Street corn and 2. Tortilla Soup

Not just good - GREAT. The best Mexican food I've had on the east coast. A destination restaurant. Amazing service. We stopped by here on a whim for lunch, after visiting Fishkill Farms, which is just minutes away and WHAT A FIND. Chips and salsa to start, for free - the chips still warm, the salsa was out of this world. The waiter could tell I liked it and brought out three extra servings. What a kind man. Then tortilla soup and street corn, grilled to perfection with seasoned exactly right. Then tacos al carbon (lunch portion has 2 and dinner portion has 3). Steak tips grilled exactly right, with a grilled green tomato salsa on top. I will go so far as to say this is the best taco I've had anywhere or around NYC. Lastly Pollo Mariachi was this incredible lemon and garlic chicken filé served with the perfect yellow rice and beans. Tamarindo and Diet Coke. We sat in the enormous patio at the back, that overlooks the lawn and after that the green woods. The breeze and music, was just ambiance perfection. Compliments to the chef and all staff. Spectacular. Ten outta ten. No flaws. I'll be back FOR SURE and recommend it highly for everyone - this restaurant is world traveling for.

More than 20 years in the Hudson valley and this was the closest thing to remind me of true Mexican cuisine in the area.Great ambience, the atmosphere is friendly and comforting.Decent waiting time and not complaining because the food was phenomenal.Other restaurants in the are Usually don t have the enough supply or the options.im a very picky person and would say well money spent .happy holidays everyone!!

A MUST VISIT family-owned Mexican restaurant right off RT 84. You won't be disappointed! We were traveling and saw the excellent reviews on yelp and so happy we made the stop. What a sweet place with a relaxing ambiance, amazing food and the friendliest staff who greet you with a smile at the door. The Mexican fare is the best I remember having in the eastern states. I can't recall a better tasting salsa served with chips upon seating. We ordered the guacamole made fresh at the table, street corn and shrimp with the most amazingly delicious, savory tomatillo sauce served w rice and refried beans . It tasted like home cooking, only better. Yum! Homemade hot sauce was available, also delicious. The home made drinks -Jamaica and Tamarindo served in large colorful glasses were so delicious! We were impressed with the value for the quality and amount of food served. Manager shared they had been opened for a year and half. Wishing them all the very best success as it will definitely be on our travel list for returning!

Between the delicious food, outstanding service, and breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, it's always a great experience. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The servers know the menu well and are happy to make recommendations, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of our favorite times to visit is for their weekend brunch buffet, which offers a great variety of options. During the week, their Happy Hour (4-7 PM) is another favorite, especially the $1 oysters. It gets busy, so I definitely recommend arriving early. Just keep in mind that Happy Hour is available only in the bar and lounge area. The restaurant is clean, has a spacious parking lot shared with the neighboring restaurant, and offers a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river during the warmer months. The patio closes for the winter, but it's one of the best places to dine when the weather is nice. They also have a kids' menu, although my 6-year-old usually orders from the regular menu because she has a very adventurous palate. If you're looking for great seafood, excellent service, gorgeous waterfront views, and one of the best dining experiences in Newburgh, Blu Pointe is an easy recommendation. It's one of our favorite restaurants, and we always look forward to coming back.

We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!

I will say it can get quite loud in there when full which it was on a Saturday night. We shared a salad to start- it was some sort of winter salad with spinach. For mains he got a steak- the steak itself was well cooked and flavorful. The mashed potatoes normally his favorite side were quite bland. He had me try them and I agreed. I ordered the mushroom ravioli. I went to take my first bite however and found they'd brought out the lobster ravioli instead. After awhile of waiting they brought out the correct meal. They did comp the ravioli which was very nice and aside from the small mix up we had great service throughout. We'll definitely come back but it is pricier than our average meal out. Hoping to try their brunch soon!

Besides from that, I do like the hanging lights, and the staff friendliness. However I would definitely recommend working more on the speed of servers than friendliness, I was waiting for someone to take my order for almost half hour!! The outside of the restaurant is also uninviting, it looks almost abandoned when the lights are dimmed, respectfully: the parking lot is filled with potholes, and there's barely any parking. Recommendation: As a professional business reviewer, I would recommend working on how you make cosmopolitans and start serving more interesting drinks, perhaps create your own drink, get those potholes fixed, expand your parking, and add decorations outside.
