And I had checked with a few places - none were able to get me in the same day - Helena worked with me so that I could see schedule the same day. I really appreciated that she worked to get me in on the same day. Honestly I didn't know what I was getting when I scheduled my facial a deep cleanse / extraction wasn't quite what I pictured. Turns out it was just what I needed - even if I didn't know it at the time. I was open to letting Helena suggest what was needed. I got there a little early and Helena invited me in - the place is very soothing and tranquil. Helena sat with me while we did some paperwork and asked me about why I was there and assessed what she would recommend. There is going through the motions and then there is taking pride in doing a job with great care. I wondered why there were so many 5 star reviews and after having been under her care I understand why. Helena takes great care in doing a job well done - she cares about her work and you can feel it while she is taking care of you and when you see the finished work. Even with the extractions she was assuring and took her time to ensure I remained ruggedly handsome. And for any guys reading this that may not have had extractions - with Helena the discomfort level was about a 4 out of 10. This was my first time coming to Helena and I actually found her on Yelp! I was in desperate need for a facial after I had horrible breakouts from trying out Curology. I was very scared to go to a new place, but I read other reviews about Helena being super gentle with extractions and they were right. Extractions are a necessary evil, so I was super nervous about that but Helena was very gentle! It was the least painful extraction I've ever had! I have oily, congested skin so I get clogged pores often. I am so happy I trusted Helena with my skin. In the beginning, I had a talk with her about my skin and my concerns. She is very patient and perceptive. She took a look at my skin and reccomended me the deep clean/ acne facial. The facial was very relaxing and I even fell asleep. Waking up when it finished I was glowing. I still have some redness but I anticipate that to go down and the inflamed acne to heal nicer. First time going to Helena. She is AMAZING! Let's start with how sweet she is... upon arrival she was just a ray of sunshine! Before she starts on the facial, she sits you down in her super cutely decorated space to ask about your daily facial routine, meds/hormone status, etc. Once she's done with the questionnaire, the facial begins. She started my facial off with using a warm steamer to open up my pores. Then she began massaging and extracting blackheads/whiteheads. I think she used a facial mask at some point too (Helena was so gentle and soothing I fell asleep lol). In the end, when the facial was complete she took me to the mirror to check out my skin. O.M.G. I am just so grateful that I found helena's face clinic. Helena was so nice and was able to accommodate my needs the same day. Very sweet owner that focuses on customer service. Brought my 16 yr old for here first facial and later even convinced my husband to come in...for his first ever! He liked the privacy since Helena has her own space and only one customer at a time present at her business--small waiting area for me to sit in while he had his facial. She does excellent basic deep cleaning facial for extremely reasonable price ($80), especially for this area of town. When I had my facial, I stuck with the deep cleaning basic at Helena's recommendation. I have very good skin for a woman in my fifties and Helena did not try to sell me products that I did not need or specialty facials so she could charge me more.
