Chicken Milanese

Great service and food. Good for large groups of people. Got the chicken Milanese and it could easily feed 2 people. Would come back again

24 Hour Short Ribs

24 Hour Short Ribs were super tender and full of flavor! The mashed potatoes were also excellent. We couldn't wait to have leftovers when we got home. Very friendly staff and cute downtown to walk around before or after your meal.

My family and I went to eat dinner there last night. We usually go to the one in Mount Kisco but we were in the Rye area so we decided to give it a try. I ordered one of their specials which I loved. I had the blackened shrimp tacos, my husband ate the salmon and my son of course ordered his favorite chicken tenders with fries. The food was hot and fresh. I also ordered the summer sangria and it was delicious !!! The service took a bit because it was super crowded. The ambiance is casual but it was also a bit dark in there with regard to the lighting. Finally, for some reason the AC felt like it wasn't working and that's pretty much the reason for the four stars especially yesterday which was the hottest day of the week.

Service was terrific-, friendly and attentive. Stopped in for lunch on the day of Rye's sidewalk sale. Food was delicious with incredible flavors

Smoked oysters and sweet potato fries

Amazing food and great service. I was in a party of 6 and we tried almost every appetizer and had a great variety of entrees. Everything was great! We would've returned the next day, but they are closed on Mondays and we left town Tuesday afternoon. I'm still thinking about the cocktails, fried polenta, and the amazing summer vegetable pizza. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular.

Caramely Good: (My Friend's Salted Caramel Pie+ Vanilla Scoop)

After my friend Jason M. and I were turned away from an original spot we decided on because their 'summer dining hours changed', we fine-tooth combed the town and Village Social made the cut. Plus he and I have never been. Set in a super casual spot, Village Social's inside has bistroish mini floor tiles, grey+black interior with large, overhead light fixtures. This turned out nice for our early catch-up dinner. But it can also be for like a birthday, lunch or almost anything in between. Since I almost devoured the Polenta bites appetizer at their Mount Kisco location, I wanted to relive that. Edible, but these folks didn't completely make it happen. While the Butter+Honey flavors were present, what I got was soft tofu consistency- instead of firm. My 3, heftily filled fish tacos were good and actually liked the significant protein used in the dish without the cabbage+veggies taking over. Service was fine. I wasn't obsessed with the food execution here. Their other Village Social meals in Mount Kisco gave me a lot of "oohs" and "ahhhs" a year ago- but I guess I don't stray away too much when I write that this location's food wasn't all that either.

I had been a minute since I caught up any of my Yelp friends IRL, and a dinner and drinks rendezvous with Mercedes C. was long overdue. After some discussion as to where we should go, we ultimately decided on Village Social. The name sounded familiar to me, I feel like the name or one similar to it had swept across my Yelp feed. Anyway, I was looking forward to trying out a new place and catching up, so off we went. Village Social is located on Purchase St - which looks like the main commercial strip in Rye. Once I arrived the name finally clicked - they have another location in Mt. Kisco that I passed by recently, I knew this place looked familiar. Anyway, the restaurant has a neutral facade, and the interior gives way to a really comfortable space. The aesthetics are contemporary, with opposing dark and light color schemes; it kinda reminds me of those memes that show starter packs for "hot new restaurant in town". It was all good though, and we sat by the window which gave us a lot of natural light. The menu had a lot to choose from - there were a lot of sections but not too overwhelming. Salads, apps, mains, pizzas, sandwiches - they seem to be touching a wide variety of cuisine. We both had a drink - I forgot the name of mine but it had blueberries, vodka, and lemonade; it was delicious - lots of blueberry flavor which was a winner for me. For food, we decided to start with two apps: the burrata crostini and the polenta bites. These were both pretty good - the crostini was paired with mushrooms and and a pea puree which added to the depth of flavor (burrata itself does not have the most flavor). The polenta bites were fine - they were doused in honey but it all pooled to the bottom of the bowl, and were too soft for my personal taste; they would have been better if they were crispier on the exterior. For my main I went with the spicy chicken sandwich which I found to be just fine. The sandwich was paired with an aioli and pickles which complemented the flavor of the tangy sauce and chicken, however I noticed they used what looked like processed chicken (dare I say frozen?) in lieu of an actual chicken breast. This was a little disappointing, and took away from the quality of the dish for me. The fries were good, they were the thin shoestring kind which is one of my favorite fry types. We opted for dessert, and I went with the salted caramel pie. This was pretty good - there was good caramel flavor without being too sweet, and the strawberries it came with provided a nice reprieve from the relative richness of the pie. Service was good, everyone we interacted with was friendly. Overall, I had a fine experience at Village Social - the food was good, but I didn't find it to be particularly noteworthy. I think this place is best suited for locals - if I lived in the area I would be a repeat customer. However, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to return.

This place is a gem. We actually came here by accident and my family and I are completely obsessed. The ambiance is so warm and comfortable. I have ordered something different every time I've come here and I have never been disappointed. The servers are attentive no matter how busy it is . Lia M . Is super friendly and knows her stuff ( she's my favorite ) . Each item that I ordered had so much flavor. The quality of the food cooked is top notch. My husband always says he wants to shake the chefs hand. This is my favorite place in Rye and surpassed my expectations. This place deserves more than 5 stars ! PS- try the social wings ( lime chilli)

Ambiance was good and the server was friendly. Food was impressive, tasted as good as expected from the reviews read. The flavors are strong and the meal size is filling but not too much which was great.

Sunny-Side Egg Pizza

I had a very tasty lunch here! We sat outside and started off with a watermelon Mojito. That was great! As an appetizer, we ordered the mussels and for entrées, I got the sunny side up egg pizza and my friend got the fish tacos. The mussels arrived in a wonderful wine broth which was garlicky and delicious. yum! My sunny side up egg pizza was perfect, with a crunchy yet pillowy crust. Lots of truffle shavings and truffle oil. The egg cracked perfectly and it was delicious! The fish tacos were equally delicious, yet a bit sloppy to eat. Maybe the restaurant could benefit from getting taco holders? I our waitress was friendly and nice and all in all it was a wonderful experience

Spicy Crispy Chicken Bowl
Juan G.

I like the menu options for a quick bite; and I mean a quick bite. You order, than blink and your food is there in front of you. Place is efficient. I had ordered the spicy Crispy chicken bowl and it was alright. The spicy sauce wasn't to spicy and lacked a little flavor. The crispy chicken bites tasted pretty good though. As you can tell from the picture they could have added more rice or something. The pickles weren't necessary. Overall I come back and try some of their other menu items.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. Along with the course there are tennis courts, a swimming pool, and club house. Our dining experience was a delight. We started with the edamame & roasted beet hummus, which was fresh and flavorful - we couldn't get enough of it. We also ordered firecracker shrimp that had great flavor. For the main course we ordered the summer squash bucatini, grilled filet mignon, mahi mahi kabobs, and sea bass. The summer squash bucatini was fresh, light, and flavorful - a great summer pasta. The grilled filet mignon was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The mahi mahi kabobs were cooked beautifully on top of fresh greens, quinoa, and pickled onions. The sea bass was wrapped in banana leaves and steamed with julianne vegetable and Himalayan rice - exquisite! For dessert, we indulged in the raspberry sorbet, the brownie sundae, and the midnight mousse cake. Each dessert was a sweet ending to an already impressive meal. The ice cream in the sundae was substituted with raspberry sorbet topped with sprinkles, delicious! The staff is friendly, personable, and attentive - we were taken great care of!
