If you're looking for an Italian spot in Brickell that delivers on both the atmosphere and the food, Serafina is absolutely worth the reservation. I dined solo and never once felt out of place. My waiter, Samet, was personable, attentive, and made the experience feel welcoming from start to finish. The entire staff was friendly and professional, and the music created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. I had a patio facing table overlooking the palm trees and floral décor, which made for a beautiful setting. I started with the homemade meatballs, which were tender and flavorful with creamy ricotta and a bright tomato sauce. The Lychee Martini was delicious and surprisingly strong. For my entrée, I ordered Drake's Lobster Ravioli, and they actually delivered it wearing the famous sequined Drake glove, which was a fun surprise. The presentation was memorable, but the food was the real star. The ravioli had a generous amount of lobster, and the creamy tomato sauce was rich without being too heavy. The fresh Parmesan grated tableside was the perfect finishing touch. Best Bite: Drake's Lobster Ravioli. The generous lobster filling and creamy sauce absolutely lived up to the hype. Pro Tip: Ask for a patio facing table, order the Lychee Martini, and don't skip the lobster ravioli. Serafina is an Italian restaurant chain based in New York, with I believe 3 locations in South Florida. We came here as we wanted have dinner and watch a Heat game, and since Earl's in this same plaza wasn't able to show it but Serafina had that game on multiple screens, this place got our business. We chose to have a seat at the bar, each had a cocktail which were well-made, and ordered the burrata cheese with bread to share as an appetizer. For our main courses I had the chicken milanese, my husband the chicken parmesan, and we ordered a bottle of albarino wine to share. Everything we had was very good and the service was attentive, though one of the bartender/servers kept standing in front of us and oddly staring at us for several seconds at a clip as we ate, which was a bit off-putting. This restaurant only had a few customers throughout our time here and was never very busy, but a couple of them at the bar appeared to be regulars - which can sometimes be a good indication if a place has earned a loyal following. Prices here are higher than they deserve to be IMO. Serafina doesn't really look or feel like a "special occasion" restaurant by any means, yet the prices charged indicate otherwise. That may be due to the location and their rent costs in this area of downtown? Cafe Prima Pasta for example, which is nearly always packed with a line waiting to get in, has the same entree I had here at Serafina for about $10 less. I would've rated this place a 4 or 5 but we went for happy hour at the bar and got calamari ($12), pizza ($12), and 3 old fashions ($10 each). When the bill arrived, it was $78. I asked if the 20% service fee was included and was told no, so in total we ended up paying $98. My husband paid the bill so when he told me the total, I knew immediately we were overcharged. After going to a performance this last Saturday at the Arsht Center, my friend and I ended up here for a late dinner. We sat outside on the patio and service was superb! Even though we arrived close to closing time, we were able to get our different pics from the menu and our server even brought me birthday gelato complete with the candle. I'm a red sauce kind of guy so I ordered their penne arrabiatta with add-on meatballs. The noodles had a great texture and the "gravy" was definitely spicy. I loved it! I nursed a rum old-fashioned, which was well blended and smooth. It was even garnished with a maraschino cherry. As far as my other friends's dishes, one of them ordered a salad, which, though I didn't try, looked generously portioned and well presented. I have been a fan of Serafina since I first ate at one in NYC. I was in Downtown Miami with a work friend. She never ate at any Serafina before. I also enjoy the one in Aventura but this was my first time eating at this new location. We ordered some beers which were good. We also ordered a Caesar salad to split. I was surprised when we received a very small salad. But it turns out they only charged $10 when it said $18 on the menu. A small salad isn't even listed. So we ordered another one. It was delicious. We shared the chicken parmigiana. It is excellent. The cheese tastes so good. The sauce on the spaghetti is absolutely delicious. I asked our server if they sell.it by the jar but I don't think she knew what I meant. Anyway, the chicken parmigiana is enough to share as you can see in the picture. I popped in for lunch since I'd been promising myself I'd do so each time I walk by. I wanted to take advantage of the $35 lunch special that I see advertised. We decided to just sit at the bar. Once in, we loved the ambiance but my sis and I were neither moved by the lunch menu offerings and opted for the main menu. I had the filet pappardelle that did not disappoint and the Serafina Star for my cocktail. Also really good. The bartender Crystal was very pleasant and helpful as well. Misleading advertising re: Ladies Night I usually never post bad reviews, but I am very disappointed in Serafina's advertising of their Ladies Night promotion. Both the Serafina and Miami Worldcenter websites offer special Ladies Night deals with no caveats. And both websites encourage you to reserve a table. So I did just that, looking forward to a fun night out with a group of girlfriends. But once we were seated, we were told the Ladies Night promotion was only available at the bar, which had no available seating. So we decided to leave. The restaurant should have made that bar-area-only limitation clear before we made our reservation. I tried to see if I could privately email management about this but there was no email address available on the website, it only takes you to Open Table. That's why I'm leaving a one star review. I should have read my review from the first time I was here They definitely are very consistent at this Serafina location. Food was great, service was terrible.. even more so then last time. To the point where mid our appetizers we wanted to get up and leave. Even my niece said, she doesn't seem to want to serve us ‍ and of course having been a party of 11, her tip was already secured. Since we were there to celebrate my hubbies bday, we just ordered something fast to be able to pick up and go. The manager was very nice and polite, but again... these managers need to sit down with their staff and properly train them. Nice high end Italian restaurant. They had a classy bar setup and some decent specials. It was very full, barely one seat open. The bar tender that took care of us was a little rough around the edges. Wasn't really hearing our order correctly, and forgot to bring out a drink. For a high end spot, would have expected a different level of training or screening; however, she also wasn't rude. Maybe just an off night, which is human. The truffle fries were really nice! We dined in the evening during a RNB event that created great vibes. The aesthetics and the seating were pleasing to the eye. Our server name was Tammy but she wasn't very attentive to our table but we asked another guy for assistance whenever she wasn't around. Since it was ladies night on Thursday, complimentary truffle fries and mini martinis were offered. One of the other servers gave the truffle fries to us and when our server Tammy came back she informed us the martinis were not complimentary the Ladies night promotion is applied only at the bar. This was after the drinks had already been served to us. She told us she'll apply a discount to correct it. This Italian restaurant/bar is located across the street from Kaseya Center and is definitely worth trying, especially around Happy Hour, which should be going on right before the evening Heat game. The Happy Hour menu has standouts like the meatballs, Margarita pizza, and Mussels for $12. You can also pick off their extensive menu. The outdoor seating area is large and comfy. We went here before the Florence and the Machine concert to grab some drinks, and the location couldn't be better for that. It's super convenient if you're heading to a show at the Kaseya Center. The place is very nice, and has a great vibe. We sat at the bar during happy hour, and they have a pretty solid menu with good deals. We ended up trying a bit of everything, and overall the food was really good, and the drinks were well made too. One thing that was a bit confusing was the pricing for the cocktails. There were three of us, and honestly none of us really understood the explanation the bartender gave about how the happy hour pricing worked. We also never got a printed check to review, so we're still not exactly sure what we were charged for each drink. Service is in the  area could definitely improve. The place was very busy, and it felt like there weren't enough people behind the bar. Because of that, the staff didn't really have time to engage much--no suggestions, no check-ins, and even basic things like water, napkins, and silverware had to be requested multiple times. You could tell they were just overwhelmed, not inattentive on purpose. Overall, we still had a good time and enjoyed the experience. This review  is just for drinks and food on the bar area, but we'd definitely come back to try a proper dinner and see the place at a slower pace. read more

The food was great, the company I was with were great and regulars here since they live in Ft Lauderdale, and the service was very good if just a bit rushed. Came here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was moderately busy. I'm not even sure they've had their grand opening yet but maybe more of a soft open. All the waiters were attentive and management came around multiple times to ensure food was great, which it was. We split a Caesar salad to start which was great. The included croutons were tasty. Our main dishes, the chicken Milanese and the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese were both fantastic. The Chicken was huge and def shareable. We had our choice of in or outside seating. Despite normally choosing inside, we chose to sit outside to people-watch. There were big fans above which made it a pleasant evening but there were some flies we had to shoo away which got annoying. Such a nice setting and location. The restaurant is beautiful inside. We had a table of 14 and the restaurant provided a great space for us to enjoy together. Eggplant rollitini was good along with the calamari for appetizers. The truffle fettuccine with shrimp is good. The chicken parm is a very large serving. It was during art basel, and maybe it was really full that night with events around the area and just busy overall, so I don't know if that's usual service conditions, so I won't judge too much based on that, except recommend maybe to skip this spot during art basel. Even though the service was subpar that day, I went back for their new special and had a great experience! I went for ladies night on thursday and was treated to free delicious truffle fries and $4 upcharge mini martinis. It's a late night happy hour from 7-9 I believe and is such a cool ambiance to spend a thursday night with friends! Sat at the bar which was full by the end of the night but service was on top of it. I've ordered the Farfalle al Limoncello at almost all of the locations and this one was the best, hands down. 10/10.
