We were invited for a reception after a baptism and this place was great! The cheese and dry meats were spectacular the service staff was amazingly knowledgeable and friendly and the ambiance is perfect for small gatherings or romantic dinners. Despite having a reservation, we waited nearly an hour to be seated for our 7 PM Saturday reservation. It was a birthday celebration and it took 30 minutes for someone to offer to put the cake in the fridge for us. We were standing around cramped in their tiny front walkway as a party of 10 with about 10 other people who were also waiting. They gave us just two comped sangria pitchers when we were seated to apologize for the wait. We tried this place on a Sunday and had a great experience. First, it was half priced wine, by the bottle, which was a huge plus. Any bottle half price. We picked a French Rhône so it could go with any food choice. We started with the two shown and finished with the sear shrimp and the chicken and peppers. Both were good but the chicken was pretty spicy. I loved it but the sauce was a little too spicy for my wife. Suggest that you plate your piece and dip into the sauce. Overall it was great. Our waitress was very kind and super excited about us celebrating our anniversary dinner with them. First off the bread they start you out with is top tier. This is not throw away bread at all! Our garbanzo bean tapa is a must order. Nice and garlicky and very comforting. Our flounder was a bit dry and overcooked but was promising. The patatas bravas took us right back to our trip to Spain 7 years ago. Excellent crisp and the sauces were perfect. Went back for my birthday dinner and was severely disappointed. Had a party of 13 scheduled and reserved weeks ago. When we arrived they told us that they were waiting on the party before us to finish up so that they could seat us. 20 minutes after our reservation time they said they were still waiting. About 10 minutes later they asked us if we could sit outside if they provided blankets and heaters. We asked how much longer would it be for the table we reserved, and they said "we do not know and cannot promise you a table inside". We had already been waiting so long that we just agreed to sit outside in the cold. We sit down and they say "sorry we're actually have no blankets and we are out of propane for the extra heaters". One hour after the scheduled reservation time, the waitress finally came to greet us. It is just extremely upsetting that the reservation was not honored, and then after reading multiple other reviews today, it seems that this is an ongoing problem. read more

It was just my luck that my mother-in-law who rarely eats out announced that I got to pick the restaurant when we were leaving an errand. Knowing she likes paella, I picked Barcelona. We sat outside on a perfect night. It was very busy on a Sunday which is a good sign. It took awhile to get water, but then we got a pitcher of white sangria and the tapas started showing up. We got boquerones with castelvetrano olives, eggplant caponata, beef empanadas, and grilled oysters. We were accidentally served a potato tortilla and enjoyed it on the house. The star of the show was the paella mariscos, which we cleaned up between the four of us. This was my second location to visit, Dallas 1st then Denver. I liked the Denver experience far better and that is not to say the Dallas visit was bad.
