After having a really bad experience at a different chain-wax place, I was a little traumatized and looked for the best place to to get a Brazilian. I did my research and found this place and since then I have never gone back. Katia is my long time esthetician but since her baby came last year I also have been seeing Megan. They are both AMAZING. It is as relatively painless as possible and the most important thing is they TAKE THEIR TIME if they need to instead of being expected to do all waxes in 20 min or less. I get a mix of hard and soft wax depending on what they think I need. They are both wonderful and I couldn't tell you who I love more. Both are great at talking and distracting me from the process and I'm as comfortable as possible. I also end up smoother than I ever did anywhere else. I will never go back to the cheap easy waxes, the higher price and 30 min drive are definitely worth it for me to not get hurt. Brittany was wonderful! I came in with messy, oddly-shaped eyebrows, and she fixed them right up! I have very sensitive skin, so I don't normally get my brows waxed, but the product they use didn't make my forehead bright red for a whole day like waxing usually does! Katia is amazing believe the reviews. I had numerous questions before my first visit and the staff was very patient and understanding through all my phone calls. Katia made my first visit so easy and comfortable it was hard to imagine that I had been so worried about getting waxed ie: (The 40 Year Old Virgin). This place is awesome, everything about it is perfect. Let's start from the beginning. I find the online scheduling service to be simple, easy to use, and clear. I also really like that they text you to confirm your appointment rather than call since no one picks up unknown numbers any more. The place is easy to find, with a big sign and there is a large parking lot with ample spaces. The waiting room is always clean and welcoming. I've gotten a wax here and a few spray tans and I've always gone with Emma. The wax was as pleasant as a waxing experience can be. Again, the rooms are very clean and the table for the waxing was comfortable. Emma has always done an awesome job with all of my spray tans. She is super nice and always makes me feel comfortable. I'm very fair skinned and Emma was great at guiding me to a natural-looking color for my first tan. I also think it's nice that they keep a record of previous spray tans and can reference back to how dark you like it. For the spray tan, they provide shower caps, coconut oil and wipes like most places, but they also have disposable underwear and little covers for the bottoms of your feet. The price is right too! I only wish that they also offered mani/pedis so it could be a one stop shop for all your beauty needs. I would definitely recommend this place, and Emma! read more

I love this place!! At first I was nervous because I have never been waxed before. However, Katia was amazing. She was very professional and told me some tricks to help the experience be less painful. She is awesome and just talks to you while she is waxing, which helps me relax. I have been coming back ever since and it's been wonderful! I am getting everything waxed now and I'm never going back to shaving. My hair grows back nicely and I'm smoother for so much longer. As a side note they only use organic stuff here and for me that was very important! I have troubled acne prone skin so she customized what my skin needed and went over what I'm currently using in my skin care routine and gave me suggestions on what to add/take out. I planned on getting a Glycolic peel but Payton recommended all sorts of options and walked me through them all..the details, areas of concern and price (which is really nice bc with most spas it's kinda like a surprise of what ur gone have to pay)...the treatment was amazing! I've been going to Bare Necessities Spa for my bikini wax for at least 5 years because I love love love RACHEL. She's the best esthetician in this area (get it...ok funny joke over). My hair doesn't grow that quickly so I only go see her around every 3 months. I also have super sensitive skin and she and I have found the perfect combo of wax and other products that is the least painful for the products and don't irritate my skin. The 30 minute appt flies by because she's able to put me at ease by distracting me by talking to me about things in life (she's got an incredible memory). She's wonderful! I highly recommend going to visit Bare Necessities because I love supporting small local businesses, the location in Montrose is conveniently looking with great parking, place is very clean, and the staff there, especially Rachel, are so easy and pleasant to work with. This place is amazing! I went here for my first time to get a full bikini wax about 6 months ago and was absolutely terrified. As soon as I walked in they could tell by my sweaty palms and my red face that I was very nervous for what was about to happen so they offered me a glass of wine, which I of course said hell yes! Katia was the one who waxed me and she was and has been great! She made me laugh even though I really wanted to cry throughout the whole process. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I couldn't have asked for a better person! And the best part was it didn't last half as long as I thought it would, she was very quick! Thank god. There's nobody standing in the room while you undress and Katia was personable, professional and precise. Exactly what I wanted. I chose Bare Necessities BECAUSE of its amazing ratings on Yelp, and I am SO glad that I did! One thing that I liked was that all of the estheticians were positively mentioned in the reviews, which tells me that you can see anyone there and have an amazing experience. I myself have to brag on my new friend Rachel, who gave me the best wax I have had in a DECADE. I used to get sugared way out in Memorial and stopped because it was ruining my skin and the experience was like being in Cirque de Soleil. I'd have to twist into a pretzel for the woman to reach everything. Rachel just had me "butterfly" my legs and that did the job! The pain was MINIMAL, less than sugaring (for me). I also really like the products that Rachel used. I'm not all dry and sore. I'm nice and moisturized and feeling super pretty! They also give a discount if you come in every four weeks so I've already made my appointment to get pretty again! You will not be disappointed by this really lovely and relaxing spa. I really can't say enough great things about this place! Katia was EXCEPTIONAL! She was warm, friendly, and made me feel at very VERY comfortable...because let's be honest, a brazillian wax doesn't exactly put you in the most complementing position. I'm a scardy cat and have a very low pain tolerance and I was actually amazed when she said she was finished. No yelping or screaming ouch! I have gotten more than four bikini waxes from Katia now and every time is an excellent experience - she is professional and efficient, but also very nice and personable and warm. The waxing was very clean and sanitary, no double dipping and they apply a special natural ointment after the wax to calm the skin. I went here to get a Brazilian and this was the best Brazilian I have ever gotten! A HUGE step up from European wax center! They greet you with beer or wine and when it's time to do the deed Megan was great at making me feel comfortable! They use soft wax and do little strips and they hurt WAY less and they don't have to go over it a million times. This was the first wax I had NO HAIR. She even got in there with tweezers and plucked the stubborn hairs! It was beautiful... And it didn't hurt! I was barely even red after with no sensitivity! Just wonderful! read more

This salon is absolutely wonderful! The staff is incredibly nice and professional. I had the pleasure to have Christiane B. as my waxer, and she was incredible. She did a good job at waxing my legs to perfection. What I love about this salon is the fact they give you a towel to cover your private area when getting wax. I've had two facials with Cara McCorkle and would definitely recommend her, especially if you need extractions. She will get them done. Had a great experience here! I got a facial peel done by Peyton. She was very knowledgeable about the products she was using and explained everything she was doing. All the products are natural/organic and smell so good! After the treatment, I noticed that my skin was a lot more clear and felt less oily.
