Great piercing studio!! I've been here twice, once last year to pierce my rook, and then yesterday to pierce my tragus! I was pierced by Stephen both times. Stephen was really awesome, he let me know what he was doing at all times and he really put me at ease. The employees at the front are really great as well and are very efficient! They explain the aftercare really well and thye give you complimentary sea salt to help clean your piercing afterwards. The inside of the studio is really clean and has great AC (felt the need to add that because it was like, 100 degrees yesterday...). They even have couches and magazines to read while you wait! It's also really cool looking around the shop at the different earrings/gauges/jewelry they have. Btw, right now they have a special going on until May 19, it's $10 for ALL piercings!! You do have the pay the jewelry price, but it's still a great deal! When I went yesterday at 1pm, I had to wait a little under an hour so it wasn't too bad. Each piercing I think takes from 10-15 minutes so I guess you can use that to gauge your wait time. read more

I am so happy I came here! I came here 2 years ago to get my nose pierced, had to take it out 6 months later because of a new job, after leaving that job and getting one I can have piercings at, I decided to get it again :) I came in Friday (11/15) around 6pm and chose the stud I wanted. I was given the option of stud or hoop but I've heard the piercing heals faster with a stud so that's what I chose. I filled out the paperwork, gave my ID, and waited on the couch (cute waiting area btw) and waited for the piercer to call us in. Stephen is the one that pierced my nose as well as my friend who got a conch (ear piercing). He answered all my questions about the location of the piercing so I can eventually change it out for a hoop. Stephen did it so fast thankfully! I teared up a tiny bit but on a scale of 1-10 the pain was a 6.5. I got a coupon for my next piece of jewelry and they will even change out my stud for the hoop when I'm ready! I called to make an appointment, and they said it is just walk ins. I came in with my friend and we signed in. No one gave us an estimate of how long to wait for. People that came in after us got seen before us, assuming they had an appointment, even though we were told they don't do appointments. There were 3 workers in the front just playing around and ignoring us. After 45 minutes of waiting we just left. read more

Second time coming here. Clean place. Nice piercers with great experience! Derek offered my friend and I great customer service, and Dylan was a great body piercer for the both of us! We came in to get nose and septum. Dylan explained what and how I would feel afterwards, as well as how to clean my piercing. Observation: When I got my piercing done, the jewel was different from what I had chosen and paid for, so Derek gave me an IOU to come back to exchange my jewelry after it was healed. Front desk girl was very nice to me since the beginning , answered to my questions politely and was very patient with me . I came in to buy nose jewelry because the one I had before fell out . They offered to put in the new jewelry and cleaned it for me . The piercer was really really nice to me , I thought his mustache was super cool ! He took the time to explain to me about skin trauma when it comes to piercings and also offered me to come back in two weeks for a free "check up " on my piercing . After I checked out , the front desk girl explained to me about after care and even gave me a little bag of salt to take care of the lump/reaction my nose had after I got it pierced (done somewhere else ) . I've been getting pierced at Barbella for over 3 years now and everyone has been wonderful, but I had the best experience today! I usually get very anxious when it comes to piercings but the vibe was really great and I felt relaxed. Cat walked me through the whole process, and to my surprise I felt very little pain. She was so sweet and she made sure I was happy with the placement. The lady at the front desk was also very nice; she walked me out when I was finished. I'm a bit shocked to see the negative reviews on here but it seems like many people aren't following the guidelines clearly stated on their website as well as the email. I'd been thinking of getting a second cartilage piercing for a bit, but recently decided on a daith piercing on my left ear. Several friends recommended Barbella, and so my friend and I headed over after lunch on a Sunday around 12:30 pm. There was already a girl in the middle of her session when we walked in, and shortly after we got there, a few other people showed up. The girl at the front was so helpful in explaining which options I had for the earring, what to expect (since it was about 10 years since my helix piercing), and then the aftercare once I was done. The piercing itself took seconds, and there was really not much pain at all (though I feel like getting tattoos has prepared me for pain). Derek was quick, efficient, and super funny so it made the whole process a breeze. He also helped my friend change out her stud after she purchased a new one from the store's wide selection. I understand COVID safety precautions are in place to help prevent a spread and to help allow customers to feel more protected when visiting this establishment but this place is bullshit. They only allow one person in at a time when there is plenty of space to enforce social distancing still. Staff is rude and seem stand offish (they need work on customer service and experience). It's over priced over and over played. They wouldn't let me in with my girlfriend even though we had an appointment, I also possibly may have bought some things of my own but they messed and and now lost business and negatively impacted their image. I was able to get an appointment super quickly (same day/within 15 minutes of looking them up). Staff: I didn't get their name, but they were super helpful! Person with buzzed hair and cute overalls was very knowledgeable about the pieces. Location: The shop was super clean and very organized. I'd absolutely get pierced here when things open up again. I was also super impressed by their safety precautions. Temp check upon arrival, one person per appointment, mandatory masks etc. Jewelry: They have a large selection. The only thing annoying was due to COVID we could not enter at the same time. I paid for two $5 reservations. One for 11am when they opened. Another at 11:30am. We wanted to pick out matching jewelry. Probably would've bought better jewelry if we could've been in together to pick out better. I had gotten my mid helix pierced only a day ago at a different shop and my second night having it i was suffering with irritation and swelling to the point where tylenol wasn't cutting it and i had trouble sleeping. through the night i was scrolling through yelp in hopes to find a shop open the earliest the next morning and i am so glad i found barbella that had amazing reviews. i went and was able to make an appointment on my phone outside through the qr code provided and was seen in less than 5 minutes. I wish I could have liked this place as it was my friend's recommendation but unfortunately, I feel like my navel piercing was botched and has left me with a terrible scar that looks really bad now. I originally got pierced before Covid regulations worsened so when it was time to replace my navel piercing with a smaller one to make the initial hole smaller, the studio was never open to make this correction. I've also tried to reach out to them multiple times with no response. Since I couldn't get my navel piercing reduced, I was forced to take it out as it was much to big and now I have a giant scar. To say that I'm unhappy with it, is an understatement... Now I will probably need to either get it redone or pay hundreds for scar treatment and removal. Do not recommend. read more

As soon as I walked in Megan greeted me with a warm friendly face. She's very knowledgeable of all the jewelry and very professional on the costumer service stand point. A little back story: I've had 45+ piercings over the last 12 years. I've pretty much have had one piercer for majority of my work. So, as you imagine, I was very wary about going to just ANYONE to get more work done. Stephen was amazinggggg. Very helpful and informative. They didn't have the size jewelry that matches my existing dermals so instead of just putting in the smaller pieces he recommended we wait and do it right (even though I was soooo ready to get them done). I appreciated that. He's got a very calm and warm energy. Anyone would love him! But instead of the dermals, I did at least leave with a new ear piercing and new jewelry for my existing nose and septum piercing, while I wait for my ordered jewelry to come in! Stephen von frankenstein is literally the most legit piercer ever. Me and a couple of my friends went here to get pierced and he was so nice and really knew his stuff. At first I thought he was a weirdo with his captain hook handle bar stache and pigtails, but after he explained everything to us I wasn't as sketched out. I got my monroe, which did not hurt at all because he told me the exact time to breathe and the exact type of puncture which really helped brace my nerves. And my friends got their tongue and industrial done. Along with great service, this place is super hygenic (ultra plus) which I love because I am a slight germaphobe. Oh and stephen was not only helpful, but he was honest. My friend tried getting her belly button pierced and instead of swindling her, he told her that he refused to do it because there was a risk of it falling out because there wasn't enough skin so she got her tongue pierced instead. Also, after we got pierced he spent a lot of time going through care, asking questions, and telling us what to do and not do along with giving us the pamphlets. The only thing is, if your not used to blunt people you might get butt hurt, but i think honesty is a really good quality. read more
