Well.. I was craving a nice lunch , decided to have a take out order of chicken Thai fried rice and a small Thai iced tea. The only thing I asked the server to my order was no onions. I didnt check my order before leaving the restaurant. Arrived home, ready to dig in and to my surprise there was no onion. However I didnt think the cook wouldnt include any other vegetables in the order! So I went online and the order gives options on meat or tofu and vegetables that come with the rice. Such an underrated gem! We found them through DoorDash and ordered takeout. They are located in an area with parking meters so best to go with a second person so they can watch your car while you dash in to pick up the food. We tried the pad Thai and the Thai fried rice. Let me tell you, the pad Thai is the BEST I have ever had. Top 3 for sure. The sauce is on point, it isn't too sweet or sour. It's not too fake orange too. Walked in I was seated right away. Two very friendly ladies welcome me into the restaurant. The restaurant is cool, comfortable and cozy. I started lunch off with a Diet Coke. I like the lunch menu. One of the better restaurant options in downtown San Pedro. Food is always yummy and the waiter staff are awesome. I think you get a free drink with Yelp check in. They have lunch specials for a good price. They do tend to be a little pricier than other Thai restaurants but then again a lot of restaurant prices are going up. Most things are 15/20 dollars and can usually be split by two people portion wise. Everything I've tried has been good. I ordered the Hot & Spicy Basil Chicken. The seasoning was en pointe though. I ordered it medium hot, but it was kinda hot hot. But I'm okay with spice. It would have been a 5 rating if it weren't for the dry chicken. Service was expertly nice and friendly. The guy was all smiles and accommodating. He even took my straw wrappers from the table a couple times. The lady that delivered my food was all smiles too. Talk about great waitstaff. They also have lunch specials Mon-Fri, but I came on a Saturday and the prices were at full price. I guess the prices were okay, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive. Not many people when we went, the setup and interiors looked simple and pleasant. Plenty of natural light inside the restaurant. We ordered the pad thai, spicy spinach chicken, fried rice with tofu and panang curry with chicken. Everything tasted great except for the pad thai. It tasted bland compared to other items which was very flavorful. Little bit on the expensive side for a Thai restaurant as I have had several Thai food in the past where they are always generous about the quantity of the food and felt like it is good value for money. However, this restaurant seemed to be on the downtown area so I can understand the price point. Overall, its a nice place to eat and I will stop by in the future if I am around the area. read more

Next time I'd do no spice) and mango sticky rice. Both dishes were delicious. I also got a free Thai tea with check in which was delicious. My second visit today, 6/10/2024 was very underwhelming. I got my food to go. I decided to order something different and did the Pad See Ew. The noodles were very mushy which made the overall meal just okay in my opinion. I'm not sure if the steam from being in the to go container made them get mushy or if it was just prepared this way, but it was definitely disappointing. I also ordered the chicken dumpling starter which was very tasty. Overall, I think they're a good restaurant to try for sure! Just very disappointed in my second visit since I was craving it. If you want Thai food in San Pedrol, then this is the place to be.I could not get enough of the khao soi, egg noodles with curry sauce and chicken. The noodles were chewy and the sauce stuck onto every strand so every bite was a burst of flavor. I also loved the surf and turf fried rice. The filet mignon was tender and not tough while the shrimp was plump. I think the best part about it was the rice though. They did some magical stuff with the flavoring and texture because I could eat a bucket of that on its own. The tuna tartare had a Thai twist to it, which was personally not my favorite but that's probably because I'm so used to the Hawaiian style poke I typically eat. That said, wonton chips were a great pairing with it. I had my first ever mango sticky rice and it was AMAZING. The rice was the perfect texture and even had a little color from the butterfly pea. The mango was perfectly ripe where it was sweet and juicy but also had a little bite so that it wasn't mush when you ate it. The pool of coconut sauce was the icing on the cake to this delicious dessert. If you visit, I would 100% recommend dining outdoors if the weather is good since it's so relaxing and beautiful. I wish i live closer to this restaurant so I could visit often and try all their signature dishes!! Since my friend and I were very hungry, we ended up ordering several dishes here. We stated out with the Thai iced tea and Aromatic Soft Shell Crab as the appetizer. I really loved how the crab was so crunchy and deliciously filled with aromatic herbs on every bite. For the main dish, we ordered: Crazy Filet Mignon - i really loved how they put the string beans underneath the steak that complimented the overall dish! Surf and Turf Fried Rice- as a huge fan of fried rice, i could definitely eat this dish everyday! Barame, it was very unfortunate that the quality of food was very disappointing. The servers you had on 12/03/2025 at 6pm were not professionally adequate for this restaurant. My son and I have eaten here many times in the 17 years we have lived in Pedro and we both ordered Chicken Pad Thai and he ordered the Beef Pad Thai....simply terrible on the flavor. It was too sweet. In the many years I have never tasted a Pad Thai that sweet. Recipe and ingredients definitely changed. We were also served with a spoon for our noodles. Whoever eats noodles with spoons? Soda was flat. The only thing that was decent was the Jasmine Tea and only because it's a boxed tea bag and hot water and the wings. Everything else was very disappointing. The servers did not bother to check on any of the customers to see if they needed anything. This experience was not worth the $51.82 we spent. Please do better with your servers and do not change or add ingredients to dishes that should be authentic. Stay Authentic! Best Thai food I've had in San Pedro as a Thai myself. Food was very delicious, although not authentic, I can say it has only slight modification unlike many places in America. The dumplings, egg rolls, and wontons were good but the chicken satay was dry. - Soft shell crab salad: this comes with a generous amount of crispy soft shell crab on a bed of salad with chili lime dressing. - SP Harbor Curry: I really enjoyed this dish which was a flavorful red coconut curry with an assortment of seafood including shrimp, squid, and fish. - Crab Noodles: this was my favorite dish here. The rice noodles were mixed with a generous amount of snow crab meat, egg, and bean sprout. I have such fond memories of this place. One time, me and my straight friend (I share this because it is a crucial point to the story) were enjoying dinner here. He was a big fan of their Pad Thai. He is not someone who demands food to satisfy his taste or palette, he is the type of person who eats for fuel and satisfaction, not for joy, celebration or to honor the art of cuisine made to order. But he craved this place- he asked for Pad Thai. So this tell us that this place hits the spot for those who know little, or do not care to know much, of dining as brushstrokes absorbed by fork and finger. I am that type of diner. But more on that later, for now let us focus on the story I began tell before I went on a tangent like I some often do. He and I were sharing some plumb wine. It was fruity, it was purple, but more than that I cannot call. But we felt cool because we were having Asian fare alongside a glass of Pliumb wine. We made dinner that much special by a unique drink beverage. As we enjoyed our meal and drink, we recollected on a recent night when we went to a club party. I asked him, "did you contact the Cheetah from the other night." He replied. I can't remember, either he had or he had not. He probably did, he was smooth and cute, two assets that served him well when he went on the proverbial lady hunt. The lady right besides us, apologized for interrupting but she had a question. Ok--- grace us with your q, as we might have an A. She wanted to know what a cheetah was because she knew what a cougar was. I wish I could say that I came up with an elaborate story to define a Cheetah in the wild of the nightlife. But I was honest. I simply told her that he and I had gone to a Halloween parrty and he had secured the number of a young lady dressed as a Cheetah. He and I took an after dinner walk that night and laughed at the memory. This place allowed for this memory because to this day it is a clean, simple, and appropriately decorated restaurant. And I think this place has been around for at least 12 years. Last time, I went I got a to go order. The place did not have a lot to behold (hence what I describe it as having clean decorations) but what I did see was enough to keep me entertained. For example, I saw a black and white silhouette sticker (you know the type) that depicted Thailand. I think. The stencil had a taxi that was big enough to be a bus in proportion to the city. It also had a ferris wheel? Does Thailand have a famous ferris wheel? The mirrors held orange strings that were puff-like. I don't know why but I associate the color orange with Thailand. Was it a tradition for the strings that are like puffy to sit atop mirrors? They also had beers displayed--- Sapporo, which I know I have had at a Japanese spot. The place also had hanging greenery--- you know like a hanging garden. Don't imagine overt lush. Just imagine a trim of green. Again, the place is wonderfully simple but with eye-catching pizzazz that is elegant in its core. However, as I sat at their bar, I saw a case of bottled cokes, which was a counter hit to their clean aesthetic narrative. The place is an accessible option for those who crave Asian elevated but have not traveled either outside of the country or to Hollywood where better Thai spots dwell. The food, to someone like me, is simply just standard. I had the coconut shrip, the fried shrimp dumplins, and the Six Street noodles, which are kind of like an egg noodle with vegetables. The fhct that they have Six Street noodles, which is a nod of appreciation more to San Pedro, than to Thailand, speaks to the fact that this place has forgotten its traditional ethnic identity, and has embraced an American twist. The shrimp and the dumplings were fried, and tasted good, but more because they were friend rather than forward-ingredient tasting. Like the coconut shrimp did not give me hard shrimp taste or gentle coconut flavor. Again, it was just fried food. I could have done better at the fair. But really, if you go here for the basics, and are ok with meals that are pleasant go here, just remember you will not be transported to Thailand by taste, but maybe by decore. read more
