This restaurant has wonderful ambiance going for it! I only stopped by for a quick drink, but I know in the future this will be on my list of restaurants to spend more time at. The service was welcoming and excellent.

My birthday dinner was majestic because of Written by the Seasons! The Bishop location was on my list since opening, but I just never got around to going. I couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the new Uptown location, especially after their Michelin recommendation. Boy oh boy, was I in for a delightful ride! First, the restaurant is beautiful from the time you step out of your car (the valet team was lovely and offered an umbrella due to the light rain). The tree lights danced against the sky and lighted our path through the small courtyard. The team was attentive, accommodating, and all around did service right. The correct amount of friendliness and care had smiles plastered on my face throughout the evening. The menu is seasonal and delicious. The scallops were my favorite. They are easy to get wrong (overcooked or over seasoned), but WBTS balanced the saltiness with fresh greens and creamy squash. The focaccia?! I need someone to bake this for me regularly. I'm not saying it was a part of my breakfast the next day, but I'm not saying it wasn't.... Quality, fresh food for the win!

This is the first restaurant that I have been to, in the past year, that truly restores my excitement and hope about the dallas dining scene. The decor reminds me of the pacific and New England! and the food is just delicious! Service was attentive 10/10! I appreciate the focus on seasonal ingredients because it indicates thought and partnerships with their purveyors. Besides the focaccia, everything I tried was excellent! I was so stuffed in the end that I didn't get to desserts. Truly tragic because obviously I need to go back again !

I've been a few times to the original Written by The Seasons in Bishop Arts and always loved the food and concept. And happy for their Michelin Recommendation. So this time I wanted to give the 2nd location in the Quad a try. And loved it, too. Actually even more than the original location: same excellent seasonal food and creative drinks, same excellent service, same vibe, better patio, better parking options (valet and validated garage self parking), less craziness (we Gen X' are getting into the years). Menu had enough choices to satisfy the picky as well as the adventurous eater, has many shareable options, generous portion sizes, and lots of dessert options, including seasonal fruit. Definitely going back!

Enticing are their seasonal menus. Romantic contemporary setting. Lovely patio. When weather permits, I'd choose to sit outside, for loud is the music in their dining room. Amazing attentive lunch service had on each of my visits at this Uptown location. Fresh but uninspiring are their salads; yet, back many times over I've been for their seasonal Focaccia; creative Sandwiches; and, mouthwatering Desserts, including their present Kimchi Tuna Melt and Butterscotch Panna Cotta, respectively! CHEERS!

If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would. This is officially my new favorite restaurant, and it all starts with the stunning atmosphere. Seriously, the interior design is flawless. That rust stone countertop with white veining is going to be the centerpiece of my next house--it's that gorgeous. The service was just as impressive. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She was genuinely attentive, checking on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. But let's talk about the bar. The bartender's personal mission in life must be to make the best drinks, because they were spectacular. I started with the spicy ranch water, which had the perfect, invigorating balance of tartness to spice. Next up, I requested a martini "dirtier than the Trinity River," and the result was nothing short of perfection. For the food, I tried the burger, the crispy potatoes were pillowy on the inside with crunch on the outside. But the true star of the entire show was the butternut squash focaccia. Truly 10/10. It had me googling recipes pretending like this is something I could make. I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for an aesthetic lunch or for a night out. I'm already looking forward to returning this winter to check out the menu change!

I am so thrilled WBTS opened in uptown. This is very much one of those places, if you know, you know. The food is such a great quality, the people are friendly and they did an amazing job with the design. This location feels like the older sibling to the Bishop Arts location, the bar centering the room, the red marble throughout, the low lighting it's so romantic and vibey. Definitely a local spot to stop by for happy hour or a great option for a nice date! The food is all amazing, it does change so I'd trust the team to point you in the right direction!

Such a great concept of a restaurant. Love the seasonal menu, the seating outside is also great when the weather permits and they comp the valet. Our food was so fresh, you can tell they thought out each ingredient in the dish. Will definitely come back for the spring menu.

Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 Food 9/10 We had somebody checking in on us every 5 to 7 minutes. For some people, this might be true, intrusive, but my group didn't mind it. Ambience is absolutely magnificent! Romantic and upscale vibes make it great for date night, family, dinners, and work events! Most of the dishes I got were 10/10. I wasn't a fan of the wild mushrooms dish and I thought the burrata with grilled asparagus lacked a little bit of flavor and creativity. But the dishes are presented beautifully and there is something for everybody. I am a vegetarian and was thoroughly impressed at the vegetarian options on this curated menu. We went on a Friday night. Completely empty at 5pm and packed by 6:30-7pm. Must make an online reservation if you're planning on dining at a popular hour

This was a long awaited visit to Written by the Seasons at the Quad! The service was just how I like it...a lot of attention to detail. For dinner, I enjoyed the Dayboat Scallops. The savory scallops with the sweet potato puree and roasted squash was a sweet and savory combo that I literally seek for my special meals. The guava cheesecake traveled well as a to-go item. Welcome to the neighborhood WbtS! Cheers!

The concept of small and large plates made a family-style meal amongst us perfect. We secured a reservation on a busy Saturday, but did need to book 2 weeks in advance. The atmosphere is so sultry and warm. Each dish was a mind-blowing creation of pure deliciousness and color. What truly made our time there incredible was our server Rory. He really made our experience top notch! We cannot recommend Rory enough if you get the privilege of having him.

If you're looking for an intimate setting yet a setting where you can have a group of friends to enjoy a seasonal menu of delectable food try written. Sam, our waiter was amazing. The owner, Hailey moved throughout the room assisting where needed and made our visit even more enjoyable. I will be back for sure!

Wow! First time trying this place, and I'm looking forward to going lot more especially with the seasons and changing their menu that meets quality and fresh food! Very cool and unique experience! Everything tasted delicious, the vibe was great, but service was good I just prefer a server have more knowledge of the place especially with new restaurant. Even if when there is Australian dish on the menu, and she didn't know why they had it? Little odd... Nice experience all together! Cant wait come back.

Food was solid, especially the starters and small plates. The noise level is the reason I won't return for dinner. Way too loud.

Because it was my first time, they gave me a free chocolate to try, which was a wonderful surprise. Unfortunately, they didn't have one of the flavors I wanted to try, but I had the rosemary chocolate caramel and it was great! I ended up buying a cute milk-:and dark- chocolate bar, and two more caramel bonbons to take home. The prices aren't cheap but for great chocolate made in-house, it's worth it.
