Our server was phenomenal! We came in during the dinner rush and she was on top of everything, very patient, very kind with us despite it being our first time in. She even managed everything with a limp! I adored her service. Then the food was perfectly cooked, lamb chops were amazing, and the spinach on top of the mashed potatoes truly added such an amazing touch! The chefs are amazing out there! Met family members here for a birthday celebration. Though Longhorn's doesn't do "reservations", I was informed that I could call before we got there to let them know the number in our party and they would accommodate us - which worked out fine. We were able to walk in and go straight to our table. Our waitress was phenomenal! Very attentive, very pleasant. For our appetizers, we had the spicy chicken bites, stuffed mushrooms, wings, and the wild west shrimp. We had various entrees that included Salman, ribs, and steak along with different sides. The strawberry/pecan salad was very good, as usual, and the warm complimentary bread was on point. Everyone was quite satisfied with their meal, though I had an issue with one of the items with my order. The waitress immediately took care of the problem (my salmon tasted a bit odd and I sent it back). My order was replaced without a problem. Of note, the folks at Longhorn were gracious enough to allow us to bring in a birthday cake that they stored in their refrigerator until the end of our meal. Sat at the bar. Started out good ended bad. Ordered a steak and baked potato and a jack and Coke. Finish the jack and Coke pretty quickly was never offered a refill. ribeye came out well done instead of medium. The bartender never check back on me until she brought the check without a word. Spend plenty of time talking to the regulars who came in after me. But completely ignored me after taking my order. I never tip less than 20% but this time it was less than 10 with a note on the check. They need to step up their game. I came in at 11 was seated and given a menu by the hostess waited 15 minutes finally a waitress came over. I gave her my order. I wanted to 6 ounce sirloin with the mashed potatoes and the salad but I wanted to add broccoli she said no, you'll be adding both the salad and the broccoli I said no and I tried to show her on the menu and she snatched it out of my hand. She said they gave you the wrong menu I responded well I've already waited 15 minutes and that is the menu I chose my lunch from she said no you will have to pay full price for the salad and broccoli. I said no it doesn't matter what that menu says. I was given a menu and I chose my food from that menu. I continued that is not my fault that is your hostess's fault. You guys owe me a free salad and I tried to show her from the menu and she would not let go of it. She was grabbing it and pulling it away from me. only got up and left because I've already waited. 15 minutes and now I was gonna have to look at a whole new menu no and besides the fact, the table was very sticky the windows inside the door were dirty with fingerprints all over them and the floor needed sweeping they were not ready to open very disappointed. Ordered the "Cowboy chops" these were more like skinny cowboy chops. Guess I should have realized this when the menus says "three chops". We use this type of pork chop in fried rice w/ pork back home. Absolutely do not order these. And for $19 good God I got screwed. read more

Food is typically good. Gets really busy fast in the evenings so go before 6 otherwise prepare to wait. I've never had a bad experience. Food has always been as expected. Been going for years now and usually the service is good. On occasion we have had a less than stellar waiter but very infrequently. Its also usually really loud in there. Wow !! What can I say, aside that this dining experience was primo. Greated with smile and seated within a minute of walking in the door. I ordered the bone in ribeye, mashed and a salad with ranch. Croutons were great !! Not soft and soggy like some places bring them. Bread was perfectly warm so when I placed the butter in the "hole" I made it melted very slowly and coated my each and every bite with savory, buttery goodness !! A total sin. My steak came prepared medium rare and perfectly seasoned with southern hospitality. This Longhorn is located in Thomasville Georgia we had it up coming here on a Wednesday night at around 915 in the kitchen closes at 9:30. The staff was very accommodating in and they said that we were just here in time. As far as the location of this Longhorn goes it's pretty much the same as every other longhorn interior was the stuff here was extremely friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu except she did not know what the house vodka was but that doesn't really matter. She was nice and she knew about the menu. For food we started with a beer and a shot of vodka. We did not get any appetizers and we went straight ordering our meal I wanted to get the bacon cheddar melt but the waitress came back and said that they had no more beef tips I thought that was kind of weird but it wasn't a dealbreaker I ended up just getting a cheeseburger. The person I was with got an 8 ounce steak cooked medium rare and he definitely came out medium rare. Yes for my burger medium and he did come out medium the burger do you have a lot of flavor and the fries were very good and hot. By the time we were finished I think that we were the only ones left in the entire Longhorns besides the staff the staff was cleaning when we left and each one of them were very friendly and they said goodbye to us. Overall this Longhorn was a good experience I don't know how many other chain places there are in Thomasville but I would come back to this Longhorn the staff was very friendly and you can definitely give them a try read more

Went there for dinner after a long day of waiting for my mom to get out of surgery. Was seating promptly. They brought my beer and bread, while I waited for my dinner, I went to the bathroom and came back out and they had cleared my table. Once it was brought to their attention I got another beer and more bread, once my meal came I brought a mistake to the attention of my server (Nicole) she didn't even wait for me to stop talking, she turned and walked away, she came back in attempt to make my order correct and she did the same thing she turned and walked away from me while I was talking to her,, the mistakes that happened were no big deal to me, however the attitude from Nicole was completely unacceptable read more

We were in town meeting with my husband's friend, whom he hasn't seen for years. There were 6 of us in total-- four adults and two children two and under. We were quoted a 30 minute wait, which was fine. Everyone that had been waiting cleared out and even groups that had come after us were being seated. We saw groups that came in at the same time leaving before we were even sat. We asked 2-3 times (after 30 minutes had come and gone) how much longer it would be and were told just a few more minutes. Our kids were both extremely grumpy, as we had planned the outing around bedtimes and feeding schedules. In total we waited an hour and a half-- three times the original wait we were quoted. We did not receive an apology for our wait or even an acknowledgement. As soon as we sat, a kid at the table next to us vomited everywhere and we were not even offered to be moved to one of the many empty tables surrounding us so we had to sit next to and smell vomit before we ate. We waited at least 5 minutes before a server came by to take our drink orders, which would have been fine had we not had to wait so long to be seated in the first place. Our friend ordered side items right away for their infant to nibble on since he was extremely hungry and it was past his bedtime. Our drinks and appetizer all came out, and after receiving our side salads a while later, we asked where the baby's food was, as it had been ordered with the drinks and appetizer in the beginning, and it finally was brought out. Again, not even a simple 'sorry'. Our food arrived shortly after-- my daughter's meal was cold which was fine because she would not have had the patience to wait for it to cool after having already waited so long to sit down and receive it. My burger (ordered medium for pink center) was completely raw inside and completely cold. I was able to get a couple small bites out of the sides of the burger but I was so aggravated from the whole experience that I did not want to wait for a replacement and frankly was not even hungry after waiting so long and having to smell vomit. The waitress kept up with our refills, but that is about the only thing deserving of one star. After we finished, we took the kids outside while our husbands waited to pay the bill and again, we had to wait an unnecessarily long time. We did not even bother complaining, as the nonchalance from the staff throughout the entire experience indicated that it would be more aggravation than anything. I left hungry with a cranky toddler and can say without a doubt this was the worst dining experience I've ever had, and I live in a large city where restaurants are on long waits all days of the week. I've worked in theme park restaurants where this type of treatment to guests would have people fired on the spot. I am very understanding of the fact that accidents can happen when it's busy, but in a restaurant full of staff, many of which we saw just standing around, this just boils down to not caring at all. read more

I ordered the ribeye with mushrooms and onions and baked sweet potato with cinnamon sugar and butter. The steak was delicious, mushrooms and onions too. I didn't even use A1 steak sauce. We chose Longhorn recently in a one night trip to Thomasville for some family business. This was the first time I have sat down with people to dine out since Covid lockdown began, and I was very impressed not only with the food but by the way the staff is handling safe practices in social distancing etc. Didn't take long to get our iced teas & the loaf of delicious wheat bread, but then about 25 minutes later they brought us our salads & main course together. (We accepted this as we were just grateful to be dining out since the pandemic began, on a somewhat emotional trip to Thomasville). I had the Buttermilk Fried Shrimp with a loaded baker & a "chopped" salad with blue cheese dressing. The shrimp were large (I had 12 & could hardly finish this feast), but tasted something you'd get at "Popeye's with all of the seasoning on them & deep fried to a hard crunch. The salad was delicious but could have used more dressing, & maybe some tomato. The baked potato needed more butter and "loaded" part but it was a good size and I was hungry. My husband had a ribeye steak & we knew to ask for it without the salty butter on top as we have been to several Longhorn's throughout the years. He said it was delicious. Other people at the table had different things which I'll leave for them to review. The service was excellent. Right now, when you pull into the parking lot, they take your party name # & amount of people right in the parking lot. You wait in your car (we waited about 20 minutes, it was a Friday night) for them to text you when your table is ready. When we got our text, we went inside & were led to our booth and had our first "lockdown" dinner out. (Though the State of Georgia is Open). I forgot to take any photos, but the ones here already are a good representation. Worth it, just ask for extra butter and dressing. This is not 5 star only because of the extra spice on shrimp that's unneeded, and getting our salad & main course together. This was the most disappointing Longhorn experience of my life. And it was my son's birthday, so it was extra disappointing. The food ALL came to the table at the same time. The server was too busy with her big party to care what was going on with us. Then she never even asked if we wanted dessert (which we had been planning on since it was my child's birthday)--she just flopped the ticket down on the table as she walked by. I had the usual, the Prime Rib and it was fantastic. For dessert I had the Chocolate Stampede ($9) and was warned by the waiter that it was "The Biggest" desert on the menu. Wow. Update: I took 5 people out to eat here on Sep 22, 2016 and we all had a great meal. I had the normal 8 oz. Prime Rib and it was at least 12oz. I got lucky on that large cut. My friends had the rib eyes and everyone said it was the best steak they've had. I will agree that this meal rates well above average for Long Horn. I'm really surprised by some of the bad reviews. I will admit that we weren't surprised to see Olive Garden close down (staff was great but food was horrible - even for Olive Garden), but we never had an issue with Red Lobster and when they both closed we needed another go to place for when family visits besides George and Louie's, who we also highly recommend. We gave LongHorn's a try and have never been disappointed, I have a hard time ordering anything else but the Outlaw Ribeye because a really good ribeye is my weakness, but my boyfriend, mom and grandma always order something different and are always happy with what they get. I don't drink often anymore, so I love that they mix their drinks just right... it isn't always easy finding a place that consistently makes drinks how you like them. Their appetizers are always good, my only complaint being that some of them are not as big as I would like... but I think they've worked on that. We always order the spicy/sweet calamari and it seems like you get less lettuce and more calamari now. Again, not really sure where the bad reviews are coming from, we've always had great waitresses that are helpful but not in your face constantly, and the food is consistently great. I actually was pleasantly surprised how good the food is, we have LongHorn Steakhouse locations in Michigan but I didn't try them out until we moved to Georgia. They are often busy, so I would think it's just a case of those that like LongHorn's not coming out to say so...? read more

We were in town as evacuees from hurricane Irma and on our last night went to Longhorn with our 4 yo son. Our server, Lisa H., was so kind and the service and food as excellent. But at the end of the night, as she brought the check, she gently asked where we were coming from in Florida. I answered Stuart, and I told her we were leaving Thomasville tomorrow. I said we had lost our hotel in Birmingham and almost had no place to go but had thankfully found a place in Blue Ridge, in the mountains. Without hesitation or pretenses, she said she was about to offer us to stay with her if we had no place to go. I burst into tears. It was the most genuine and kindest thing I have ever experienced. This is the cleanest and best Longhorn I've ever been to. Went yesterday for lunch and the service and food was outstanding! We got the mushroom appetizer and not only was it plated beautifully they were some of the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had! The steak I ordered (rare) was perfection and the Blackberry tea the server made by request was great! The server went above and beyond so much that we tried to contact the manager to provide additional praise- she was a delight! She anticipated every need/want I had.
