We were really excited to try this new spot, but didn't know what to expect since there were very few reviews, especially pictures/mentions of food. Overall excellent for happy hour, and a one-on-one get together (focused around drinks) but not conducive for groups, or dinner. The most important thing to note is that it gets extremely loud. It was difficult to hear the person across the table from me, and next to me at times. So I would also not consider this location for a date if you are genuinely trying to get to know someone or catch up. We came with a small group (5 people) expecting to grab food and a quick drink before an event understanding that there are some great and interesting happy hour deals. The plates are very small, including the "shareables" and mains. Ordering enough for everyone made the bill really expensive, even when we drifted towards the happy hour deals. The menu isn't exactly a crowd pleaser, so I would not recommend for dinner. The drinks are lovely, and the shared bites are great if you know the portions are small. All of the food came out quickly which was a plus! The cacio pepe, even though its listed as a main, was only 4 or 5 forkfuls. But it was also our favorite order of the night. The chicken sandwich featured crispy chicken and spicy coleslaw but was a little wet. Fries were standard. Solid spot! I went here with a large group, just under 10 of us I think, and they handled us so well. I know that's is always tough to handle big groups in small bars but we got a nice table in the back and the staff was super kind and patient with us. There's a big booth table at the back of the restaurant which can accommodate but the seat + table are so high up, most of our feet were just dangling, and it's super awkward to get out. If you're like me and found this place via TikTok or IG, then i'm here to tell you to believe the hype. This restaurant is definitely one that won't break the bank and the quality of food and drinks are worth it. I recommend making a resy as it packs out fast and while the bar is fairly large, seats go by quick. The bartenders are super attentive and helpful when It comes to what to order from the menu. They have happy hour until 7 Sunday - Friday and all of the drinks offered are under $10 (a steal). Outside of Happy Hour they also have daily drink specials all day long which is another steal and I love the fact that the drink specials and happy hour specials aren't just limited to the bar. My only complaint is that i wish for $19 the burgers and sandwiches came with fries other than that, this spot is fairly solid. I have been to bar revival twice once for their newly launched brunch menu, and the other time for enjoying some amazing cocktails. For brunch everything's delicious including their chicken burger and my favorite was the French toast. When it comes to drinks, they have some creative cocktails and some famous ones like espresso martini is my personal favorite, but I also like their aperol spritz and the Golden sky, which is a gin cocktail. 4.5 stars When my friend suggested that I meet her and some others at Bar Revival the other night, I had my doubts. While the cocktail list was extensive, the food menu was extremely limited. Since she and I initially bonded over our love of food, I was surprised by the recommendation. She stood by the choice, noting its climbing popularity online and its creative beverage program. I gave in and decided to see what the hot spot was all about. As I walked down Ludlow Street, I heard a massive amount of people talking and thought there was a party happening at one of the apartments over head. But, no, the ruckus was coming from the bar to which I was heading! They had all of the windows open, and the place was packed! My friends had secured a tiny high-top table in the front, which provided us with prime people-watching views through the open facade. We were definitely cramped and having issues hearing each other, which led us to agree to stay for one round of drinks and a few bites before heading elsewhere for a full meal. Thankfully, it was still happy hour, so I ordered one of the Fortune Teller Margaritas for $7, rather than its usual $15. The bright red blend of blanco tequila, ancho reyes, Falernum, red bell pepper, lime, and cilantro made for one of the best spicy margaritas I had ever had! It was smoky, earthy, spicy, and tart. From a food perspective, the four of us ordered a few plates to share, but were annoyed to discover that most of them did not have the necessary number of items for us each to have our own - a fact that we had wished the waiter had alerted us to. He was very friendly, but really could have been more helpful. The Dumplings, for instance, came as a plate of 3; we certainly would have added a fourth had we known that in advance. Anyway, the crispy, fried, and already delicious noodle wraps were amped up with the accoutrements of peanuts, dried chilies, chives. The Arancini seemed similarly generic, were served as only 3 balls, and were also enhanced by their pesto dipping sauce. The mayonnaise-heavy Shrimp Toasts were served on two long pieces of bread; they were delicious, but needed to be cut in half. Lastly, the Burrata was probably the most unique item we tried, in that it was served over a salad of sugar snap peas, preserved lemons, pickled raisins, and hazelnuts. The creamy, mild cheese was a great complement to the acidic lemons and raisins, and a textural contrast to the crunchy peas and nuts. Again, this was served with only 2 slices of toast, so splitting was key. We were all impressed with the quality of the drinks and the elevated bar food at Bar Revival, though we wished there had been a bit more attention to detail in the portioning, especially when the place's menu was centered around shareable plates. read more

This is one of the best happy hour deals I've been to in a long time. Their happy hour runs until 7pm with drinks $7/$8. They also have daily specials and I went on a Wednesday when they have 1/2 off glasses or bottles of wine. So I will definitely be back. But now let me get into the review. I'll start with customer service. They were a bit slammed so they didn't check in as often and we had to ask for water, etc. However, when they came to service us they were very nice. In terms of the ambiance, it is such a beautiful spot with lots of seating in the front and back. But be warned that it is very loud in there. It wasn't their music but simply the amount of people in the space. I hope that's not a regular thing but at times I felt like I had to shout. I ordered the steak frites and they were good, although cooked a bit under than what I asked for. The heirloom bites were a bit of a let down and wouldn't order again. Best asparagus I've ever had. I would ask for it as my last meal. It was so good it was like eating a bowl of good pasta but it wasn't pasta it was asparagus. Lemony, buttery, had a crunch from the panko crumbs and Parmesan. The egg was fine. It's filled with young transplants who've made the long trek from Murray Hill with the sole purpose of taking photos at an "aesthetic" bar to post on Instagram.
