Melissa said brown or light brown whatever shade your eyebrows are or whatever you want, but when I got there and I laid down on the table, she said only thing she does is black. I said well OK . I then asked if my eyelashes are long enough for this ?she said "yes they are ". One hour later....once She gave me the mirror . absolutely nothing changed. Only thing different was she got black dye on my waterline on my top lid but none on the other lid my eyelashes did not curl. They didn't look any different. I mean, the did didn't even set in .. Maybe my eyelashes were oily ...She should've washed them out and I don't know but they did not make me pay for them so they're pretty good about that even the receptionist must have seen that it didn't take. The girl that was doing my eyelashes was not very friendly either.

Two months after expiration date and after some debate salon agreed to honor 1/2 of certificate. Needless to say after finding out I was not a happy camper. I paid for a cash certificate and given my daughter's pregnancy the year of the certificate, I thought they would put customer first. Not the type of salon I would recommend. Needless to say I will no longer be purchasing gift certificates from this business. i suppose they smiled all the way to the bank.

I had a gel manicure and a massage done by the same person, which probably tells you something. The gel manicure looks awful - I can paint my own nails with more skill. Some nails are lumpy and uneven and on others the polish doesn't even come all the way to the tip of the nail. I didn't notice it until I got out into the sunlight or I'd have asked for them to be redone, but I don't really want to go back. The massage itself was just OK, but there was no discussion of what would be used (typically a scented oil of your choice, in my experience) and the massage therapist employed some kind of lotion that smelled cheaply and VERY strongly of fruit. Very cloying and the opposite of pampering or relaxing. I ended up going home and showering to get it off ASAP. The spa itself is rather odd. It is clearly a converted office building. The massage rooms are separated by yellow cubicle walls and there are fluorescent lights on the ceiling (not in use, thankfully.) No one else was there during my visit, but I can't imagine relaxing if one of the other stalls had been in use. It is nicely decorated, but it was obviously done on a tight budget. The reception area looks and feels like a doctor's office with slightly better furniture, and this is where you sit to wait for your appointment. No fluffy robes or cucumber water here! To be fair, it seems like the right intentions are there and the staff I encountered were friendly. If there were other reviews on Yelp, I probably wouldn't post one as it is not my intention to bash them. But as a consumer I want a better experience for my money, so I cannot recommend it to others.

I went in with the criteria "I want it to be a brownish red", not knowing anything about coloring, that dark hair is harder to dye, or which colors go well with which skin tones, etc. But Stacy helped me through the whole process. She told me what to expect, showed me a whole bunch of color swatches that matched my incredibly vague description, explained how certain colors fade and might look funny against my skin tone 6 months down the road...in short, she was amazing. We settled on a subtle allover brown that I was very happy with. So happy, in fact, that when I decided I wanted highlights, I went back to her. I've never had a hair salon experience as good as this, where the stylist really listens to what I want and adds her expertise to create a look that I love. I basically trust her enough to go in and say "do whatever you think will look good". In addition to doing a great job with my hair, their prices are very reasonable. Last time I went for a color touch up, highlights, and a trim, and it was $110. Appointments can be made online at their website, where you select the date, service, and stylist you want. And they even send you a nice reminder email to let you know your appointment is coming up! I live in Elmwood Village and this place is in Depew, but it is 100% worth the drive! Although I've only gone to Stacy, the other clients here all seem really happy when they leave, and the business seems to have a pretty steady clientele. All in all, I highly recommend Elle Salon, and if you want to get your hair colored, Stacy is your girl!

Update: I did get a text back Michelle this morning to schedule services, she didn't want to respond to my texts late at night (understandable). It seemed like a one off hectic day for her, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She has wonderful feedback otherwise. I would come back to her for services because she is very meticulous with her work and I'd rather support small business than the big chains anyways. She was kind and did try to keep my mind off of the work. Her salon is located in Sola Salons, #14. I just walked around till I found her room, wasn't too hard.

Erica was very professional, nice, and comfortable to be around. I had a bikini wax for $25 which is very reasonable in my experience. Erica was quick and did a great job. The wax used was of good quality and there was very very little pain with it. I will definitely be returning for more services by Erica. She also does facials (signature 45min for $45, etc), eye lashes, and make up (regular and air brush). Also for every 7 services the 8th is free.

Saw a sign for $5 spray tans and asked about it since I've never had a spray tan so was apprehensive... ended up trying it because why not for $5... turned out great! They have a Versaspa that's completely automated. Took 5 minutes and you walk out dry without feeling sticky. I only got the level 1 and will probably go up next time but am definitely happy with it and still have good color 5 days later. I showered 8 hrs after the spray and lost a little color which was to be expected. Will be returning frequently for the spray tan!!
