We love Joe Willys food. They are consistent, quality, and quantity. Their food is fresh and delicious. Sea food lovers you will have a plethora of choices. I'm We wait a whole year for their delicious Soft Shell Crab. They did not disappoint. The crabs were big and meaty. The Francese sauce was finger linking good.

Great spot to include in your local dining rotation if you live or summer in the area. We learned of this gem from one of my fiancé's favorite shows - Restaurant Impossible (shout out to his man crush Tom Bury) - and decided to take a drive up the Hudson Valley from our home in Northern New Jersey. Restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening but that was just fine for those of us looking for a relaxing dinner spot. He, of course, had to check out all of Tom's works of art and the dishes featured on the show. The Shrimp Topped Salmon is a must have. The fried calamari was standard but prepared well. Stuffed clams were too bready (feedback that Robert Irvine also provided). I had the Zuppa di Pesce - while a tad salty for our taste (which says something for the fiance that adds salt to most things he eats) - came in a generous portion of both seafood and linguine and definitely worth a try. Service was great - and there may have been a little fanboying on the fiancé's part as we were leaving the restaurant.

Lobster tails with drawn butter and Potatoe wedges, fried shrimp and French fries.

Not sure of why I haven't been back yet, but Joe Willy's had some of the freshest seafood items. My lobster tails were a nice size and they were not rubbery or chewy. The atmosphere was exciting and the live band was a great bonus. There was not much diversity there but other than that the food was great.

The service and ambiance was nice, so were the prices. Unfortunately the food was mediocre or ok. We started out with the raw sampler of shrimp, oysters and clams, the clams were gritty but otherwise the appetizer was good. We both had the cup of lobster bisque, it was served barely lukewarm and was a bright orange color. The salads were average. My hubby had the zuppa di peche with shrimp and clams, it was ok. My broiled lobster tail was dried out and tough, I didn't bother to try the shrimp, and surprisingly the cod was moist and flavorful. My hubby tried the cannoli, he didn't finish it because it was pasty. The woman's restroom reeked horribly, I could smell the stench three feet from the door, the floors were sticky. We've been here several times, each time it's gotten worse. We won't be back.

Clams shrimp and scallops with an upcharge?
    Taxi G.

Meh Menu is confusing, very confusing. Upcharge for scallops. They don't offer a scallop dinner. The fried shrimp were over cooked and flavorless. The clam strips were tasty but 1/4 of the strips were tiny crumbs. Nothing impressive.

It's been a while since I was here last, at the new location. The food is good and service is fine. I do wish they had a greater variety of seafood and the zuppa di pesce was more traditional - all kinds of seafood with pasta for one price.

More recently, a coworker of mine mentioned she had dined here. Hubs and I had just finished with a gender reveal party in Stony Point and decided to come here then afterwards head up home. Ship L. has a warm, woodsy charm with dark woods, a large bar area to the right as you enter. This place has a spacious dining area on the left with an old-school energy that feels just right for a long-standing rest'nt like this one. Service was great from everyone: friendly, attentive and welcoming all around. That said, awesome service and history can only carry a restaurant but so far. We were told their long-standing chef of 30+ yrs either resigned(?) or didn't want to work here(?) and based on what my coworker told me- that she noticed a difference in the cooking not too long ago when she came here. Sadly, it shows. Our escargots were extremely salty. My husband's pork chop was salty. His vegetables also salty. At that point, I held out hope that my Chilean sea bass might at least redeem the evening. No such luck. Salty again. Even the mushroom risotto- which actually had delicious flavor, was overpowered by too much salt. By then, after one appetizer and two entrées all salty, we figured dessert would at least save the night. Nope. I ordered profiteroles with chocolate gelato instead of vanilla and was truly looking forward to them. Except, the profiteroles were rock hard. The chocolate drizzle tasted like Hershey's syrup, making the dessert taste cheap for a restaurant of this type. My husband, who always goes for sorbet, ordered the mango flavor- but to me it tasted like an unripe mango blended with sugar just to make it palatable.. If you're from the Caribbean or know a true mango taste, you know exactly what I mean. And don't even get me started on the cocktails- they tasted more like juice than actual drinks. At the end of the night, we realized we weren't imagining things. A $245 dinner with weak cocktails, overly salty food and disappointing desserts was no balance for a restaurant with such a long-standing history. For that reason... we out.

What a Disappointment!!! The whole experience was a crying…read moreshame! Not only for us, and the other customers, but for the owners as well. Made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We received an email, that they would be doing a soft opening November 1st. We were really looking forward to a Spanish meal! When we arrived, the place was packed! Usually, a positive sign. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, that received the E-mail. We let the bartender know that we had a reservation, the answer was pretty much; see if you can find a seat. First off - they should change the name from Flores Tapas to Flores - burger and taco shack. Based on the "new" menu. It's very sad - because it's neither "fish nor fowl". Is it Mexican street food or a burger joint? It takes forever for the food to come out of a totally confused kitchen and even though there are numbers on the table, they don't know where to bring it. It's the fault of the "21st century"ordering system they are employing. IT is totally "Fakakta"!! Theoretically, the order goes from your phone to the kitchen, where they process it and prepare your food, then the runner brings it to your table. The reality is disappointingly different. You're better off, sitting at the bar; getting blitzed and watching TV. The fast food gets there sooner! You can do that at home and not have to worry about driving home drunk. Sadly, they spent a small fortune on theme glasses, seat back covers that look like Santa's hat, and specialty merchandise. See photos. I have a feeling, that a lot of the people that were there tonight. Sitting around at the tables, waiting for their food, that took over an hour to arrive won't be back! Especially a lot of the senior citizens or anyone over 30 years old that wondered what was going on? It was suggested; that as a Tapas restaurant they couldn't survive. Wappingers isn't ready for them. However, there are dozens of Mexican taco places within a few miles and burger joints to choose from. Let's hope they fair well.

We made a reservation for two but waited 10 minutes with no one greeting or seating us, so we eventually seated ourselves at the bar. It took another 20 minutes for the overburdened bartender to take our order. The food was underwhelming, and while the cocktails were tasty, they were far too small for the price. That said, the staff--though clearly short-staffed and overwhelmed--were friendly and genuinely doing their best. Unfortunately, the lack of adequate staffing and organization made the experience fall flat.
