I've been here a few times, I've loved every single one, but this one.... Shelly did amazing with my gel x manicure!! I am obsessed!!! My daughter went for the second time, Alyssa did hers and she was so excited to show me the cutest design! Both did so great. They have music playing and it's usually pretty fresh in there. I will definitely go back.
This is a nail salon I tried for the first time after only going to places in Koreatown, and I was very impressed. The pricing was reasonable, and most importantly, the design turned out exactly how I wanted. The nail shape was also done perfectly, just as requested. My natural nails were honestly in very bad condition, but even during the drill work, I didn't feel any pain at all. Everything was done gently and professionally, which made the experience very comfortable. I was extremely satisfied with every part of the service.The designer who did my nails was Mia, and she did an amazing job. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this salon.
Ella is amazing! She is very thorough and pays close attention to detail. I always look forward to coming in, relaxing, and getting pampered. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming. After moving from OC, I searched for a new salon for a long time, and I can honestly say I love it here. Thank you, Ella, for always doing such a superb job!
DID I JUST FIND MY NEW NAIL SALON?! I think soooo. Okay, this place is a little unassuming from the outside. I was a little sketchy but once I opened the door, I felt better. I had just got off work and called earlier to make an appt. I told them I needed a fill for hard gel and that it was my first time. Got there about 10 mins early because I value people's time. I say that because my last nail place didn't understand the concept of that. I'm not bitter anyway, the girl who helped me on the phone was really sweet. I initially asked if Shelly had time because I read reviews that she was great but she was booked. Like I mentioned earlier, I had just got off work and when I walked in, there were no tvs on or music playing and it was sooooo nice. It was relaxing for me and they had little phone stands on each station that customers were using. Yuki helped me and she was so sweet and went straight to it. Asked me if I wanted to go shorter and gave me exactly what I wanted. She was so gentle and honestly, I wanted to fall asleep. Not from work being busy (which is was) but because the quiet and her gentleness. I felt so relaxed. Anyway, she showed me the colors and there were soooo many colors. They had the jelly colors organized and she showed me the other types. I will admit one of my pet peeves is when nail salons don't have their colors organized but they did. They had binders of colors, some of the colors were broken off which was a bummer but I get it. A lot of handling. Anyway, I chose a color and when she swatched it, it was way more opaque. I asked her if she had more of a sheer color and she happily swatched some. I ended up going with the color we first chose. It is pretty and the next time I go, I'll go lighter. I absolutely will come back. Thank you!
I regret not reading the one star reviews first. Had I known, I wouldn't have spent all that time gaslighting myself when she used the drill to remove old polish and to cut the cuticle. So many things in hindsight were off but I kept telling myself to give them a chance. 1. Nothing was done to make things more comfortable. No drinking water was offered, nor was the massage function of the chair turned on. It was 85 degrees F outside today and salon was hotter than the street! If the air conditioner was on, I couldn't feel it. 2. I was instructed to wash my hands in the sink before I sat down, then after that, not once did the nail tech use water to soften cuticles or to wash off nail dust from the drilling. She used a drill to shave down the nail bed, then DRY cut my cuticles. While letting her snip off tiny bits of skin from my fingers, a voice in my head kept saying, "she must know what she's doing", "she has to pass a licensing program right?" That pampering feeling you get when they wipe your hands off with a warm, steamed towel? Non existent at M2. She offered to lotion my hands right before I paid. It seems like a basic part of getting your nails done but I could still feel the nail dust on my hands and declined. 3. I had polish on my toes and asked the nail tech if she had a close match to this color. She brought me 5 or 6 giant color trays and told me to look for the color myself. This is when I found out that M2 upcharges for nail polish. They don't nickel and dime you here, they actually want $5 and $10 bills. The colors from the Chinese styles are an extra $10 and the colors from Korean styles are $5 extra. 4. The nail tech messed up the cuticle on my middle finger and it's uneven now from the drilling. She pretended not to notice and says that my nail is crooked so the polish looks crooked. Never in my life has anyone ever said that my nail is crooked. 5. I don't mind paying more if the service or quality of the product is high. She asked if I would include a tip so I gave her $10 in addition to the $105 cost of the mani pedi (no extra designs). This is probably the most that I've ever paid for the least amount of work and satisfaction. I hate leaving bad reviews but hope that the powers that be will actually look at this as constructive criticism (if they care at all). Over and over again customers have complained about the customer service. M2 may look nice on the surface but it cuts corners on water and electricity and charges you for nail polish, which is free at other salons. I personally won't be coming back.
From my crusty natural nails to a beautiful new set. Ying did wonders to my nails. She was very detailed and made sure to handle my fingers with care. From past experiences, some places are rough and aggressive when it comes to filing or cutting cuticles, but not here. Service is wonderful! And each nail technicians are surely gifted. A small shop on Main Street of Alhambra but very clean and modern. Depending on design and such, I would say prices are reasonable.
Ok wow! Shelly was able to squeeze me in right away. First time here and won't be the last. First time doing cat eye and oval shape and it did not disappoint. You can tell all of the women here are very talented with designs and they want to make sure you leave happy. I'm so glad I stopped by today!
I have found my nail tech! I absolutely love Ying's attention to detail, and she is amazing at what she does! Ying convinced me to try different colors, and now I'm obsessed with purple! Every time I get my nails done, strangers, friends, and coworkers have always complimented my nails. I do not plan on going anywhere else! Here are some pictures of the nails I've had since then!

the nail techs at this salon are incredible. brought some friends here to get our nails done before a festival two weeks ago and they absolutely nailed the designs! (pun intended) today the retention on mine is 100% no chips no lifting i'm STOKED! it was also my birthday so i splurged on my design so i am extra happy that they're still holding strong. i wish i could keep this set forever! thank you!!! highly recommend! read more

The vision I had came out better than expected! I wanted to do cat eye nails with one design being like a glass stained window I love how they look smooth and light they are on my hands. I appreciate the care and time they took to give me what I wanted. Definitely recommend coming here read more

Great experience overall! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The prices were standard. They had great attention to detail! I especially love all their jelly and cat eye options. I left with shining jewels for nails I'm still mesmerized by them. My sister got art painted on hers and the artwork was pristine. Highly recommend! read more
I love coming here for my manicure bc they are one of the few nail salons around here that truly know how to work with cat eye gel. Everyone here is skilled, gentle, efficient and kind! I've been cut to the point of bleeding at many other salons but not once here. I'll be coming here anytime I want my nails done and I think prices are very reasonable! I have so much to say about this nail place. I'm honestly ashamed of myself for being a customer of 3+ years and not leaving a review until now. First and foremost, I have never had a negative experience at M2 Nail Lounge. Even if there was a small issue, everyone there was immediately available to help me and fix it. I have had the following nail techs: Winnie, Alice, and Andie. All of them have done a fantastic job. Each one has a gift at their own craft. I love that their lounge is clean and the color options are endless. Due to the high quality and service they provide, I only have to get my nails done once a month. All my friends and family have been referred here and have had wonderful experiences as well. read more

She truly understands what I want and always helps me choose the best color that suits me. I highly recommend this place. Be sure to make an appointment before you arrive. Do you guys offer gel builder on your real nails?
How much is it for just gel polish only, no manicure? Gel manicure? And how much for design for each finger?
Oh hun I don't know because I got a full set gel x nails which was $65 (no design). Not sure how much just for gel polish, gel manicure or design for each nail. I'm sorry but if you call them they answer the phone right away & are so very sweet.
