Is on the second floor of the building and almost walked right by! Tiny, but cute ambiance. Friendly service. Lots of items clearly marked vegetarian and/ or gluten free. Food was good, but would probably try different things if I went again. Would definitely call ahead if you have a group bigger than 4.

I love the bartender Frank's tequila honey lemon drink! Their grits are delicious. I love the owner Matt! The vibe, lighting, atmosphere at The Parish are lovely. I was going to write dope, but decided to adult. I recommend their Hudson North local gard ciders. 3.5 and will return. After a long day at Minnewaska park, this is the perfect spot we've wished for. The weather cooperates too. The service is bit slow but the food is great: sweet potato cake, crab cake, gator bits and shrimp on grits.

This place wins the weekend trip. We got the last available reservation on NYE. Figured it must be good if it's booked up when other places had wide availability. Small intimate bar with a handful of tables - great for date night. They had a live band throughout the night until midnight. The crowd was fun too. Gonna go backwards for food - ORDER KEY LIME PIE. Ordered specials - grilled snapper with asparagus both drizzled with remoulade over a bed of black rice pilaf. My boyfriend ordered the 10oz strip steak with crisp kale and potatoes. Both so delicious!! And cocktails? Order NINTH WARD. Mostly Bourbon and Gin on the menu, overall. Service was excellent - great staff! Thanks for the perfect NYE!

Made a quick stop on the way home and had the best Cajun cuisine outside of New Orleans. Great beer and wine list. Enjoyed 2 very delicious cocktails but they had me at the creamy delicious macaroni and cheese. Perfect starter in the shrimp and grits. Service was amazing by the very entertaining bartender Frank and I really enjoyed the Patrick Swayze radio vibes. I'd make the 2 hour trip just for this place. A winner all around. Do yourself a favor and go.

Came up to this area to go to a haunted house, after the haunted house we wanted to have a nice dinner and some good drinks. We found the parish, and we're glad that we did. They were closing soon, so we had called while we were 20 mins away and asked them to take our order over the phone and have it ready for us so we didn't make the kitchen staff stay open past their time, and they actually accommodated this for us! That right there is tremendous service. We ordered wings, which were delicious. Very crispy and juicy. We got a side of Mac and cheese and the skirt steak over potatoes cooked medium. The steak was cooked perfectly and super delicious. Our service was tremendous. Great spot right here.

Busy fresh clean Would I go again? No. Why? 18.00 burger was excellent fries over salted appeared to be frozen shoestring half were cold half were hot Did I mention over salted Fried chicken excellent Wings best I have had in years Maybe I would get them to go. Huge plump juicy wings even though the cook shorted us a wing( they corrected it) Frog legs this was the first time I have had them and they were not overcooked 5.00 for a Shirley temple in a restaurant is absolutely ludicrous . Basically the prices and the fries wolf actually keep me away. Not sorry. Waitress was busy and super friendly. Thank you

The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The slaw and sauce on both were amazing, and the crab cake was crispy and tasted great. Then for dessert we got the tres leches. Here's a polished review that stays honest while keeping it fair and balanced:…read more Agave in New Paltz offers a modern, fusion-style take on Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than authentic Mexican food. If you're expecting traditional Mexican flavors, just know this restaurant leans more toward upscale fusion than classic Mexican dishes. The food is good, and everything we've tried has been flavorful, although the portions are on the smaller side. The prices are reasonable for the quality and presentation, and the atmosphere has more of a cozy, date-night vibe than a casual Mexican restaurant. One suggestion I'd make is to expand the salsa selection. For a restaurant centered around Mexican-inspired cuisine, offering a few house-made, original salsas would really elevate the experience and make it feel more authentic. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so it's not the best choice for large groups. Parking can also be a challenge since there's no dedicated lot--it's street parking only, so be prepared to drive around until you find a spot. Overall, Agave is a nice place if you're looking for creative fusion dishes in a relaxed setting. Just go in expecting modern Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than traditional Mexican food, and you'll likely enjoy the experience.

After we parked we saw Sideshow on the way and decided to check out the menu. It sounded very intriguing so we decided to go there instead. My only complaint is that I really wanted one of their specials, the Smoked Turkey Salad Sandwich, but they were sold out. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to the smoked Gouda, but I can't hold the fact that it was really popular against them. Instead I settled on the Golden Goddess Grilled Chicken Wrap and the Jalapeno Corn Chowder as a starter. I think the chowder was missing a little something flavor wise (not sure what), but it had a nice kick to it and I was satisfied with it overall. Loved the cornbread on the side. The sandwich was great and the crispy potato skin fries were hot, fresh and delicious. The rest of my family inhaled the smoked chicken wings with the Jalapeno Mango glaze as a starter. They must have been good as I barely got a taste. For a main course my other half had the Sliced Steak Sandwich and my kids chose the Sideshow Burger (with a side salad) and the Spicy Shrimp Orecchiette (pasta) special. My son wasn't crazy about the special sauce on the burger, but otherwise everyone was happy. Two of us had enough left overs for our lunch the next day. I was really happy with the size of the starters as they were a great addition to the meal, but not overly filling where you couldn't eat your main entree. The inside of the restaurant was smaller than I expected, but it had a pleasant atmosphere. I was happy about the fact that although they had TVs playing the World Cup in the background the TVs didn't overwhelm the space. We did notice the employees had to bring new supplies/food in through the front door to take to the kitchen repeatedly while we were there. They don't appear to have access directly into the kitchen from outside, which is a little odd. A limitation in the design I suppose. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. We ended our meal with a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Strudel. We will definitely be back again.

After dinner we were looking for a decent bar to enjoy a quick drink before heading home. This place surpassed our expectations by a mile. Neon lights, edgy signs and the aroma of incense draw you in. The bar keeper greets you under the disco ball. You take a look around, cool clothes and even better decor. The bar is set up with mint infused water and glasses. I love the attention to detail, and anticipation of customer needs. After talking to the bartender; Thomas about their cocktail options, I settled on a draft IPA, although I had my eye on their Filthy Twisted Martini. Thomas described it as breaking all the trad martini rules and it sounded delicious, but he let me know it did have a bit of spice. I couldn't tolerate anymore spice so I decided to try that one another time. My Wife ordered their botanical lemonade, she loved it, describing it as the best lemonade she ever had. Y'all!! It's delicious, a must try, with the option to have it with or without alcohol. We decided to sit on their rooftop patio, people watching and enjoying the cool summer evening. Bathrooms were super clean. Parking on the street. This place will be on my mind until the next time I'm there. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress
