They changed their SP Curry soup recently and didn't update the menu to share the new ingredients, just the price (now nearly a $30 soup). Now for $27, you don't get all seafood like you used to (crab, shrimp, fish, squid), now you get: a few shrimp, lots of chopped up cabbage, and what appears like a blend of fish and crab meat remains combined together with tiny pieces of crab shell in the mix. I called to talk to them about it and asked why they didn't disclose the updated soup contents on their menu, but the person that answered couldnt be bothered to explain why they were charging more for less seafood, much less offer acknowledgement of feedback provided. Beware.
Generally, not bad! And they have good BOGO days. My friend and I ordered the sampler platter, pad Thai, yellow curry. All of it was good except the cream cheese wontons. They tasted soooo fishy, they were gross. I've never had a pad Thai so juicy..! Which we liked, but might turn others off. It was also a bit sweet, but good. Service was slow but they were apologetic and still very nice. It's quite small inside, so during rush hour seating will be limited. I would come here again, but on a BOGO day.
Such an underrated gem! We found them through DoorDash and ordered takeout. They are located in an area with parking meters so best to go with a second person so they can watch your car while you dash in to pick up the food. We tried the pad Thai and the Thai fried rice. Let me tell you, the pad Thai is the BEST I have ever had. Top 3 for sure. The sauce is on point, it isn't too sweet or sour. It's not too fake orange too. My husband who doesn't even like pad thai thought it was delicious. The Thai fried rice is good too but if you have to get something, get the pad thai :)
Well.. I was craving a nice lunch , decided to have a take out order of chicken Thai fried rice and a small Thai iced tea. The only thing I asked the server to my order was no onions. I didnt check my order before leaving the restaurant. Arrived home, ready to dig in and to my surprise there was no onion. However I didnt think the cook wouldnt include any other vegetables in the order! So I went online and the order gives options on meat or tofu and vegetables that come with the rice. Im upset because I put blame on the cook who prepared my order. I would love to return as a customer, but hope Baramee can make things right. Please reach out!
I was having a craving for pad Thai and this place had a great deal so I was able to get two for one and have it delivered to my house. Food was still piping hot when I got it. The Pad Thai noodles were exactly as I hoped they would taste. The tofu bites were a delicious mouthful and not soggy even though delivered! Between the two, it was a satisfying meal and it made my day to have it again the next day. I look forward to trying other items.
Walked in I was seated right away. Two very friendly ladies welcome me into the restaurant. The restaurant is cool, comfortable and cozy. I started lunch off with a Diet Coke. I like the lunch menu. You have a lot to choose from. There are many different types of foods to order. I had the steamed tofu with vegetables and white rice. My steamed tofu was delicious and came in a bowl. I had white rice and a salad on the plate as well. I like the service here and the waitresses were very friendly. The food was delicious. I recommend Baramee Thai Restaurant!

Came here for lunch while waiting for the auto shop to change our tires. There is lunch special menu so it was prefect. I try their Thai street style with white rice and my boyfriend got the yellow curry combination. The portion is good and the flavor is good. Would come back and try other items on the menu. Highly recommend! The server were very friendly and welcoming.
One of the better restaurant options in downtown San Pedro. Food is always yummy and the waiter staff are awesome. I think you get a free drink with Yelp check in. They have lunch specials for a good price. They do tend to be a little pricier than other Thai restaurants but then again a lot of restaurant prices are going up. Most things are 15/20 dollars and can usually be split by two people portion wise. Everything I've tried has been good. They also have decent pho if you're really craving it since Pedro has zero pho places. They also serve beer and wine.
Baramee is a in the downtown San Pedro area. We went around 2.30pm and one of the few Thai restaurants that is open even after 3:00pm. Not many people when we went, the setup and interiors looked simple and pleasant. Plenty of natural light inside the restaurant. We ordered the pad thai, spicy spinach chicken, fried rice with tofu and panang curry with chicken. Everything tasted great except for the pad thai. It tasted bland compared to other items which was very flavorful. Little bit on the expensive side for a Thai restaurant as I have had several Thai food in the past where they are always generous about the quantity of the food and felt like it is good value for money. However, this restaurant seemed to be on the downtown area so I can understand the price point. Overall, its a nice place to eat and I will stop by in the future if I am around the area.
Spicy beef fried rice is delicious! Generous portions. Steamed chicken dumplings 8 count for $9 happy hour deal is worth it. So tasty! Service is prompt and friendly. Ambiance is chill jazzy music, good lighting, comfortable seats for the time here. Prices not too crazy! Solid spot!
The food was amazing! I totally recommend! My Fiance and I were looking for a Thai restaurant and we came across this one and because of all the good yelp reviews (and the fact they sell beer) we decided to try it. The ambience was nice and staff was friendly. The food portions were large and the flavor was amazing. We ordered the yellow curry, spicy fried chicken wings, pad thai, spicy eggplant. Amazing!

Great little restaurant. Very clean (spotless restroom) with fast, friendly, & attentive service. The food was served hot & fresh. And everything was DELICIOUS. They have lunch specials everyday until 3pm. Our only complaint was the parking. There's no lot and much of the street parking is red. But ALL of the restaurants here have the same problem. And the food was worth the hassle! read more

First visit was 4/29/2024 and I dined in. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great! I ordered the Drunken Noodles mild (it was VERY spicy in my opinion. Next time I'd do no spice) and mango sticky rice. Both dishes were delicious. I also got a free Thai tea with check in which was delicious. My second visit today, 6/10/2024 was very underwhelming. I got my food to go. I decided to order something different and did the Pad See Ew. The noodles were very mushy which made the overall meal just okay in my opinion. I'm not sure if the steam from being in the to go container made them get mushy or if it was just prepared this way, but it was definitely disappointing. I also ordered the chicken dumpling starter which was very tasty. Overall, I think they're a good restaurant to try for sure! Just very disappointed in my second visit since I was craving it. I probably should've ordered the same thing the second time. read more

After checking out the Cruise Terminal, lunch beckoned. And this was close to where we parked near Enterprise Rental. Convenient. Stepping inside, found this small space packed. But we still found a table upfront. There is outdoor seating as well. Friendly servers and very apologetic for the short delay, we brushed it off and ordered. The wife and I both went with their Lunch Specials; Thai Boxing Chicken for me, which came with a salad and my choice of white rice $16.99. And the Mixed Veggies for her, with salad and brown rice. Her order also included beef and chicken $15.99. I also requested the medium Iced Thai Tea $5.99. Good food, friendly staff, comfy seating; not great but very satisfying. The Uber driver and Yelp reviews led me to eat here and this place did not disappoint! Perfect place to eat before/after getting onto/off cruise terminal. We got the khao soi with chicken, duck noodle soup and their thai iced tea. Everything was so good and the servers were all super nice! If you want Thai food in San Pedrol, then this is the place to be.I could not get enough of the khao soi, egg noodles with curry sauce and chicken. The noodles were chewy and the sauce stuck onto every strand so every bite was a burst of flavor. I also loved the surf and turf fried rice. The filet mignon was tender and not tough while the shrimp was plump. I think the best part about it was the rice though. They did some magical stuff with the flavoring and texture because I could eat a bucket of that on its own. The tuna tartare had a Thai twist to it, which was personally not my favorite but that's probably because I'm so used to the Hawaiian style poke I typically eat. That said, wonton chips were a great pairing with it. I had my first ever mango sticky rice and it was AMAZING. The rice was the perfect texture and even had a little color from the butterfly pea. The mango was perfectly ripe where it was sweet and juicy but also had a little bite so that it wasn't mush when you ate it. The pool of coconut sauce was the icing on the cake to this delicious dessert. If you visit, I would 100% recommend dining outdoors if the weather is good since it's so relaxing and beautiful. Lovely and clean establishment, large menu of Thai foods, as well as Specials. The highlight of the meal was the Soft shelled crab panang curry, crab was perfectly cooked, curry was tasty. Wish we'd ordered more items off the specials menu. Good and fast service, reasonable prices. You can call and make reservations ahead of time for large groups. Street meter parking. Check in for a free drink, they were nice and let all 6 of us choose Thai tea as our free drink! read more

I recently tried Baramee for lunchwhen i was visiting the San Pedro area and their food was deliciously amazing! I wish i live closer to this restaurant so I could visit often and try all their signature dishes!! Since my friend and I were very hungry, we ended up ordering several dishes here. We stated out with the Thai iced tea and Aromatic Soft Shell Crab as the appetizer. I really loved how the crab was so crunchy and deliciously filled with aromatic herbs on every bite. For the main dish, we ordered: Crazy Filet Mignon - i really loved how they put the string beans underneath the steak that complimented the overall dish! Surf and Turf Fried Rice- as a huge fan of fried rice, i could definitely eat this dish everyday! Khao soi with curry sauce and chicken-it was my first time trying khao soi and I loves how the curry flavor wasn't overpowering the entire bowl of soup. I will definitely return to visit this restaurant again when I'm in the area! read more

Best Thai food I've had in San Pedro as a Thai myself. Food was very delicious, although not authentic, I can say it has only slight modification unlike many places in America. Khao Soi is definitely a must try. It's a rare item and they made a good one. I found a few fusion dishes great too. Staff was really nice. They all speak Thai and good English. The cooking speed is fast. Love it! Parking is free on the next street. The street in front of the restaurant has meters. read more

My favorites were the tom yum soup, emerald curry salmon, and soft shell crab fried rice! It was all so flavorful! The service was absolutely amazing and super attentive! Great quality Thai food in San Pedro with an extensive menu and a beautiful outdoor patio! You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here, and their foods are all nicely presented. They also have a variety of drinks and cocktails. I got their fresh young coconut, Thai tea float, and a lychee martini cocktail which is soju based. - Baramee Sampler: comes with 3 chicken satay, 4 dumplings, 2 egg rolls, and 2 crispy cream cheese wonton. This was a nice assortment of appetizers to start with. The dumplings, egg rolls, and wontons were good but the chicken satay was dry. - Soft shell crab salad: this comes with a generous amount of crispy soft shell crab on a bed of salad with chili lime dressing. - SP Harbor Curry: I really enjoyed this dish which was a flavorful red coconut curry with an assortment of seafood including shrimp, squid, and fish. - Crab Noodles: this was my favorite dish here. The rice noodles were mixed with a generous amount of snow crab meat, egg, and bean sprout. The noodles were chewy and very flavorful. - Crying Tiger: this came as a whole medium rare ribeye steak with a dipping sauce that tasted pretty good. Overall a great spot to eat at for a nice upscale vibe and quality Thai food! There is street parking with meters available on the street and it was free parking when I went on a Sunday. read more

Baramee Thai is serving up some amazing Thai food in the San Pedro area, and you'll definitely want to head there this summer since their patio is gorgeous! They also have cocktails that are all soju based which means they are extra yummy and strong. Both drinks we got were refreshing and the soft shell crab salad we got was huge! They definitely did not skimp out on the meat and the dressing made it light too. Their roast duck fried rice was also one of my faves since it was moist and cooked perfectly! I did think the rice itself needed a bit more flavor but the fish sauce and the extra sauces they give on the side make a great add on so you can enjoy your meal how you like it! Their shrimp pad see ew satisfied my noodle craving and their pad cha pla dish was so light and crispy ! There's a bunch of street parking around the area and I definitely recommend heading down here for some great food and service! read more

Amazing Thai restaurant!! This is my second time visiting this restaurant & the second time again that their food was DELICIOUS!! I am a huge Thai food lover & this is a place I will continue to visit & I want to try everything on their menu! The service was quick & the servers were kind and knowledgeable about their dishes Bangkok Side Walk Lunch Dish 10/10: the flavors, the spices were all there! The sauce was amazing and so delicious! Thai Boxing Chicken 10/10: great flavors, the chicken slid off the bone & the sauce, wow, the sauce made it all that better. The ambiance was quiet and they also have beautiful seating outside as well read more
