Visiting for a conference and loved checking this place out! The service was quick and kind and the cocktails were delicious and well balanced. There was a good variety of options and they were open late on Sunday night which was much appreciated. I might just have to go back for a the coffee cocktail before I go. read more

Hidden gem alert! This new cocktail bar in Missoula is a must. I stopped in here with the fam while I was visiting for the holidays and it was the perfect nightcap to the end of our night. My favorite drink was the Fuzzy Shrub, it gave island vibes with the rum, lime, strawberry shrub and coconut going together so smoothly. The atmosphere inside is cozy and quaint with a decent amount of seats at the bar or a couple of chairs and tables set together around the space. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful! If you haven't checked this place out, now is the time to head on down and grab yourself a cocktail or a small bite to eat from this rockin' new bar. read more

My friend was in town and we decided to try this place out! From the moment we walked through the door, we loved the ambiance and felt welcomed by staff. We went in at about 5:45pm and there were a handful of other patrons, but plenty of barstools available for seating. We were given menus immediately and were not rushed to order. I didn't catch our bartender's name, but they were very kind and had some super cool glasses! We each ordered a cocktail and then we ordered three small plates--croquettas (croquettes), ensalada tomate (marinated tomato/onion/olive salad), and the pan con tomate (toast with tomato). The croquettas were our favorite! My friend had the Little Birdy cocktail which was fruity and refreshing. I can't find the name of the one I ordered on their menu online but it had Sevilla orange gin, lemon and a few other ingredients. It was equally delicious and refreshing and I loved the presentation of the cocktails. I will definitely return to Bar Plata! read more

I had great expectations as this bar was highly recommended. When we arrived I was almost run over by the bartender who was heading towards the front door. We sat at the bar right next to the serrano ham that looked very wilted. After ordering our drinks, the bartender gave the drink I ordered to my husband and then the drink he ordered to me. Since we were tasting their featured drinks we didn't know exactly what we had ordered. When drinking my cocktail I noticed it was missing the distinct flavor of bourbon. I nicely asked if they used a special bourbon and the bartender told us we had the wrong drinks. By that time my husband had almost finished drinking the entire drink. I do believe this problem should have been fixed by the offer of a half drink or something like that since it was the bartender's error in giving us the wrong drinks. It was a mistake and should not have been made as the bar was not that crowded. I will not be recommending this bar! Truly disappointed. read more

My husband and daughter each ordered a Honeybee Highball, which they said was very good -- not too sweet, but citrusy-tart, with that hint of rosemary.

If you are looking for a place with soul, a curated selection, and a staff that cares, this is it.
