush and all of the staff working were so sweet! We had chatted with the hostess about our tattoos we had just gotten and she told us about a shop across the street who had a great, female tattoo artist as well and she does free consultations. Already an A+ experience in my book. We each ordered a little cocktail snack (I got the blood orange cosmo and my sister got the blackberry jalepeno margarita) and they were a perfect afternoon treat. For lunch we both got the avocado blt and tomato bisque. Ugh, I don't even know where to start with this. It was amazing, better than I could have asked for. The bread was toasted and buttery, there were large avocado and tomato pieces. The tomato bisque was PACKED with flavor and so creamy. The perfect fall lunch pairing! If I lived in Noblesville, then I would be stopping in here weekly for this lunch. Luckily my sister does, so I know I'll be back soon.

Stopped in for a quick lunch at one of Noblesville's best spots! Got the filet slider and tiny topper with a side of fries. Delicious and quick!

I was wondering if the seating here would be communal since they only have 9 tables and room for 35 guests but I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated at our own table in a bit of a nook created by bookcases. My girlfriend and I had plans that day to go to the Peony Festival in town but it was cancelled due to weather. There were still many beautiful peonies in the restaurant itself and in many businesses around town. We were immediately seated by the hostess and our waiter, James, came to the table to tell us about the restaurant and that they would take our entire order and then course it out for us. I love this. Being a small restaurant it was a little noisy in there but we just spoke up a bit to talk to each other. We started with a couple cocktails, mine was Mr. Rumtastic and my friend had the Coming Up Roses. Both cocktails were well made and good. I found mine a bit thick on the palate, maybe because of the coconut milk? Still the flavors were well balanced and delicious. We started our meal with the Housemade Burrata, the bottom of the plate had a pistachio butter spread across it and there was mortadella on the plate, a puffy fried dough called gnocco fritto, and a balsamic honey along side. We were instructed to put it on our plate and mix it up and see how we like it paired together. What an excellent way to start our meal. We would definitely order this again. Next up for us was the Lamb Kafta Kebabs along with the Housemade Focaccia Bread. The lamb kebabs were ground lamb skewered and grilled served over a fresh fava bean puree finished with olive oil, sumac, ramp powder, and black cumin with some thinly sliced watermelon radish. The lamb was super tender and a perfect medium cook. The focaccia bread was a good addition to this as we slathered the homemade bread with the super soft whipped herb butter. Loved the rosemary baked into the bread as it gave it a woody, herby note without overpowering it. I almost ordered the Spring Salad but I asked James if it would be going overboard and he said what we ordered he thought would be the perfect amount of food so I will save that for another day. We ordered a second cocktail, mine was the Persephone's Elixir and my friend ordered the Peonies in the Park. We both enjoyed these cocktails more than we enjoyed the first cocktails we ordered. The egg white on mine made a little frothy creamy top and I loved the slight sweetness from the vanilla syrup and the pomegranate juice. I tried my friend's cocktail and it was so refreshing, it was peony infused vodka with rhubarb liqueur with a strawberry-rhubarb shrub. Next up for us was our main dish. I ordered the Spring Ravioli and my friend ordered the Persian Chicken. My ravioli was the best pasta dish I have had in quite some time. I usually don't eat an entire entree, I usually bring half home, this one though I ate every little bit, I would have licked the plate if I were not in a nice restaurant! Housemade ravioli with a filling of sweet peas, ricotta and percorino cheese bathed in a potato veloute' with sugar snap peas, pink peppercorns, chive oil and microgreens. I would order this again tomorrow if I were to go back tomorrow. My friend loved her chicken and her baked rice as well. So even after all these food, and it was a lot, we had to go for dessert. I ordered a cup of coffee with cream along with Crunch-Dipped Peanut Butter Pie and my friend ordered the Double Scoop of Housemade Peanut-Butter and Chocolate Gelato. We enjoyed these as well. We will definitely make another trip here as the service, food, and cocktails were right on point. Thanks so much to 9th Street Bistro and I hope you have many years of success.

Picked a date with my husband and easily booked a reservation online. While there is some minor construction near the restaurant, it was still very easy for us to find nearby parking. Because the restaurant is small and intimate, they really encourage reservations and staying on time and not arriving any earlier than your time. We are both notoriously early people, but we hung around outside and walked around and we ended up getting a text 10 minutes before our reservation that our table was ready. I totally understand why they did that, as the entry to the restaurant doesn't really allow for standing and waiting. We were sat up front, near the entry and greeted rather quickly by James, who was clearly very passionate about the food and it made for a great time. While everything was delicious and the service was extremely top notch, I was disappointed that the meal that i was waiting to try, the sole reason I made the reservation, was riddled with onions! No where in the description of the risotto was there mention of onions. With every bite, onions! And I get it, I'm in the wrong not liking a very important ingredient in cooking, but I really expected there to atleast be mention of onions when some of the other menu items had their ingredients listed. Overall, will I come back, yes! But I can't get over the onions and how blackened the pork was (in comparison to the IG photo). A little deceiving.

Fried sweet plantains are one of my favorite things (and what I miss most about living in Miami may years ago...) So this weekend I finally decided to stop there. How fun to realize that half of the bus is also tables for an actual sit-in dining experience?! What a cute, unique experience. Also I learned they are closed Sunday & Monday, but otherwise there in the week for lunch through dinner. I got there at a perfect time - I was the only person. But they shortly got several more customers as I was there. I was really just going to order fried sweet plantains, but I decided to get the "vegan arepa" with is an arepa with black brands, avocado, and the friend sweet plantains. ($11.50) I'm not vegan / I eat meat, but that combination looked appealing today and would also get me some of the sweet plaintains that I was craving. I got it to go, and it came with a little side of a nice crème sauce, and a little side of red sauce that I very quickly learned was ghost pepper! Which I don't see mention of on the menu, but I heard the other patrons in the bus talking about it. (I will say, I did save the rest of that little contianer ... gonna suffer wth it on some other food, too ...) The food was a #yum!
