Such a romantic ambiance inside! The server takes the time to walk you through the menu and address any questions you may have. The lamb was delicious.

St. Martin's is an elevated, chic restaurant with amazing ambiance and live music! I really enjoyed the live piano. I ordered the lamb chops for my main, and I enjoyed it! The mashed potatoes that it came with were delish. I didn't care much for the asparagus - it was kind of overwhelming. The dessert I got was divine - chocolate fudge! For drinks, I would recommend the moscato d'asti!

Service and ambiance is incredible- amazing date night spot of girls night. We started with the beet salad which was pretty small and not as flavorful as I had hoped. The champagne Brie soup was amazing! I had the chicken and my friends got steaks, the chicken sauce was not really thick enough and the Swiss in the chicken was bland. I would get the steak and frites if I came back. Amazing cheesecake! Amazing service!

Quaint bistro and piano bar with a clear French influence from the décor and menu to the service attire. We made a very last-minute reservation and were greeted by name when we arrived. Somehow the entire restaurant seemed to know it was my daughter's birthday and her name, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. It was late, so only a few tables were occupied, and we essentially had the piano bar to ourselves. We ate, laughed, took photos, and sang along with the piano, feeling completely comfortable and never rushed. Service was prompt and attentive. Justin gave us plenty of space while still anticipating exactly when to clear plates or bring out the next course. Justin's recommendations were spot on and he took great care of us. Portions were larger than expected for a French bistro, and we even had leftovers. The mussels were fresh in a delicious garlic sauce and paired perfectly with crispy fries. The lobster bisque was smooth with generous chunks of lobster, and the escargot was wonderfully meaty. I had been craving scallops, and this dish absolutely delivered - the sauce was incredible, and I already want more. Can't wait to return!

The server was very pleasant and the ambiance was very romantic, especially for an evening dinner. The food was good, and my personal favorite was the escargot. Unfortunately I was left waiting a long time for my fries I ordered and had to remind the server but it wasn't a bad experience overall.

It's always a good time at St Martin's when you're looking for an elevated cocktail and food experience. It's one of the most beautiful spaces in Dallas. I've posted them many times but needed to share some recent photos from two separate evenings. Photo #1 is a delicious Espresso Martini (nice pour) and photo #2 is a classic Vieux Carre. Both were excellent as usual. The dessert is Profiteroles which is an Italian cream puff. If you want the best service in Dallas, the most beautiful space, and live piano you need to go to St. Martins. Salute @thejohnnycocktail Espresso Martini 2 oz. Vodka 1/2 oz. Coffee Liqueur 1 oz. St Martin's service was delightful. We loved our host and Charlie our server. He had the best recommendations and was on top our dietary restrictions. We ordered: - SHRIMP ST. MARTIN'S: delicious. Highly recommend having the complimentary bread with the sauce. My wife ordered the - SEAFOOD THERMIDOR: this was market price and cost us $105. It was a substantial amount of lobster and the scallops were delectable. We were not a fan of the almond vanilla dessert. Very basic. All-in-all, a delightful experience made even better by our server Charlie.

Tried this restaurant out for fun even though we live outside of 635 still less than a 30 min drive and well worth it. Located on east downtown it's a newly renovated building with exposed brick and dark interiors. Super well decorated. The feeling is cozy but fancy enough to feel like a romantic special night out. The bar is large L shaped with plenty of room. Make reservations but if you get there early likely they will fit you in. The piano is live and 7 days a week. I thought the prices were good value and the food was of the utmost standards. Good portions for French style cooking. Soufflés are a key dessert option. Enjoy.

Came here for anniversary dinner and loved it! The inside is gorgeous and the live music makes for a very romantic dinner. We ordered the escargot, scallops, and ratatouille. Everything looked and tasted delicious. The complimentary bread was also very fresh and warm. The drinks are well done and reasonably priced. Overall an expensive meal but a great splurge!

We celebrated Mother's Day on May 10th. This was our first time here. The restaurant is really beautiful, the service is impecable, nice live piano music, and all the food is delicious. My wife had the seafood thermidor, my son the rack of lamb and me a my daughter had the filet au poivre...All was fantastic. Their cocktails, wines and desserts are great too. Do your self a favor a come try this place out.

When we arrived our table was not ready, but it took less than 10 minutes to get seated! The entire experience was beautiful. Our server was the best and was incredibly warm and funny. I cannot believe I've never been recommended this restaurant by anyone because I'm never going to stop talking about it. Food was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Worth the price 1000%. I love you St. Martin's Bistro

We celebrated our anniversary yesterday by going to one of our favorite places in Dallas. St. Martin's Wine Bistro is a life changing dining experience! Because yesterday was also Anthony Bourdain day, we celebrated by trying a food we had never tried before: Steak Tartare! Oh. My. God. It was luscious and divine. We enjoyed the Shrimp St. Martin-poached shrimp in a delectable beurre-blanc sauce. Of course, we had to share a bowl of my love language: Champagne and Brie Soup. There aren't words for the moment you sip your first taste. Your eyes roll into the back of your head as you savor the explosion of flavor. For entrees, I had the Sole Meunière. Seared perfectly in butter and the only place outside of France that has done this fish justice. James had the Scallops and Pork Belly. It was a new spin on surf and turf. Judging by how little he spoke to me during his meal, I am assuming it was fabulous. He did give me a bite and the scallop was prepared perfectly and was probably the best scallop that I've had in DFW. The restaurant sent us over 2 glasses of house-made bourbon crème for our anniversary. It was similar to Baileys, but on steroids. For dessert, we walked back over to the bar for after dinner drinks. James enjoyed a glass of Abelour Scotch neat. It's his favorite as it's not peaty at all. Jamie, the bartender, made me the best espresso martini that I've ever had! Fresh espresso mixed with espresso liqueur, reposado tequila and bourbon cream. She hit the top with flame to settle the bubbles in order to add espresso beans. Honestly, it was the best meal that I've had outside of France.

My girlfriend and I went here just for a quick app and dessert. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We got a couple of drinks and then an appetizer and dessert. Everything was tasty! The ambience was nice as there was some live music but where we were seated we couldn't see them. Good date night spot!

The decor and overall ambiance are definitely picture-perfect and create a great setting for celebrations, girls' outings, or anyone looking for a cute, photo-worthy experience. Unfortunately, the menu selections were a bit too limited for our preferences. We decided to try a few different items, but the food didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the photos. While everything looked appealing, the flavors were underwhelming. The highlight of the visit was definitely the drinks--they were well-crafted, enjoyable, and probably the main reason I would recommend stopping by. Service was attentive. Overall, if you're looking for a beautiful tea party atmosphere, great photo opportunities, and tasty drinks, this spot may be worth checking out. However, if you're visiting primarily for the food, it may not meet the expectations created by its social media presence. For me, it was a one-time experience, and I likely wouldn't return.

The good: - Not busy - Server Caleb is quite pleasant - Scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were tasty - Yogurt Parfait was tasty but way too big. It was served in a large bowl. Way overkill. The not so great: - My wife's meal took over an hour to come out. Ordered just after 10 am and came out at 11:08 am - The Croque Madam needs to be removed from the menu. A French person would have been horrified at this dish In summary over three meals in the last 30 days, the food is hit and miss and the Kitchen is very slow. I love the location but I'm not sure we'll come back to eat at Toussaint. ---------- We mostly enjoyed our meals here. This review is for two visits that we've made here in the last 30 days. Our first visit here was on May 9, following an afternoon concert up the block at the Majestic Theatre. We popped in here about 5:30 pm and we shared a meal. They were able to do a kitchen split of the French dip meal. It was really tasty. The bartender worked the bar and the entire dining room. Must have been short handed that night but he did great. This weekend (May 29), we ended up staying at the Saint Elm Hotel which occupies the same building. We ended up at the Toussaint for dinner one night. We each had the French Onion Soup and we shared the Braised Short Rib dinner. The French Onion Soup was very good. It's in my top 3 of all time! The Braised Short Rib dinner - kitchen split, came out and presented great. Unfortunately, it was not served hot. It was barely warm. We sent it back for reheating. It came back out about 15 minutes later. The mashed potatoes, mushroom and gravy were warm. The short rib was not. We ate it cool anyway as we had a show to get to and I didn't really want to send it back again. That said, the potatoes, mushrooms and gravy had great flavor. The above all said for this dinner - I'd still come back to try other dinner dishes. Not sure my wife would agree.

Oh man... what a let down this visit was for us…read more My wife and I have come here at least once a year for the past 3 years, and we've always loved this place. The food has always been great and the experience was something we looked forward to. That's why we chose to celebrate an early Valentine's Day here -- to avoid the crazy rush and the preset menu. But this time? Completely different experience. We got seated right away because of our reservation, which was great. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come by -- no big deal. I ordered an Old Fashioned and honestly... the bartender needs some help. It came out full of crushed ice and tasted watered down. I sent it back, and the second one was basically the same drink with more whiskey thrown in. At that point, I just let it go. Then things just kept going downhill. After about 20 minutes, we realized we hadn't gotten any bread. We asked the waiter and he said he'd check. Another 10 minutes go by and he comes back saying, "Still no bread," and drops off the wrong appetizer -- we had only ordered a salad. He takes it back, and it's another 15 minutes before our actual salad shows up. Still no bread. At one point, we could literally see him arguing with someone in the back about why we didn't get bread yet. Not exactly something you want to watch during a date night. The food, when it finally came out, was delicious. No complaints there. But it took forever. By the time we were eating, it was about 45 minutes until closing... and we had gotten there two hours earlier. Then comes the payment situation. The waiter brings the check back and casually tells me I gave him two credit cards and he "just picked the brighter one." I look down and he had handed me someone else's credit card while mine was still sitting in the book. That's not a small mistake. Overall, it just felt unorganized and sloppy this time. I don't know if they're short staffed or just getting too busy for their own good, but it was disappointing, especially for a place we've genuinely enjoyed in the past. Hoping it was just an off night... but it definitely made us think twice about coming back.
