This place has a cool little vibe about it right downtown Missoula Great place to hang out with friends have a couple drinks. Get some amazing Mexican food. Service has always friendly and very attentive to our needs.

The location was great downtown and inside was really nice. The ceviche was a little different and a bit more sashimi style and no chips to accompany it. The tacos and guacamole were delicious though. We had a great server who was very attentive.

Excellent service, excellent food and one of the only places open past 9 pm. Great ambiance, modern but inviting. Our server was exceptional and there's food was delicious. The mezcal selection is impressive and they had outside seating. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Oooh, very vegan friendly too.

Very cute Mexican restaurant in the residence inn. Has happy hour from 3-5 including food and drinks. Nice staff and cute interior. Wings are delicious and served with a twist on house made ranch sauce.

I'd call this place upscale Mexican. Not the standard Mexican but Mexican with a high-class twist. Definitely a hipster/trendy vibe with lots of young professionals. It was packed but we were able to get in and sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The house margaritas hit the spot. For food we split the guacamole, the crabmeat tostada, the huarache and the ceviche. A little bit pricy and not super large portions. The guacamole was amazing and came with a bucket of chips. The huarache was even better, and I highly recommend it. The ceviche was delicious. I would pass on the tostada, since I couldn't taste any crab in there.

Best margs in town!! Must go during happy hour. Overall, the staff is nice, and the inside is well-done. The food is more upscale with smaller portions. Fun place!

Tostado De Congerjo(SP) this raw yellowfin was amazing plugged into my need for sushi. Was exceptional. Service was spot on. The place is laid back with a Caribbean/Florida feel. The house margarita during happy hour was amazing and worth every $7. We also got a silver mezcal shot.

We were passing through Missoula and needed a margarita - ASAP. This one did not disappoint. We opted for the guacamole, and received the HUGEST portion of guacamole we've ever ordered in one sitting. The accompanied salsas were very tasty, had a good kick. We ordered the pork torta to share, and it was a hearty portion. The atmosphere was casual & inviting.

The tacos are fantastic! I highly recommend the carne asada and shrimp tacos. So good I went back for a second of each. The fried chicken is more like a hard fish stick, so I'd steer clear of that one. The house margaritas are also a great addition for a taco feast. Service was great. The kitchen took a while to get 3 tacos made, but they were all hot and tasted fresh when they came out.

Very small churro - tasty, but not a good value.

I thought the staff was really great and the quality of the food was great, unfortunately the flavour didn't match the hype. This place was really packed and everyone seemed to be having a blast, but I wasn't super impressed with the flavour. The food is a little pricey for "good" Mexican, it's priced for "excellent" Mexican. I live in the southwest so I'm a bit jaded when it comes to Mexican food. I suggest you sit at the bar, enjoy some drinks, chips, salsa, and maybe an appetizer. Spend your money on the booze and skip the entire

Love the Camino! Both my friend and I had the Pink Slushie that was rimmed in pop rocks, shared some street corn. The posole verde is amazing!! We just loved our dinners and it is a cute place I side. Very reasonable in terms of pricing too which was great - $80 for two of us and we were full!

Visiting Missoula for work. Stopped in for a quick bite at the bar ~5:30 on a Wednesday and the place was hopping. Non-traditional Mexican food and drink menu. Was not a fan of the margarita. Bartender asked if I wanted salt - yes of course - and brought a drink that had a bunch of salt clumped on one side of the glass. Chips and salsa were fine. Red salsa better than green. Got 2 tacos - carnitas and pollo. Both were fine, nothing special. Overall was fine but probably would not go back.

Ok....short and sweet. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a college town. The wait staff was very friendly and quick. The tortilla chips come in this big ceramic cup with a handle on it that's perfect for passing around the table. Everything was perfect. Well done!!!

    Best happy hour in town!

The food and service was very good. And that is with us not having a reservation on an extremely busy night. The drinks were also excellent.

It was suggested that I get reservations, but since I was only one person, I found a spot at the bar. The servers were super attentive and friendly. They were also really knowledgeable about the wines as well as the food. It's a steakhouse, but I was craving fish, so I got the salmon at the advice of the bartender. He was not wrong, it was incredible. They got the crisp of the skin just right. I discovered gamay noir wine for the first time! I can't believe I've never had this. It's absolutely delightful! It is complex while also being light and refreshing. The inside of the restaurant is nice and perfectly lit. It is great for a date or to come out with friends. They really show that sweet montana hospitality. If u am ever back in Missoula, I'm coming back for that salmon and that Gamay Noir!

Every place we looked at including 1889 had multiple negative reviews but I chose 1889 for no particular reason. When all was said and done, we definitely made the right choice. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, drinks were fantastic and service was great as well. With the Bison Steak, I suggest not going rare. Heat it up a notch and it's just about as tender as the filet.

They carry everything from accessible staples like Buffalo Trace and WhistlePig 10, to rare finds like Weller Full Proof and Octomore 13.3. They even have three single malts from the Game of Thrones collection. Solid pours that are affordable and enjoyable. The owner clearly curates with care. He knows what he is doing. The beer list is just as impressive. You can grab a PBR if that is your pace, or you can work through a rotating selection of craft beers. They have Delirium Tremens on draft, which you almost never see. A wide range of local Montana brews too. There is something for everyone, and nothing feels like an afterthought.
