I had Cool Sculpting done with Patricia Gravenites and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Let me first say I do not regret one penny I spent on the treatment. Finally getting rid of fat that for YEARS no matter what I did would not go away was SO worth it. It gave me back myself confidence and I finally feel good in my clothes. PLUS I saw real results in the first two weeks and at one month a big difference. Patricia is so dedicated to her patients results, she gave me 110% to make sure the results I was looking for were realized. After only one treatment too! 11/7/25 visit: The front office staff at the Prosper location is horrible, specifically Nadine and Serena. My mother is an existing patient and has never had an issue with insurance coverage as she has both Medicare and TriCare as a military spouse. When McGuinnes's system was showing incorrect information of my mother's military benefits coverage, Nadine and Serena were unwilling to look into the issue. I even called TriCare immediately myself and they confirmed that my mother is active and the benefits had not changed. When I went back into the office to explain that, Nadine was unwilling to look into it and just said "well this is what I show in the system." I even offered to get TriCare back on the phone to speak to her but she didn't want to help at all, so we were unable to be seen. Not to mention, they wanted to charge a 20% coinsurance on Medicare which was not ok since my mother has secondary coverage through TriCare. Illegal. I then called McGuinnes billing department immediately and Cara was able to verify in less than a minute that my mother was active. I also spoke to Rachel, the front desk manager who was very kind and understanding, and she apologized which I appreciated. But I will be filing a formal complaint. My mother is a military veteran spouse and how she was treated was unacceptable. Nadine, you owe my mother an apology for embarrassing her and not willing to help so she can be seen for her appointment. My entire family goes to this practice, but we will be reconsidering after this ordeal. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! They do NOT care if you need to be seen or not. I showed up 30 minutes before my apt and was told i had a balance and could not be seen until that is paid before plus having a charge from today's visit. to back track... i work at a dr office as a medical assistant so i know a little more than just a regular patient. i informed the check in lady that i texted my mom but she is at work and i might not a response and she said back "okay and while you wait i'll see what i can do on my side" so sat down and waited for 10ish minutes and then asked the rude check in lady if u could just pay with a card on file, (the card i paid with last time but apparently still had a balance from) and she said no and actually we can't see you today if this is not paid. which again.. at my job we don't turn anyone way no matter what the reasoning... i have been a patient of mcguiness for forever like since they only owned one clinic. the front office lady handed me a statement and it said new patient apt which is more expensive than an existing pt apt. i can go on and on about what happened but moral of the story is they just want your money and don't care about you as a person!! read more

I'm currently undergoing laser hair removal for the Brazilian/Bikini area. I've had 3 sessions so far; I purchased a package of 6 sessions per the recommendation of my laser lady, Patricia. I was super skeptical at first, I have very coarse dark hair and I didn't think one treatment would do anything. To my amazement barely any hair grew back after that one session. I'm super excited to see what my end results will be. Anything is better than it was, I can still feel stubble in some areas but hopefully with the next 3 sessions we can knock that out. read more

Although the staff has always been friendly, I am highly disappointed with my laser hair removal experience. I purchased a package of 6 sessions for $1,500 for my legs. Due to appointment cancelations, I ended up getting 8 sessions. I understand that everyone's hair and skin are different. However, I am fair skinned with dark hair. After just 2 months since my last treatment, all of the hair on my legs are growing back in full force. I consulted other offices and was told that this was not normal. I am unsure if it has to do with the machine they use or the person operating the machine. All in all I am highly disappointed with my results. I feel like I was cheated out of $1,500. I called and left a message for the office manager but haven't received a return call yet. Please consider going some where else for your laser hair removal. read more

Do not trust this office. I had an appointment with Elizabeth Carter in September. I presented with an extremely itchy rash that just suddenly appeared. I mentioned this happened to my husband at the same time. She asked a few questions and determined it was Eczema. She didn't even look at the rash. She prescribed steroid cream and sent me on my way. 4 months later the rash is still driving both my husband and I insane. So, my husband made an appointment with his dermatologist this week. Turns out his dr did a proper assessment and did a skin scraping. Turns out it's scabies. Had I been properly assessed I could have gotten rid of this months ago. Do not go here as you are just rushed through and not properly cared for. read more

Very happy with my second visit to McGuiness! First visit was for hubby, he had a cyst on his back that they took care of and he's squeamish! The PA was super gentle and nice and he was happy. Second visit was for me and same results. Very thorough in answering all my questions and telling me what my charges would be upfront. No pain on the in-office procedure and still hours later feeling fine. I will definitely be going back for a yearly skin check as they recommended. I went to Mcguiness dermatology in prosper and Patricia was my injector for TMJ dysport. As you can see my smile is completely crooked now because she put the Botox way too low. So now I have to wait for the Botox to wear off, so fun that I can't even smile normal. Don't just go to anyone for Botox even if it's a "nice" place. I went to see this doctor with a list of issues. The doctor was only interested in checking my moles. I called for help with a rash. I was told I needed to schedule another appointment for my rash - even though this is what I originally came in for. I called when the rash got worse and the nurse never got back with me. When I finally talked with the nurse, she told me that I would need an excision at $800 and she knew nothing about my rash. I had the second appt for the rash and when I got there they had changed that appt to be for the mole excision. I STILL have the rash!!!! I would not recommend this practice at all and will be looking for another doctor. read more

I went to Dr. Rubianes to see my options for reducing redness for a scar on my face from a dog attack resulting in plastic surgery in 2005. I was prescribed Hydroquinone (4%) Cream (skin bleaching cream) and told to use it every night for 3 months for best results and then to come back for a follow up appointment. I was skeptical because they said Texas had a ban on this medication, so it had to be mailed to my home. Unfortunately, I did not make it to even 3 days of using this cream until I was in excruciating burning pain, of course I immediately stop using the cream. My scar reopened, started bleeding bad and skin on and around scar was peeling. I called the office and I told them it was an emergency to be seen ASAP. I was told "if this is a medical emergency, then hang up and call 911" of course this left me unsettled as I just wanted the doctor to see my injury and help me before worse scaring happens on my face. I am disappointed, as I feel true customer service is shown when something did not go as planned. Thankfully, Dr. John Stevens in Dallas took me in on his day off to make sure I would not damage my face further and can begin heeling correctly. Went in to get my son's molluscum contagiosum treated. Dr. Rubianes did not perform a thorough evaluation, did not remove any articles of clothing, and did not investigate if my son had spots outside of the ones I pointed out. Physician treated 3 spots, we walked out of the clinic and I called my son's mom to summarize the appointment. Mom asked about the spot on our son's back, which was not treated. Returned to front desk and asked for the spot that the physician missed to be treated as well. We were told that to treat the additional spot, which may have taken 30 seconds of the physician's time, we would need to wait up to 2 hours. Even then they might not be able to treat the additional spot and offered no guarantees. I've never been to a dermatologist that did not inspect/examine the patient themselves. Dr. Rubianes saw me every two months for a year. Each time she changed the prescriptions with NO results. She kept telling me we have to wait 2-3 months to see if the medication was working, and each time there was no progress. Just more money to see the Dr. with no results. My final appointment was at an odd time, 20 after the hour. I was under the impression that it was at 30 after the hour as a typical Dr. would normally book. I showed up in the parking lot at 33 after the hour (13 minutes after the appointment started). I waited in line another 3 minutes to be checked in. When I got to the front the line the woman at the desk refused to let me see the Dr. because I was over 15 minutes late. When I explained regardless of the appointment time, I was in the front door within the allotted time, I was told it did not matter. I live 30+ minutes from the office. When I explained this there was no empathy. In fact, I got more empathy from a kind woman in the waiting room who offered to give me her appointment to which the front desk woman said no. She went back to ask the Dr. if she would still see me (I am not 100% sure she even asked the Dr. because her behavior was odd), but in the end told me there was nothing they could do. This isn't 100% about the missed appointment, more the lack of empathy or respect shown from the woman up front. Even the other woman in the front felt badly about my treatment. I have been seeing Patricia for 3 years now and have experienced her expertise (she has been doing this for 30 years!) with treatments for IPL, Chemical Peels, Skin Pen, and Botox. The results have been amazing. I don't have to wear heavy makeup anymore and just use a tinted sunscreen. Had biopsy on sore on face in November. Pathology said benign. Never got well 2nd biopsy July 2018. pathology said basal cell carcinoma. Had it removed 8/27/18. 2" wide 1/2"" deep. Went to plastic surgeon to get skin graft from neck. Surgeon said it would have been there 4-5 years. I want copies of both pathology reports. Have called office 6 times and get answer service. I haven't been to this place but made an appointment 3 weeks ago on line, chose a Provider selected a date that their website said was available, and scheduled my appointment. Then I requested time off from work and literally 2 hours before my appointment I received a text message stating that my appointment is now scheduled for the following week at a completely different time. When I called the office I was told oh those appointments are just "suggestions" but not guaranteed. (In hindsight I should have kept my new appointment and canceled last minute and wasted their time). The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Whoever monitors their website appointments is a clown. Absolutely so inconsiderate and disrespectful to treat a patient like that, who does that? I guarantee if I made an appointment and did a no show I would receive an invoice for wasting their time. Now these a$$hat's have wasted my valuable PTO. Now I have to reschedule another appointment with a different doctor, requesting more time off from work for an obligatory consultation and then schedule my procedure. This was perhaps the worst experience ever. We went here for the convenience to our home. You will never see a dermatologist, just a PA, which doesn't bother me if they are competent. It may be OK for a quick rash but if you have a chronic condition that will need multidisciplinary management, it was a nightmare.
