The owner initially agreed to return the security deposit in full (minus last month's electricity bill) but has not done so a month after our move-out. After our multiple requests for the deposit, the owner started to verbally harass my partner with misogynistic comments and outright refused to return the deposit. We are preparing to take legal actions. I would not recommend renting unit 51F. The building by itself is decent, e.g., friendly and helpful staff, close proximity to major subway lines. However, there are loud street noises from fire trucks, ambulances, policy vehicles in the morning and sometimes during the night.

The agent had initially contacted us after we submitted an inquiry post on MiMA website. The agent's name was either Tony Kong or Tommy Kang (don't recall and internet searches are confusing my memory) but I have his number which was 646-724-6850. When my friend reached the apartment building, the doorman denied any knowledge of an apartment showing and was super rude & unhelpful even though my friend tried showing him the proof of contact with this agent. My friend honestly felt profiled and humiliated. We tried contacting Tony/Tommy right away but he never picked up our calls or replied after. I would advise people to not trust the building agents/staff especially if they are going out of their way to visit this building. This whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have always ignored any MiMA rental posting whenever I looked for a new apartment.

This building needs new management…read more That includes new maintenance management as well. It is really sad as this building has so much potential. My main issues are that the building just takes and takes and doesn't give. From the time I moved in, the apt that I had looked at and was told I would move into was different and dirty when I moved in. It was not given to me in move in condition. The floors were raised and not even nailed in properly. The apartment was covered in dirt and only part of the apartment was painted. The marble in the bathroom was stained yellow and disgusting. I tried to refuse move in but this was the only option. I had to argue back in fourth with Vebbi about getting new floors and he did not give me new floors. What he did do and told me is "they switched the flooring they used and my apt is not eligible for new floors so he had to find leftover wood from old apts to Put in my apartment. I don't even know how that's hygienic. It's disgusting to be honest. Now I just signed another lease for more money because it was too much trouble to move and I asked for new floors because there was a water leak and looked like there was like there. He did the same thing, just gave me old damaged wood. There are no window screens which makes it super dirty and bugs get in during spring and summer. There are major issues with the AC and washer and dryer. The pet amenity, one of the reasons I stayed was not hygienic either. I sent my dog there in December when all of these other dogs got sick and spent thousands of dollars that month on vet bills because my dog got giardia fr other dogs peeing in water fountain. They finally fixed the water fountain. I know I am not the only one as I talk to all of the dog parents and have made friends in the building. They all complain about maintenance manager. I want to be clear that Nelson and Chris are wonderful. Everyone complains about the same things, washer dryer, floors, no window screens, dirty building, piles of trash in trash room and amenities not working.

The "gym" comes with an additional fee to use, but is nothing more than a small bleak room off the lobby with a limited array of aging (and often broken) equipment. After all that, beware, they may spike your rent claiming to be on par with the other luxury offerings on the same street. The only caveat is that the building staff are very nice. Too bad the management doesn't take a page from their book.

I've lived in multiple cities and in multiple apartment buildings in the past couple years and…read morenothing compares to how bad my experience was at 95 Wall St For starters, one of the doorman allowed someone to try to break into my apartment unit back in August 2025. I was abruptly woken up by a phone call from the lobby at 2AM which I initially ignored since I was sleeping and was not expecting visitors at 2AM (who is??). A couple minutes later, I heard my keypad being frantically messed with by a man I did not recognize outside who was trying to get in. I was extremely scared and luckily, he gave up after numerous attempts. 95 Wall St prides itself as a doorman building so if a 2AM phone call from the lobby to my unit went ignored, this man should have never been able to come up. Afterwards, I filed a report to the police and they came in for investigation. I also tried to follow up with management the following morning but they were extremely dismissive of my case and even said the problem was "my fault" since I did not speak to them in the "correct tone of voice". My bad for being upset that someone had tried to break into my unit and I was up all night panicked, I guess. I also tried swapping units or breaking my lease early as I didn't feel safe in my space but they threatened to charge me twice my rent and refused to let me move or break my lease otherwise I also lived near neighbors who would smoke and fight non-stop. The smoking led to me being unable to breathe in my own unit. The fighting would start around 7AM, where I had to hear a couple screaming and throwing things all day long. This led to it being nearly impossible to get any sleep in my own home. And what did management do when I complained? If you guessed "nothing", you would be correct! Elevators also never work properly so expect to wait 10-15 minutes just to get upstairs I had in-unit washer and dryer but the quality was so bad that the machines often destroyed my clothes. Else, they didn't work at all so there wasn't much point of having "in-unit" Hot water would also shut off abruptly without notice. I'm pretty sure this is an NYC building code violation but alas, nothing was done about this issue either despite complaints (what's new) On the topic of water, sometimes the water from my sinks would come out brown. It's a through lane. Something to keep in mind. It's on the same block as the subway and the crosstown buses. There are fancy restaurants and also delightful and affordable food options around here. There are good grocery stores a little more of a walk away. It's close to parks, green spaces, coffee shops, a library, a book store, and pretty much anything for wholesome living. I see bugs once in a while but if I check them immediately, I don't see them again for a while. I think the staff makes or breaks the whole experience. Jeff, Juan, Francisco, Reuben are always around. And a few other great maintenance folks I remember by face but need to jog my memory for their names. I have never lost a package. They fix problems promptly. They caution us about the weather. They notify if there is disruption of service. They communicate polity and well. They ensure it's a comfortable living experience. The commute to around the area is great. It's 20 minutes walking distance to the MET as well. The sound doesn't carry through the walls much. I recommend it for long term living.

Several apartments have huge LEAKS coming through the ceilings, and they just don't fix them. It is an old buliding that needs repair, and the repairs just don't get done.
