My aunt, mother and I were ignored multiple times by multiple staff after we asked at bar if we should order there and were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Two other tables that came in after us were served. I then had to go up to the bar to ask to pay as no one came by again even after all our drinks were empty for at least 10 minutes. The steak (Popocatepetl: spicy black pepper crusted aged angus beef tenderloin / red cabbage and snow peas in cilantro vinaigrette / jasmine rice) we shared looked nothing like the description. Either our server was clueless regarding gluten-free, because this wasn't up to our standards for a high-end restaurant--the flavor wasn't the same as we remembered from several years ago, and the steak (medium rare) inside was colder--not room temperature, so I ended up not eating all of mine. Plus we had to ask for rice--which should have come with our meal since there isn't flour or any ingredients that would have made this harmful to me. Also, the side of asparagus it came with wasn't bright green and crispy--it was yellowish and flimsy-looking and tasting. For the price, this should have been more on point than what it was. We had split a steak, shared a soup, had a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne, and a dessert--oh, and a $12 split change (something they suggested--even though my partner and I were fine eating from the same plate)...the bill was almost $400 with tax & tip. The dessert however, was presented beautifully with mixed berries and a liquor which was then lit on fire--a festive dessert option since I have a gluten allergy. There are so many wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately, the food did not leave us craving to come back for more. If the service and decor wasn't so impressive, Sazon would have received one stars.

They focus on craft cocktails with seasonal ingredients. I visited late in the night after other stops at Secreto and Coyote Cafe, so I was flagging a bit. I can't even remember what I ordered, but both cocktails were great. Very herbal and complex. They have herbal cocktails, savory cocktails, spicy too. I also love how some of their cocktails have little romance novels or stories to go along with them as a way to describe their flavors/mood.

They allow you to choose four different toppings for each piece of bruschetta which is really nice because all the toppings sound so good. To drink, I had the minimal intervention wine flight, and my husband had the hatch green chili margarita. I enjoyed my flight, especially the Chenin Blanc, but can't lie, I was a little envious when my husband's margarita arrived! The bacon wrapped dates were tasty per usual, but the bruschetta was outstanding! We did not finish the bruschetta because we also had an entree coming, the Pasta New Mexico. It was everything you want pasta to be with a good kick from the hatch chili and red pepper flakes. We left fat and happy! Later that same week we came back on a Friday night, and it was hopping. It looked like there were two major big parties happening which initially concerned us that we might not make it out on time for our event that evening. However, we believe our server got our order to the kitchen before putting in the big one! Yay! And our order was the same as Monday night because we enjoyed it so much. The only thing different was my drink. I got that hatch green chili margarita, and it was super refreshing! Our food came out of the kitchen at a decent time, but we did notice that the bread on the bruschetta lacked the toasted/grilled texture that it had on our first visit. Maybe the kitchen pushed it out too fast or there was a different chef that night. It was still edible but not outstanding like it was the first time. Like most places, it is slower at the beginning of the week and very busy come the weekend which likely affects the quality of what you get. But overall, I think it's a solid place to drink/dine. If I get the chance to visit this city again, I will definitely come back.
