I've been coming to Milan for a bit over a year, every visit has been professional, friendly and helpful. The clinic is clean and bright. I'm seeing great results so far and I'm very happy about that, worth the money for sure. I've gone to several laser hair removal places in Chicago and this one is by far my favorite. It feels like I'm actually going to a doctors appointment. There's no tipping culture here which means they must be paying their nurse practitioners an actual living wage and not passing that on to the customers. I pay a monthly fee which is set when I first signed up. I would highly recommend this location in particular. I went to another location once and the service there was a bit cold. read more

I've found that appointments made for after-work hours or Saturdays often get canceled. If you are considering signing a contract with a company that requires appointments and you are unable to be available by 5:10 PM during the work week, I would strongly advise exploring other options. I'm four treatments in and really happy with my decision to go with Milan Bucktown! I initially chose them because the location is convenient with easy parking, and they had strong reviews. From what I understand, they're priced higher largely because of the lifetime guarantee, you can come back anytime if new growth appears, which gave me peace of mind. Now that I've had a few sessions, I'm especially glad I don't have to stress about a fixed number of treatments. The laser strength increases over time, and after my fourth session I experienced a pretty intense histamine reaction. We decided to switch to a different laser that's gentler on my skin, even if it means potentially needing more treatments. I really appreciate having that flexibility. The staff has been SO wonderful, kind, attentive, fun and genuinely caring throughout the process. I feel in great hands. I will say, the initial consult can feel a bit sales-driven since you're reviewing package options on the spot, and that part can be intimidating. I'd recommend going in well-informed about what areas you want treated and what you're comfortable committing to. They run promotions frequently, so there's usually flexibility to add areas later if you decide to. Overall, I've loved my experience so far! read more

Unfortunately, not the same experience I received from the Orland and Hyde Park Locations but I'd go back if an appointment was needed. Typically during appointments I'm asked about my hair loss percentage, when visiting this location I wasn't asked and just told I was near graduation. That prompted me to ask if the hair loss should be 100% as I don't feel like my hair loss is there yet. There were a few other similar things like that which just didn't seem as thorough. My first 2 consultations were cancelled by them. The first time it was due to a staffing issue the second they cancelled by text with no reason 1 hour before my appointment, ugh. In the text it asked me if I was interested in other locations? What the heck. Not even a real person called me to reschedule. I finally called them and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I was able to get a quote. Just for laser hair removal on my face with their 50% discount was going to be $4,600 or $50-55 per area per session, which would add up to be a lot for small areas. Wow I was shocked. They tried to call me 2 months later to schedule a consultation. A little late I would say. Not interested anymore. I'm going to New Image Works. Their package is 6 sessions for $600, much more affordable. Glad their communication was terrible, worked out for me. Go somewhere else. read more

I've now had a consultation and my first (complimentary) appointment, and it went very well, so I signed up for the bikini service package. Full transparency, it is a bit of a breath intake when you're discussing the cost BUT how much have you spent over the years with non-permanent hair removal services (e.g., waxing)? I don't know about you, but I've easily spent double of what my service with Milan will be. I should have done this years ago. It would have saved me all the money I wasted on waxing at EWC Lincoln Square (who has terrible corporate policy, see my review on that business). Milan's lifetime guarantee is also a strong point in their favor, as well as the ability to go to any of their facilities in the country. You're not locked down to a specific location. Everyone I've spoken with from Milan has been very courteous and taken the time to answer all my questions and calm my nerves. I was definitely nervous about what kind of pain I might experience. It's no worse than waxing, not exactly the same feeling, but not any worse. I was shocked how fast my first appointment was - 20 minutes if that. CeCe was great. (And thank you, CeCe, for excusing my first timer flub of not realizing I should have shaved prior. That was a quick trip to the bathroom to take care of that, lol. So everyone else: SHAVE THE DAY BEFORE.) If I experience any major changes in future appointments, I'll update my review. I'm looking forward to their Andersonville location opening soon. It'll be a quick walk for me to go to that one. read more

I had a consultation and appt this week! The consultation was led by the delightful Geniya and it was nothing short of amazing! I know who gets excited about laser hair treatment? Me. After suffering from ingrown and underarm cysts due to shaving, I figured enough was enough. Luckily, I found Milan! Geniya was able to quickly answer my questions via text and set me up for an appointment. I walked in not knowing what to expect but a bunch of zaps and let me just tell you, I feel like I've known Geniya and CeCe for years! They too have gotten laser hair treatment at Milan and their skin looked fabulous! Anyway, Geniya was able to come up with a package just for me! I also learned a little bit about the companies history and how they're located in 30 states and counting and how I could visit any of these locations should I move. I was almost ready to sign when I had one question! Will this work on my skin tone? As a person of color, I often hear bad things about lasers and dark skin. The short answer is yes. It is safe. They use a special laser which blasts puffs of cool air and is safe for all skin tones. Geniya showed me before and after pictures of people of all different races and skin tones, with all of this information I made the choice to go forward with a package. I was then shown the bathroom where I could shave or tinkle if needed. (Can I just say this place is clean!! Like spotless! It felt like a doctors office) Anyway, I then met the wonderful CeCe who is a nurse and part time model / comedian. Okay idk if that last part is true but she hooked me up and kept me laughing so it honestly didn't feel that bad! Since this was my first time the laser was on the lowest setting but even then it didn't feel too bad! All in all, I'm a customer 4 life. Geniya is traveling so I'm sad I won't see her in the Chicago office again, she is a gem! My girl CeCe can expect to see me every 5 weeks till my hair has been completely zapped away. (Why do we have hair in places we can't reach anyway?) I promise I'm almost done LOL! I wish they did facials! Okay, now I'm done. And scene. read more

The people at Milan take SUCH good care of me when I am there for my treatments and it always brightens my day to see the staff here. The treatments are amazing, and even though the laser hurts a little bit, Cece is always gentle with me and the results are INCREDIBLE! I did full legs and feet and after only 3 treatments I have about 80% reduction in hair. I have very light skin with dark hair follicles so I got lucky in that respect. I am so happy with the service and the results, I highly recommend Milan!!! read more
