Although I have never been here specifically to eat dinner, I've always been here for a small group events. It is always something that I anticipate because I know no matter what they serve it will be delicious. And this last visit did not disappoint. The capitol grill is a gold standard in high quality service and impeccable food preparation and presentation. The calamari was tender and tasty as an appetizer, as well as the prosciutto wrapped melted cheese and the crab cakes were fresh and light. The wedge salad as an option for first course was delicious with homemade blue cheese. They have several beef steak options, with bone as a filet. All different cuts that you may choose from. The lobster Mac was one of the better ones that I've had. And the service was spot on. You pay for what you get. This is not a cheap place, but if you're looking to impress a small group you can get a private room or at a table in the main dining room. No matter where you are, it will be a bit noisy. They have valet parking that is not automatically complimentary. I believe hosts of meetings get a few parking passes, otherwise it's just $10.

Parking is $10 for valet or $5 in the garage. Make sure to follow the paces ferry elevator exit to PL and walk around the building. Then you walk around the stairs and enter another elevator where you'll ride to the 8th floor. Upon stepping off the elevator we were greeted by one of the hostesses. And she was nice enough and helpful however once seated things went left. My partner and I ordered the $17 the doli martini and the $17 dirty goose while we waited on our friend to arrive. Both were served shaken at our table and were just ok. My partner didn't taste any grey goose which has a very distinct taste normally in it. For the apps we ordered the $20 chips and caviar which is basically French onion dip with a sprinkle of osetra caviar on top and initially we were told it wasn't available then it magically appeared once we stated we might not stick around; the single $26 lobster and crab cake with lemon basil aioli which my partner said was flavorless and not worth the price; and our friend ordered the $21 pan fried calamari with hit cherry peppers which were underwhelming. For our mains we ordered from the $35 Wagyu and wine menu. I opted for the grille's Wagyu cheeseburger cooked medium (it came out well done) paired with the Acolytes by OLG Pinot Noir and honestly it both weren't anything special. Our friend ordered the Orin Swift Advice from John Merlot and the Wagyu mushroom and Swiss burger medium well and it came out pinker than my medium burger. She ultimately ended up sick. Our server whose name I cannot remember was pretty decent as she was attentive and helpful with timing and suggestions.

When I saw the advertisement for the Wagyu and wine event I knew that was my invitation to finally dine at this wonderful establishment. So for starters, the bread basket alone is enough for me to give them five stars. Y'all the pumpernickel bread is delicious and I know it's just bread, but it really was very good. I ordered the Wagyu burger with the blue cheese and truffle, along with the Palermo wine I believe was Cabernet Sauvignon. I also ordered the lobster mac & cheese because I had heard it was divine. Don't judge me y'all i was planning on taking the macaroni and cheese home. Lol My overall review of the burger and the lobster mac & cheese was that both were even better the next day and really the mac & cheese was way better the next day because the sauce had settled. I ate half the burger at the restaurant and the other half the next day at home and oh those flavors were wonderful. I really enjoyed this experience. The service was wonderful. And for the quality of food, it's definitely worth it. I kind of hate it where I ended up sitting at but it's no one's fault because the bar was full and would've been my first choice but oh well the food was wonderful. I was a little confused by the parking situation because I'm not familiar with that neighborhood but next time I'll just do valet. I had a stranger give me the history of the Restaurant and its origin and it helps me to totally understand the decor and design. Make sure you grab a handful of those wonderful candies before you exit

Great experience fueled by a gift card I was lucky to get! I got the new fashioned, and the cocktail was the best "old" fashioned I've had (thanks to the Grand Marnier). Val, my bartender and waitress, was an absolute gem! Can't say anything but good things about the food and environment. I felt right at home in the upscale, yet laidback, lounge (instrumental jazz for the win). The team in the entryway was also very professional (I never got the gals' names). Thanks for a great dining experience!

My husband and I decided to try the Wagyu and Wine experience at The Capital Grille. We sat in a booth in the lounge area and had Jessica as our server. It was a cozy and quiet spot, perfect for a date night. We started with the Caviar and a French Dip with caramelized onions, served with homemade potato chips, plus a glass of Orin Swift Palermo, Cabernet Sauvignon. The French dip was really tasty, though it might have been a little overpowering for the caviar's delicate flavor. The wine was bold but smooth. For our main dishes, we had the Wagyu Cheeseburger and the Wagyu Blue Cheese and Black Truffle Burger, both served with duck fat fries. The blue cheese and truffle burger was our favorite - the flavor was so unique and complemented the burger perfectly. We ordered the burgers medium, but they could have been a bit more juicy, even though they still tasted great. Overall, we had a really good time and enjoyed Jessica as our server.

What an incredible dining experience! I got there a little early. It was around 5pm. It was very relaxing and quiet. The food was delicious as usual, but the service was next level! Bartenders Asia and Val were very friendly and attentive. Manager Sara was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. Overall, I'd say that this was my best visit ever to a Capital Grille! Thank you, ladies, so much for taking such great care of me during my visit! You all really went above and beyond. I will definitely be back!

The service and dining experiences at The Capital Grille are always top tier. It's classic, traditional in a way and never disappoints. From business lunches, date nights and family gatherings, The Capital Grille just works. My most recent visit was for Buckhead Restaurant Week, I'm happy they participated. I love the chicken breast with parm risotto, this is my go to dish when I dine here and having it at a discounted price made it taste even better! My other go to orders are the lobster and crab cake, the calamari, and the the burger. ALL soo good! The service is always exemplary, fast and efficient and you can't go wrong with any entree here, any palette would enjoy.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt at home. We got a table by the window with a beautiful view. Our Server Charise was incredible and well educated on the wine list. We met the Manager Michael who was really great too. Can't wait to visit again soon. This was a short 5 minute walking distance from our Hotel at Kimpton Sylvan. You take an elevator to the top.

Had a really fantastic experience here for lunch today! There were only a few other groups dining as it was a Friday on a holiday weekend. Service was fast and the staff were so attentive and friendly. I had the Capital Grille Cobb w/ Steak Tenderloin cooked medium rare (leaning towards the rare side which was exactly what I wanted). I think this was one of the best salads I've ever had because it was fresh, light but savory with the steak, and also thoroughly chopped and mixed (toppings + dressing) BEFORE being plated so I didn't have to make a mess mixing them in myself. This seems like such a small detail but you can tell they've really thought through these things. Would 100% recommend this dish for lunch! My partner had the Steak Frites lunch plate which also came with French Onion Soup as a starter (swapped for Clam Chowder). It came with some rosemary fries and a tangy/creamy dipping sauce, which were delicious. He mentioned during the meal that this reminded him what good steak tastes like, and it's not even their best cut! I also had the mint lemonade - non alcoholic drinks like this are always pricey at restaurants, but it was so worth it and very refreshing on a 90+ degree day. We will definitely return - 10/10!

Unfortunately, not a place we'd return to. Came here for the first time on a Saturday at 6pm with my husband, and surprisingly, we were the only people in the restaurant until about the time we left. Service: 1 star There was plenty of staff, so it was confusing how things still felt so off. Drinks were wrong (I ordered prosecco and was brought white wine), and overall attentiveness just wasn't there. Another disappointment was at the end - my husband paid while I was in the restroom, and when I checked the receipt, I noticed I'd been charged $3 more for the wine. I calmly pointed it out, not even asking for a refund, just to flag it, and the waitress argued with me about it instead of simply acknowledging the mistake. Not a great way to end the night. Drinks: My prosecco mix-up aside, the drinks were just okay. My husband's gin & tonic was fine, but noticeably better ones can be found nearby. (Like our night cap at Yeppa after) Apps: 2 stars * shishito peppers were soggy and overly fried * Caesar salad was heavily dressed and tasted like something you'd get at a diner Entrees: 4 stars * chicken was excellent - well cooked & flavorful. Slaw on the side was a bit random * trout was slightly salty but still very good and cooked perfectly. Skin perfectly crispy & enjoyed the grilled green onion on top. Unfortunately, the service brought your score down. We had a reservation for dinner and the young lady who initially met us, did not even ask us this. She greeted us with, "we have an event going on, so seating is tight." OK - Well I have reservation. That seemed to help her find us a table. When she sat us, she handed us one menu for my wife and I. No wine list, (at a wine market) and no introduction. After 5-6 minutes, our server came out and said hello, but did not bring water or the wine list still. But, she did inform us again about the event going on. WE know restaurants are busy on weekends and even more so in the holiday season, but the constant reminders of "The event" does two things, one the servers are creating an excuse to say, you are going to receive slow service, and two, it felt like, how dare we show up during an event night. Finally on our servers 2nd visit, we were able to receive a second menu and the wine list. We ordered the 6 piece charcuterie and two glasses of wine. The server who made the charcuterie board, was very pleasant and proud of her creation, and rightfully so, the board was beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed our wine choice and decided to buy a bottle, our server, had zero wine experience. She did not present the bottle to me, (I have the wrong bottles brought out on a few occasions, and this is just a common courtesy) she uncorked the bottle, did not present the cork, she poured from the bottle into glasses that already had wine, granted we ordered the same wine, but at a wine market with a big event, maybe two new glasses should have been brought out, just in case. Then after she poured our glasses, she DROPPED the cork on the floor, picks it up and sticks in our bottle. Do your servers do that with silverware? Then she began to walk away with our bottle, I asked her to please leave the bottle on the table. She was seemed like that was an odd request. Overall, if we could give half stars, I would say 3.5 for the review, it was saved by your charcuterie server, as well as the taste and quality of the meats and cheeses, as well as the wonderful selection of wines. We will be back and hopefully, you take these comments constructively, and have your servers trained up a little more to be assets to your establishment.
