Exactly what I wanted and expected from an organic burger place. Fun atmosphere, just casual enough, superb drinks, good quality meat, and the best milkshakes I've ever had! Expensive, absolutely. Especially given the burgers don't come with fries. That said, good, quality food comes at a price and the area is expensive anyway. After a burger, a side of fries/Brussel sprouts/onion rings, and a small milkshake, you're looking at $20 a person. But this is the best burger I've had in a very long time. FOOD Their crunchy Brussel sprouts are HEAVENLY and I don't even like Brussel sprouts!!! And when they say rare, they mean rare! Perfectly cooked burgers. I recommend the bison burger. And the caramelized onions are plentiful. And as weird as this sounds, I recommend the chicken tenders. I've never had breading that crunchy with the meat remaining soooo juicy. For kids, this is 100% the way to go (plus, the kids meal comes with fries and sliced apples)! ACCESSIBILITY Both floors of the restaurant are accessible (they have an electric lift to the second floor). The bar isn't accessible but I'm sure management would permit someone to get bar prices at a regular table if requested. In Short: Nearly all of the bad reviews are from the vegans (which is not even remotely surprising.) Do not listen to a fucking word those airheads say, this place is great. First off, I hate salads. It'll probably cause me to die a painful death one day but I won't eat them ... except for this spot's Hudson salad. I couldn't tell you why I like it better than every other salad, but I do. As for the burgers, they are amazing. I don't know which one I like more than the other because they are all great. After nagging to a friend of mine to try Bareburger he agreed but wanted to be closer to Rye, and we were surprised to find a location. As you know they are growing quickly and even made it to Dubai! In terms of food, you're getting very high end quality in a casual atmosphere. There's ample choice for just about anyone no matter what your restrictions are. Pricey, as everyone says, and sorry to say but I'm not impressed by the Impossible burger at all. I really wanted to like it and had high expectations from everything I have heard. And man does the Impossible burger look the part, can't tell it's not beef! The taste however leaves a lot to be desired. I can explain it, but it tastes like peanuts? It's weird and not appetizing at all. Will definitely not be having it again. We ordered two burgers, a chocolate shake, a kids meal of grilled cheese and a side of onion rings and the total came out to $80! Yiiiiikes. The burger is actually a wrap and includes sweet potato, kale & wild rice patty, hummus,tomatoes,baby kale,avocado basil dressing, on a collard green wrap. I added an egg and avocado. Popped in for lunch to round off our trip to the USA with a burger as we hadn't managed one all week! I opted for the Impossible Burger as I'm vegetarian and had heard so much about it. It was freshly cooked and delicious and could have fooled me it was beef if I hadn't known. This might be an issue for some veggie/vegan types but there are more "traditional" veggie patties on the menu too. The fries were good but had to be ordered separately as the burger wasn't served with them as standard. My wife had the Classic Beef Burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hers came from the lunch menu which offered better value for money as the burger came with fries and a drink. You can also opt for a create your own burger with a good choice of toppings, patties, sauces and different bread types too including gluten free and vegan. The Cococado 12oz vegan milkshake is an amazing and tasty treat but it is a 900 calorie drink so perhaps it's worth sharing! Been a reliable allergen/dietary friendly family spot for years, but regrettably this Bareburger location seems like a bit of a pandemic casualty. They've dropped many menu items and the staff is barely present. The kids' grilled cheese has been a lifesaver for my young vegetarian son for years, which they just got rid of, and upon our learning this they refused to let us order a cheeseburger (which we were happy to pay for) and just leave out the burger, i.e. bread and cheese. We were told a patty had to be served on it and then we could take it out ourselves. For a vegetarian. OK. Place was nearly empty so they weren't overwhelmed. I've been to bareburger a number of times with my girlfriend and we're always decently pleased. Located right in the heart of the town of rye, it's always a pretty good experience. The wait time is never long, and the wait staff does a great job of explaining the whole menu. It's a bit pricey, but that's to be expected from a farm to table restaurant. My only complaint is that they've changed the menu a bit since when we first started coming here. We came here twice and loved it. It was just great quality and tasty food. Suddenly the menu changed a lot, and they took some awesome items off of it. I think they also changed the ingredients a bit in some of the other things, because the gluten free bun just did not taste the same (not in a good way). Absolutely horrible. Arrived soggy an hour later, looks so gross. I haven't eaten anything all day and I still don't want to eat this. AND they forgot my fries. I spent $13 on the soggiest, grossest looking burger ever. Bun was soggy and flatter than a pancake. The cheddar cheese was some questionable blob on top (looks like they used shredded and not sliced). The mushrooms are weird thin shavings I ordered jalapeño for an extra charge and got only 4. I used to eat at the original Bareburger and was excited when they opened their second location as were many people. I've since moved out of NYC a few years ago and came back to find that they've expanded much more. I always recommended Bareburger for lunch and/or dinner and when my wife and I saw they opened a location where we were visiting this weekend we were overjoyed - unfortunately we were not only disappointed with our food but the service was just as bad. The quality is not there. The staff seemed lost. We waited about a half hour just to order. When the food finally got to the table it was cold. What a horrible experience. Being from NYC I'm not the biggest fan of bareburger because I've had much better burgers BUT in Rye, NY you are very limited on options. We ordered from here to our hotel and honestly the food came fairly quick, it was still warm, and cooked properly. Still not the best burger I've had but a very good choice in this area. We ordered our drinks, 10 minutes for those to arrive, then we ordered, 20 minutes later the sever approaches and indicates there was a glitch and most of our order didn't go through so we then had to reorder. 15 minutes later our two kids got their chicken tender and fries and 5 minutes after that we got our hamburger and fries, so in all a 50 minute wait for burger and fries. No apology, no nothing, just plain awful service. There were only 4 other tables with people when we ordered. Really not complicated but they tried hard to make it complicated.
