Francisca is hands down the best waxer on planet earth. I have known Francisca for almost five years and she is beyond phenomenal. Every single time I need to come for a Brazilian, she always finds time for me and squeezes me in. She texts me back very quickly. She has the best memory too--she always remembers everything I share with her and is extremely kind. Her waxing skills are perfection: she is a true esthetician. I have had some nightmare horror stories going to nail salons back rooms to get a Brazilian and have bled, I mean...terrible experiences. But with Francisca I couldn't believe how professional she was. First of all, her work area is very hygenic. She uses new products with every client and always uses the best wax. She does this for a living so it isn't like other waxing places where they do one brazilian for every 20 eyebrow/lip waxes. Brazilians are her specialty so because she does them back to back to back she is the best in the business. She gets me in and out in 20-25 mins max and is always so pleasant. It barely hurts because after waxing for a while the hair becomes so fine--I barely feel it anymore. She and I catch up while she works extremely quickly and she makes me laugh and makes you feel very comfortable. She finishes up, the end result being perfect every time. I really appreciate her professionalism and kind nature. I have lived all over the world and in Boston, Miami, LA--no one waxes as well as Francisca. Came in last week to get my wax done. Let me just say that it was very nice of Francesca to honor my Living Social that was expired. She was very professional, quick and to the point--which I liked. Bare Glow was extremely clean, and comfortable. A small space, but that is quite alright with me as long as the place is clean. After I got the Brazilian I noticed a couple of things: 1. Two days later, I did break out in bumps (still have those now). Now, this could have been a number of things causing it, however, this is NOT my first time getting this wax, and it didn't happen with my last wax. I also exfoliated afterwards, and I do take great care of my skin ...so I am not sure why I broke out in these bumps after having this wax. 2. I did notice she missed some spot...some areas still had hair that shouldn't have had hair. 3. she is quick and to the point, although I wonder if the process wasn't so rushed would it have been a little less painful, and also would I be completely bare all over. I can't complain much because I only paid 22 bucks through living social, and she accommodated my voucher (which was really sweet of her to do), and she was very professional. I've been getting my waxes (Brazilian, full arms, upper lip) by Francesca for years now and am always totally satisfied. She's quick, and it doesn't hurt much. Every so often I'll get a wax by someone else while traveling and can really say her service is so much better! It always hurts less than with others and it grows back more slowly (meaning she doesn't rip the hair off but really removes it at the root). I will never let another woman touch me like Frencesca does. SHE IS GREAT. She only uses hard wax which I LOVE because it doesn't irritate my skin, never double dips (which should be a given but I've heard of esthetitians who do! yuck), made me feel SO comfortable that I forgot I was laying there with my legs wide open. She conversed with me the WHOLE time, telling me tips and advices on skin care; she even told me about where she came from and how she grew up like we were just talking over coffee, which I can definitely see myself doing with her after a few more appointments. So far I've received service from her twice, and I will never, as said above, let another woman touch me like she does. I'm staying faithful; she makes it so easy to tip her generously with no hesitation or regrets whatsoever. PS. she is so sensitive and considerate about her customers' needs; she said that she would never charge a client more money because they have more hair (which a lot of esthetitians do) because she would never want to make someone feel self-conscious or insecure about their body. Francesca is the only person that does all services available on the website. It's a little confusing when you walk into Salon Moka because her services are all done inside that salon. The first time I came to see her was for a Brazilian. It was one of the best experience ever! She does not rush you and is easy to talk to but also keeps it professional at all levels. She plays relaxing music while services are done and it almost makes me fall asleep! The salon from the front door to the inside of her room is very well maintained. She does not double dip either- YAY! :) Although this never happened to me, Francesca doesn't make you get down on all fours- I could only imagine how terrifying that could be! She uses hard wax and surprisingly, I didn't feel a thing- all pain free! Well, for me at least.. I'm sure people that cannot tolerate pain would think it's painful but honestly, if you go to her, you will feel a lot less pain. My vag has never looked so good! After being tired of the constant shaving, I grew a pair and decided to try waxing. Francesca was my first and only. I was very nervous and voiced my concern and she was very understanding, explained everything, recommended pain relievers and tips. Francisca is very very (x10) good in what she does. Seriously. She puts you at easy and you feel actually comfortable in that awkward and embarrassing position. Pricey as every brazilian wax is, but the job is so well done that you'll only be back after probably 6 weeks. This place was recommended to me a few weeks back and I decided to try it out before my vacation. The wax used is hot and becomes its open stip for them to rip from. Francesca was very nice and make conversation to distract from the normal pain that goes along with waxing. It was not crowed and there was street parking when I get there. When the waxing is over, you must pay Francesca. I didn't do the entire brazilian and paid $55 + tip. Overall, a little pricey and not my favorite. read more

Ive been coming back to her for about over a year. Francisca is so sweet, she remembers her clients and is easy to talk to while getting waxed so its never uncomfortable. She also always tries to find time for you whenever you want to come in which is awesome. She really takes care of her clients. The spa itself is located within Salon Moka. Its street parking so give yourself extra time to find a spot. Prices are about the same anywhere else about $55 for a brazillian, but you can always double check online. Ok so I've been seeing Francisca for about 2 years now for waxing & I swear I've been meaning to write this review because I know how heavily we as consumers use Yelp. Anyway - Francisca is soooooo good! I had seen countless others & she is by far the best. Always very accomodating, I can usually get an appt same day. She is gentle & truly specializes in skin care so seeing her on the regular will definitely have your flower (as I like to call it) nice, right, & smooth. Prior to seeing her I would always get ingrowns, after her? Hardly ever. She gave me some cleanser from the Collins line she uses & it works great. I finally switched my allegiance. I left my current aesthetician based on reviews I read here on Yelp about Francesa at Bare Glow/Salon Moka. I called for an appointment last night and was able to get in today. She answered immediately, set the appointment quickly, super easy. When I arrived today Francesa greeted me at the door. She was uber friendly, explained her procedures, asked if I had any questions, and we got right to it. She led me into the treatment room, dimmed the lights, put on soft music and got me settled in. The treatment was thorough, she is a total professional and she chatted and shared her "story" with me throughout the visit. She is sweet, funny and very attentive. I will definitely go back! My treatment was about $15 more than my prior aesthetician, however she gives 20% discounts on all future services and every 5 services get one free -- so it evens out in the end. Francisca is probably the best waxer I've ever had in Chicago...and I've had quite a few waxers. I'm already at a disadvantage when it comes to waxing because I have fair, sensitive skin and red hair (which = thick and unruly). The wax itself was as painless as a wax can be, and I love that she uses hard wax, which makes the process SO much better. I mentioned that I'm prone to ingrowns so after the wax she used this awesome magnetic/static wand on the bikini area to basically vaporize any bacteria that might be lurking around that could cause an ingrown. Also, by the time I got home, all the redness from the job was gone which is absolutely unheard of on my skin! I highly highly highly recommend Francisca, even if getting over to Division is a hassle for you. Trust me, she's worth it! read more

I love Francesca! She is the sweeting person you will meet. I go to her for my brazilians. She does a great job remembering what you tell her. We usually talk throughout the whole procedure, because well, lets be honest.. getting your pubic hair pulled out is kinda uncomfortable and it distracts me from the little pain there is. She is very quick, which I really like. Getting a brazilian is kinda painful, but I can tolerate pain pretty well, so it's not such a big deal for me. But she also tries to make it as painless as possible. Making appointments are really easy. I usually schedule my appointments right after with her. But when I need to reschedule, it's really easy to do it online. Francesca has a great loyalty program for her regulars. Every 6th visit is free and you get 20% off each service, so your brazilian comes out to $45 instead of $55. I really like that. You just have to get every 4-6 weeks. read more
