Stopped in to one of my favorite Irish pubs in Indy for a tasty pint of Guinness. While here, we had the scotch eggs, which are some of the best I've had!!! The staff is friendly and attentive and always a good conversation with fellow patrons. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop in!

This is one of my favorite Irish pubs in Indy and one of the best places to go for a Guinness. When we stopped in, we also ordered the Scotch Eggs. Talk about deliciousness!! Thee might be the best Scottish Eggs I've had! They were crispy in the outside and bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. I'm a fan of all the decor too. We go here most times we're on the north side.

Went here after dinner with friends to catch the IU vs. Purdue game. The amount of tv's was great and the people and atmosphere where nice and not to loud or crowded. It is a smaller place as seen from the pics but it ads to the ambiance. The only issue we had which is my fault for not checking my bill before I gave the server my card was being charged for a drink I never got. I only had ordered a whiskey on the rocks and cider so how she lost count of the amount of drinks I had stumps me but be it as it may overall a decent place.

Went for early dinner Arrived prior to 6 and was greeted immediately. They have a huge beer menu. We ordered Scotch Eggs. The eggs were good but unlike others we have had these were like chicken fried. They came with a horseradish/mayo sauce which was good The beer was good and cold. Served in a normal tavern glass My husband ordered fish and chips. He thought it was wonderful. Real beer batter. Pub fries and English peas I had corn beef and cabbage. It was a disappointment. The cabbage was good but the corn beef was thick slices prepared on a grill and placed in some kind of Guinness sauce. I ate it but would not order it again We ordered Irish cheese cake. It was normal cheese cake with chocolate sauce all over it and some kind of whipped cream? On the side. Didn't expect the chocolate and the cream stuff looked like cottage cheese We ordered coffee and asked for a refill. They said we got the last two coffee's and couldn't have a refill. Our waitress was new to this location so we let a couple of things pass The atmosphere is differently pub. Set up for group drinking and no frills dining We left about 7:15 and there was a wait. They do not take reservations I probably won't go back but if you like that old pub atmosphere and no frills dining with megs tv's this is the place for you

I've been to Brockway twice now, and evaluating this restaurant reminds me of one of the taglines used in the 1990's TV show The X-Files - "I want to believe...". I want Brockway to be my go-to source for the Pub experience. I want very badly for the food to impress me. I want the service to be great. The problem is, those things never really materialize. The ambiance is certainly great, and the location on Old Meridian is a prime spot. But, that's where the fun stops. Bangers & Mash is usually something I get very excited about, but here, the dish lacked excitement. I'm sure we'll probably be back again. I came very close to just doing three stars, to avoid seeming negative. But, two is all I could muster here. I'll come again, and I'll branch out on the menu a little. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

The servers are always nice but the food and drinks are just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here when there are better options in Carmel. The Trump flag is disappointing - we won't be back.

I wanted to try something new for st paddy's this year and let's just say what I expected wasn't at all what I received ! The service and ambiance was no friendly and just ok they only were service st paddy's day menu with a very select menu ! I got the shepads pie served in a paper tray no served with a single side for $19 and my friend a sandwich and fires for $15 ! I do give them grace as it is the busiest few days for them but I wish server would have been friendly asking if we needed other things with more flavor for food and served on a plate ! The manager did take care of my concerns which I appreciate not sure I would choose to return for lunch maybe after st paddy's day to try other menu items definetely a bar vibe

Excellent food and ambience! We happened in late on a Tuesday night after a long day and it was such a treat to have a group of musicians playing Irish music. Really made for a great experience! The food is very very good, there's a huge variety of beer and a nice, dark and cozy Irish pub feel! Open late and great for late night bites!!

The interior is what you'd expect from a Pub named Brockway Public House with a large bar, tall-top and 4-top tables and several tables to accomadate a group. Many flat-screens are placed throughout the restaurant with 3 over the bar. An outdoor patio, on two sides of the building, is available when weather permits. I'm looking forward to warmer weather so we can take advantage of the patio. The atmosphere is fun, many regular patrons, full of laughter and loud most of the time. During one of my past visits I ordered the Barley Salad Mixed Greens (a few to many bitter ones) with cooked barley, walnuts, dried cherries, tossed with olive oil dressing and touch of lemon. Not a fan of the olive oil dressing which I thought was to heavy for the salad and overpowers the flavors. They used a small amount of barley which was nice and not a flavor deterrent. Walnuts were excellent, sweet and helps offset the bitterness of the greens if not mixed thoroughly. I noticed on my last visit this salad is no longer on the menu. I was extremely disappointed in the service. Drink order and lunch arrived timely then it was as if we didn't exist. It appeared everyone sitting at tables felt the same and a couple actually moved to the bar while others steamed. The bartender was the only server waiting tables right now and he seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people rolling in with a total of 6 couples (only two w/food orders) and 4 bar drinkers. Maybe it's just his personality but after food was dropped off he was a ghost. We were never checked on again to check if food was fine, nor any drink refills. Not one! Nice beer selection & specialty drinks but with this type of service you certainly don't want to order another drink. We shouldn't have to sit at the bar to get decent service. Couple at next table ate, gave up on ordering another beer, paid at the bar and left. Outdoor tables were coming in for refills so keep that in mind if you sit outdoors. Because of the beer selection we'll be back but I'm not sure we'll try ordering food again unless we sit at bar. I prefer not to eat a full meal at the bar though. Today, service 1 star, food 3 stars. Great Lunch menu selection from the Pick 2 for $9.99, available Monday through Friday 11 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Decent lunch selection with Reuben, BLT, Turkey and Cheddar, Corned Beef and Slaw, Fish, 4 Wings and a Guinness Chop. Today's visit was much improved from my last visit. The bartender, M. Sawyer, had a full bar so I selectioned one of the small tables in the bar area. The bartender was attentive, friendly, timely and made a nice cocktail. I ordered off of the small plates section of the regular menu. The Brockway Bams sounded good so I ordered those and a margarita. The Bams are Icelandic cod bites prepared with their award winning beer batter and served with Brockway sauce. I was concerned they would be either all batter, overcooked or extremely greasy. I was pleasantly surprised when a heaping portion of fish arrived with sauce. The Fish Nuggets had a light beer batter, perfectly golden brown with fresh, flaky fish inside. Very affordable appetizer for $9.50 and can easily share or have as a meal. Today's visit was a totally different experience which was pleasant with good food and drink. I'll return sooner hoping the service is consistent with today's. Fun location on Old Meridian with street parking or in lot behind the businesses.

The table was dirty and there was a weird musty smell. The Irish margarita only tasted like bourbon and the fries and the pretzels were so bland they didn't even have salt. The burger here was bland which is normal considering I go a cheeseburger but ever the patty just tasted like raw meat. The ale sauce was watery and had no flavor. Overall, I probably wouldn't come here again. The service was fast though and the lady was nice.

So I've been to Brock way plenty of times over the last two years. Figured it was time to give them kudos. The two guys they had working tonight have great customer service skills. Both very friendly and very efficient. I don't have either name unfortunately, but I've had the pleasure of being waited on by both before. But they're ideal bar/pub servers. As far as food goes, most people are missing out on this place. Please stop for more than just a drink! They have a great menu, that no matter what I order I enjoy. I do strongly recommend the chowder, especially on cold damp days, as well as any of their sandwiches. It's also just a great themed spot, really represents that local bar feeling you want, better than a modern gastro pub. It's inviting like a pub is supposed to be! Every time I'm in I feel welcomed and like my business is appreciated. Keep it up!

Muldoon's ended up being exactly what we were hoping for. The covered patio was comfortable, welcoming, and surprisingly peaceful despite being right downtown. Our server kept the drinks coming while we caught up, and the atmosphere made it easy to lose track of time. The real MVP of the afternoon, though, was my friend's tiny pup. She became the unofficial patio greeter, with a steady stream of people stopping by to say hello, ask to pet her, and strike up conversations. Before we knew it, we'd spent hours chatting with each other and a handful of friendly strangers. Sometimes the best restaurant memories aren't about one unforgettable meal--they're about finding a place where you're happy to linger. Muldoon's absolutely delivered that kind of afternoon. If you're in Carmel with your dog (or just looking for a great patio to unwind), I'd happily recommend giving this spot a try.

I got the Crack Dip, and some boneless wings with the dry goat rub (was recommended). The crack dip came with chicharrones, which was interesting. It tasted...fine. Just kinda bland with not much going for so it, other than being cream cheesey. Unfortunately the chicharrones did not really add much to the experience. My boneless wings were also the same... Fine. Kinda bland. The dry rub doesn't actually stick to the breading, so it was just plain chunks of breaded chicken tenders with a little pile of seasoning sitting in the bottom of the basket. My friends food however, was actually pretty tasty! The bone-in wings with chili garlic honey sauce were zesty and juicy. Two others ordered burgers, which were decently sized and were rated as delicious. Another friend got the thai chicken lettuce wraps, which the sauces were very tasty with. Especially since we had a long drawn out conversation about her inability to change the alcohol type in one of our drinks because it's premixed, you'd think she would remember. Sadly, no. We should have left then but were there for a watch party. So we ended up reordering and paying again for the missing drink. We moved to a different area of the bar and still experienced subpar service. Nearly every staff member in this place had the look on their faces like everyone was an inconvenience to them. Not one smile. Very limited interaction. And overall, extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend! Cherry on top: when you pay, they have the unmitigated gall to have the tip increments go from 22-30%. Not a one person who "served" us worked to deserve a tip of that magnitude. And I'm saying this as a very generous tipper! Never again....which I'm sure they don't mind since it's clear they don't care.

We sat right in the middle of the main thoroughfare and were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes before we finally flagged someone down. The guy, "H," apologized and said, "Oh, my bad--it's all good." We figured, no big deal, let's move on. We ordered pretty simple food, apps and were then going to put in some entrees once apps arrived. We asked for waters and a water bowl for our pups. He brought two waters--with no straws--and no dog bowl. We assumed he was going to grab the bowl, so we waited... and waited. Then I noticed him at the end of the bar leaning against some boxes, texting. So I finally got up, interrupted him and asked for the dog bowl. His response, "oh my bad." Our appetizers came out, and naturally, we asked for silverware. A few minutes later, I spotted "H" in the corner on his phone again. At that point I was thinking, seriously?! So I got up again, interrupted "H's" text convo and asked for silverware. His response again was, "Oh, my bad." I didn't respond to him I just turned around and went back to my seat. Honestly, the whole experience started feeling more like a self-serve restaurant than table service. It's a chill spot and we weren't being needy whatsoever. We never asked for any refills- we were merely asking for the basics. We wanted to order more food, but by that point we were pretty turned off and decided to just get the check. Then came the final straw: my guy had his license and credit card sitting on the table because he hadn't brought his wallet out for our monon trek. When "H" came back with the checkout thing, without question or hesitation - he grabbed the card and swiped it. We didn't even realize what happened until afterward. Maybe that's standard there, but I've never had a server just take my card without asking. Usually you get a "hey do we want to use this card? Or something to confirm. And of course the tip structure is skewed so the min is 20% unless you want to try to figure out to manually enter in 15% (which most ppl don't -incl my guy), so we left 20% and left irritated and still hungry. "H" didn't seem hungover or anything--he just genuinely seemed like he did not not give a shiiiit. We had to get up three separate times to get things we had already requested: the dog bowl, a couple straws, and silverware. (Basics) And a quick note on the 7-Layer Hoss Dip: don't expect seven layers. It comes in a small thick ceramic bowl and was basically beans, guacamole, a tiny bit of corn and some hard cheese on top. Definitely would not recommend it. Way too "beany" and not worth $16 at all. The southwest rolls were decent- very fried tho. Cheesecake Factory's are better ;) The location and dog-friendly atmosphere are great, with the exception of the homeless camp right at their patio entrance, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Hopefully this was just an off night, because Big Lug has a lot going for it.
