If you're looking for some good house fried rice with beef, shrimp and chicken THIS IS THE PLACE! I came here a week ago and was always curious about it! Well i'm happy i gave it a shot because the food is just darn delicious here! That house rice combo is some of the best you definitely get a generous portion of it. I really wanted to get the short ribs but at $15 dollars i felt it was a bit expensive. i just got fried rice but for sure going to try more items. Everything is cooked to order, not sitting under heat lamps like other places which i appreciate. It's just like going to your local chinese family restaurant ordering. They have a solid menu. Give them a try!

The chow mein is a $10 noodle pile with as few vegetables as possible tossed in. I'm sick to death of greed culture.

Fried rice is the best in my opinion and the war wonton soup is dank. The customer is awesome. The lady at the front is always very nice.

Appears to be family-run; well-prepared food; nice mix of clientele; been here many years; parking challenging at times.

Once you step inside, though, it feels like a completely different world. The atmosphere is both casual and classy, with a clean, well-maintained dining room and tasteful decor. Service was quick and efficient. Ordering from the tablet was convenient, and I appreciated that both water and miso soup are self-serve from a machine, which adds a nice touch of cleanliness and convenience. The food was excellent and offered great value for the price. The fish was fresh and cut generously thick, while the rolls were absolutely packed with ingredients. They definitely don't skimp on portions here. Fresh food, generous servings, a pleasant atmosphere, and efficient service--an easy 5 stars!

I've NEVER hit 90 min at any AYCE before until now. I recommend you order everything you may want to eat on Round 1 because it took a very long time to get our food after the first round. I normally only get nigiri but they put so much rice with theirs that I stopped ordering that after the first round. They seem to be understaffed so that may be why everything took so long. If you don't mind a long wait and you enjoy lots of rice in your sushi then give this place a try!

A Hidden Local Gem in San Pedro!…read more If you're craving fresh, flavorful sushi in San Pedro, Sushi 21 is the spot you don't want to miss. This place truly feels like a neighborhood treasure--unassuming from the outside, but once you sit down, you realize you've found something special. The All You Can Eat option is absolutely the way to go. The fish is consistently fresh, the rolls are beautifully made, and the portions are just right so you can try a little bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed. From classic favorites to creative specialty rolls, every bite tastes like it was made with care. The chefs are attentive, friendly, and clearly take pride in their craft. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming--exactly what you'd expect from a long-loved local spot. Whether you're a sushi lover or just dipping your toes into Japanese cuisine, Sushi 21 makes you feel right at home. San Pedro has many great places to eat, but Sushi 21 truly stands out. Fresh food, great service, and an AYCE menu that's worth every penny. A true hidden gem that locals know and love.

Unfortunately, our experience took a very unpleasant turn when we saw a cockroach right next to our table. At that moment, the server was clearing our plates. I calmly pointed it out to her (I'm not someone who likes to make a scene), and instead of reacting appropriately, she simply picked it up with a napkin and continued cleaning the table as if nothing had happened. That was honestly very disturbing and unsanitary. When the check came, I was already uncomfortable but still paid my bill. As I was leaving, I was told I hadn't left a tip. I still left $5, which, given the situation, felt more than generous considering we had just been dining next to a cockroach. What made things worse was that after seeing the tip, the server began speaking angrily in Korean, seemingly assuming I wouldn't understand. I chose not to engage or cause a scene. I simply left and will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.

What a hidden gem if you like kicking it back with old school sushi.....Nothing fancy, no sauces…read moredripped all over the sushi....or sushi baked in the oven. Or a menu with a 100 different choices of speciality rolls. This place is all about going back to the basics with an extremely small menu focused on just a couple of items: Inari, California roll, mackrael, shrimp sushi and more. The sushi is authentic and yummy in the tummy! If you are deciding to stop in for some sushi- Make sure you order in advance as they do sell out. Call the shop to put your order in with pick up time. Note the shop is not open at night- best to call early in the morning before they sell out. The shop is just carry away. There are no places to sit and dine. You will find this shop within an apartment complex on the first floor around a courtyard. If nobody is at the window, ring the bell at your pick up time and a friendly person will attend to you. The ladies are so cute. And the to go boxes are so cute and perfect as well. Once you grab your box, you can enjoy it at home or take it to the park.... You can tell the place is always full of regulars, and there's good reason for that. We just had dinner there as a family a couple nights ago and it was packed and and busy, but the food came out quickly and we were attended to the entire time. We had a decent spread with a handful of rolls (the baja rolls are terrific), some tempura, and a chicken teriyaki bento. Everything was tasty and fresh, and I'd happily order any of it again. And I have to give a special thanks to our server, April. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. She really took care of us the entire night, and even went so far as to hold our one year old when he escaped from our table a couple of times. The fact that our little guy instinctively knew that she was good people and trustworthy enough to jump in her arms summed up how we all felt about the service. We'll definitely be back soon!

Looking around as we were finishing up, every table was filled and people were starting to wait outside (This was on a Wed!) I visited again a week ago, this time for dinner. There was a large crowd of people waiting. Good thing we made reservations! I believe they can make reservations if you have a party of 6 or more. We had 9 in our party. The place was packed, the music and people talking created a more fun and lively environment. And the service with a group our size was still on point. The servers were great with helping what to order, and they occasionally walked by and always asked how were doing and if we needed anything else. I got to meet the owner, Jerry, who was busy making sure everyone in the entire establishment was doing well, and still made time to chat a bit. Definitely 5 STARS!! Will definitely go again, and bring others with me!!
