A real gem! We found Barbue because we bring our dogs to pampered pooch. This place is a must do! The ambiance, service and food are out of sight! Do yourselves a favor and go to Barbue you won't regret it!

First time dropping by the Eastdale village, and decided to stop in for dinner. The restaurant is super cute, and it was pretty busy for happy hour. Even so, the staff was very attentive and quick. I had an engine warm up to drink - absolutely delicious - and an oyster po'boy. The sandwich was great, but the bread was so crusty and perfect, OMG. I forgot to grab a picture of my gumbo, but that was tasty, too. The drink menu here is great, excellent cocktails and beer choices. I would love to come back and try more things on the menu. Everything looked great.

Had brunch here recently and I thought is was good. Big clean restaurant with ample seating. Different menus for brunch/weekend and lunch or dinner. Nice selection and tasty food. I had the beef sandwich and it was good. Excellent cocktails too. Service was prompt and friendly. I would go back.

First of all, Lauren was amazing!!! The service was just outstanding. Everything was great. I am in town visiting my parents and we came here. My dad loves New Orleans food and it was perfect. We loved everything. The resturant is so pretty. I can't wait to visit again to be on thier patio. The decor and lighting are beautiful.

Went in for a quick holiday lunch on a friday. Drinks - fat&funny(?), rose, crispy bear cocktail Appetizer - okra fries, gumbo, fried chicken Entree - shrimp po boy and crawfish po boy Great ambiance - nice jazzy music and upscale warm interiors Great service - Nigel, our server, checked in on us multiple times ensuring we were satisfied with food and drinks. I had to add a pump of syrup in my fat&funny. Great flavor - okra fries was surprisingly really good (never had it before), gumbo had a great homie flavor even thought it could use a little more rice. The fried chicken had an amazing flavor with well seasoned batter/skin. The balance between texture and flavor felt elevated. The shrimp po boy was quite good - a solid 8.5. The Crawfish po boy was good too more on the plain side. Overall, it was a great experience. We would definitely bring out of towners here for some quality time.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, exceptional service. We went for lunch. Crab and Avocado on Brioche toast looked and tasted incredible as did the Chicken and Waffles. Highly recommend!

Everything was absolutely delicious. Genuinely authentic New Orleans cuisine (tested and verified, ask them about it) that is bursting with flavor. We got the gumbo, jambalaya, fried clams, and the skirt steak and all of it was absolutely to die for. They have some unique and delicious drink options that are either restaurant-based or New Orleans-inspired. Of course, we wrapped it with the beignets, which were tastier than Cafe Du Monde (if I do say so myself). Lauren was a fantastic server, beyond welcoming and accommodating. Take the time to check out this quiet, classy, and tasty joint.

Came here to dine with a couple of friends while visiting. We thought we made a reservation but they couldn't find our reservation, but luckily there was a table available. They had a live band playing tucked away in the corner and they were really good and talented. We shared two small plates: debris poutine and boudin balls. Enjoyed the debris poutine (crispy and not soggy) more than the boudin balls (has a slight kick to it) but both were delicious. I got an espresso martini which I wasn't a huge fan of (might've been the overkill with the Bailey's whipped cream). For entree, I got the shrimp po boy and gumbo. The sauce for the po boy was tasty but could've came with bigger sized shrimps. The gumbo could've used more seasoning so had to add some crystal hot sauce. Out of all the entrees, the linguine and blue crab and jambalaya were a hit. The beignets were okay, a bit doughy inside but came out hot. Wished the cocktails came out before the small plates but it was a busy night. The staff were very friendly and patient. Would come back to try more cocktails and food.

Overall, the food and drinks were good, and the restaurant itself was clean with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant lunch ended on a very disappointing note. When it came time to pay, our group split the check. Together, we left an 18% tip for our server, which we felt was fair for the service we received. As we were leaving, the server stopped us near the entrance--in front of other guests--and asked if something had been wrong because she didn't understand why we had left such a "poor tip." It was an uncomfortable and embarrassing interaction. We politely explained that the total tip was 18% and even walked through the math with her so she could see how we had calculated it. Instead of simply accepting the explanation, she told us that if we wanted, she could call the manager because they "don't welcome people who don't tip well." At that point, I responded that the comment was extremely rude and that we would not be returning. We haven't been back since. It actually took me quite a while to write this review. On another occasion, I mentioned this experience to the bartender at a nearby bar after she had recommended The Parish to me. She told me the same owner operates both businesses and said she would pass the feedback along. I don't know whether that conversation ever reached the owner, but it encouraged me to finally share my experience publicly. It's unfortunate because the food, drinks, and atmosphere were enjoyable. However, no customer should be confronted at the door or made to feel embarrassed over what was, in fact, an 18% tip. A single interaction can outweigh an otherwise good meal, and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened here.
