This was a very bad idea especially when the Barber isn't wearing a PPE mask. I didn't call in-advance and only a young adult getting a cut when we arrived. No other customers inside. When I and my kid reached the the door "Miguel" (not using PPE mask) hurried to door and asked us to wait outside. Fine, i get it. After 15 min he waived us in. My son sat down then miguel said, it's $25. I was surprised at the cost for a kid. At least he said it before starting. I thought, okay maybe this guy is very good...I'd like to what he does so I said okay. I will not go back, no just for the overpriced haircut which was average. But, No PPE mask and he kept reaching into a soiled container for combs. Maybe I will advise the County! read more

Been coming here for 25 years. He can cut anything you want, long hair, short hair, straight, curly, and wavy too! He's great with fades of all types, and will customize by request! Just bring a picture. I once brought him a pic with an intricate pattern of lines cut into the hair fade, it came out great! Fair prices. Will not regret. read more

Cool dude. Great conversation. A lot of magazines to keep you company. Great haircuts. Business closes at 6pm on weekdays pros: opened on Mondays. Most barber shops/salons close on Sunday and Monday. cons: street parking on busy Valley Blvd. Dangerous to parallel park. Only one barber so if there's a lot of people ahead of you, it could take 45 minutes to wait. Kinda pricey at $15 a pop. He charges old customers the old price of $12. He closes from 2-3pm for lunch on the weekdays. read more

I've been to a few other shops & places in between this time but I keep coming back. Always a great cut. Charge for my cut is $15 (usually $20 including tip). Mr. Medina is awesome! I've been going to him for 15 years. He is an Alhambra legend! He's easy to talk to, has fair prices, and gives great cuts! Someone gave him a bad review because of a price discrepancy. He's had a sign sitting there for YEARS that says "Haircuts $12 And Up" - His prices vary based on what you want! Just ask him how much before you get your cut! I wouldn't go anywhere else, and when he's closed, I will wait! read more

Horrible cut. Everything was messy and uneven. Charged me 20 bucks for the same haircut to the guy before me who was only charged 15.

Dont listen to any other review you read on here about this shop other than the one you are about to read right now. This was arguabley one of the worst cuts Ive ever received and Ive been to ALOT of barbers let me tell you. The guy himself wasnt a bad guy at all and seemed pretty nice, but when it came to cutting my hair that was another story. My hair, line up, and fade came out uneven, one side of my head was longer than the other and his prices made no sense nor were they listed any where in the shop. I asked for a mid skin-fade and he told me "Okay, if you want a skin fade with a 0 its 20$ if you want a fade done with a #1 clipper guard its 40$" excuse me WHAT? .. a skin fade done with a 0 doesnt require anymore skill or effort than done with a #1 clipper guard, Why the 20$ extra dollars? ... So with a clueless, puzzled look on my face, I asked why and his response was "Thats just what I charge". It was apparent that if I tried reasoning with him it was just going to go in circles and he wasnt going to budge. So trying to play it cool, I asked for the 20$ SKIN fade And then he didnt even give me the 20$ SKIN fade, he gave me the #1 fade and then tells me that if I wanted him to edge up my sides and line up it was an extra 5$ PER LINE. PER LINE ? Really? How are you going to charge me to extra to cut what you were supposed to cut in the first place ? So with that being said I paid an extra 5$ for him to do my line up which wasnt a big deal I guess, because some other places do the same, but I left with paying 25$ for extra hair left on the back of my neck and sides leaving the barber shop looking unclean and scruffy, my hair uneven and one of the dirtiest blended fades Ive ever seen/recieved. Apparently hes been in business for a very long time, which I cant see how, on what planet ? I guess if you dont care about a well crafted, clean and detailed cut this is the place to be. The owner is an older guy who seemed pretty nice, but I wont ever be going back there for a haircut. read more

Medina is truly an expert. I had gotten a terrible haircut somewhere else the day before, and with a job interview coming up in a couple days I was terrified that it was all over for me. The moment I sat down in Medina's chair however I felt instantly reassured. He could see clearly every way that the other guy had messed up my head and, to my amazement, fixed it perfectly. I'm waiting to hear back about the job, but I sure owe a lot to Medina if I get it. read more
