It's only been open several years. The pool was clean and relaxing, and the staff made us feel very welcome. There are great amenities like a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, and even a dog park and fishing ponds. Very clean bathrooms/showers. It's a great place for families and anyone looking to relax and have fun. Highly recommend!

Super nice RV park. I'm going to go with "Likely nicer than 97% of the RV Resorts you will ever…read morestay at." The place is new, clean, super organized. Easy to pull through. It has one of the best designed traffic flows I have seen. You drive to the back, find your row, take a left and pull into your slot. Look on their web site if this doesn't make sense. It's super easy. Every site is a very flat concrete pad with plenty of room. All roads are asphalt and are in perfect condition. It's the easiest place to get into and out of that I have seen. They have all the expected connections at every site. No cable, but there are more than two dozen channels available via antenna. They pick up your trash. Super nice pool. Golf carts for rent. Places for kids and dogs. The grass is very nicely maintained. The place is secure with a real gate that they give you a card to open. Everything here is first rate. The staff was super nice. We got an Amazon delivery but we're off at Bald Head Island near closing time they called us about it and we said just leave it by the door... someone took the time to bring it to our site! While you are there, definitely take the ferry out to Bald Head Island. It's not far. I definitely recommend this place and honestly will say that it deserves more than five stars.

They even offered to help us pack up on the day we left! They did this with our neighbors too! I'm not sure what everyone is referring to about the rude staff we definitely didn't experience that. Maybe they have hired new staff. We will definitely be back!

Just stayed in a cabin for a week. It was a pretty miserable experience. We removed from our first…read morecabin because of an AC leaking badly. The second cabin was no better. The AC in the loft leaked so badly. I would have to dump out a bowl every few hours (all thru the night). If we were going out for the day, I would have to put towels around the bowl to soak up the excess then I would have to take those towels to the half operational raggedy laundromat. Put that on repeat for the entire week. The garbage disposal was broken and smelled like a black tank. This cabin also had an issue with bugs. I found two dead roaches saw some very healthy, live roaches and random bugs throughout We were in contact with maintenance several times and they could not fix any issues and we spoke to two different managers that were very sympathetic and apologetic and told us we would at least be receiving a partial refund that has not happened and I will update if it does Notice the picture that they strive for a five star experience. The staff were nice and did the best they could. But evidently there hands are tied with sub par leadership at the top end. At $325 a night I feel cheated. We have camped here many many times and rented boat slips 2 or 3 times. This experience has ruined me ever wanting to go back to NMB Dry Dock and Marina. Buyer beware

The sites are very well shaded, which is super nice. Aside from that, not impressed and we won't be back to this location. There were ants everywhere. We're going to have to spray our camper when we get home because of how many ants were at this campground. The staff at the store/registration weren't super nice. It felt like we were asking a dumb question every time we asked something. Charging $100/day for a golf cart rental is wild behavior. Half of the splash pad didn't work and the ground needed a really good pressure wash. The hours of everything is odd - I've never stayed at any campground where the camp store closes at 4pm? Our last KOA 2 weeks ago, it closed at 7pm and their shuttle went until 9:30pm...so having a "shuttle" to the beach that stops at 3:30 in the afternoon is dumb and useless. Very unimpressed - will not be returning and we also do not recommend.

When I walked into the cabin I rented it was like an oven. I turned both heaters off and opened the…read morewindows I don't know what the deal with that was. The TV at the KOA sucks big time. There was two big controllers I couldn't figure out why they weren't working so they had a guy come and look. Apparently there was a third controller in the bedroom that I didn't see that turn the TV on. So if you have accounts like Netflix or Amazon prime you can log into them and watch stuff. There wasn't a whole Lot of channels, there was Will and Grace and save by the bell. So I watch saved by the bell. But apparently if somebody logged into your TV somehow because it kept glitching out and then it says that this person logged into my TV about 6 times. Then it would exit out everything. The TV would constantly freeze and not do anything, will post video on yelp of this. If you're watching for more than an hour it will just turn off by itself. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all while I was there. I tried on three separate devices and the Wi-Fi didn't even show up. I don't know why they would clean the mini fridge with simple green or something similar. You open it and I got a big wiff of simple green. I had an expensive cheesecake in there, pasta and Starbucks. The next day I went to eat it and the cheesecake tasted like cleaner... I had to throw everything away... $70 worth of food in the trash. You're not supposed to use those kind of cleaners in fridges. Dog park- the dog park was OK but it would be nice to have some grass instead of just dirt and mud. Overall this day was pretty quiet other than typical traffic and motorcycles

Let me first clearly state this is NOT a resort. A "resort" is a term that campground owners are…read moreclearly taking advantage. Secondly, this was previously a KOA and is not a newer campground. I visited in a 40 ft motorhome and was placed in one of the smaller spots from what I can see walking around as many sites were of nice size. The site picnic tables are concrete so unable to move them and mine was placed at the very front of my site making it useless unless you want to be roadside attraction. It didn't take me long to understand why when I wanted to put my awning out and bring out my chairs I would be sitting on top of my neighbors sewer and electrical box, yes, they were right beside my camper on the passenger side making no room for a picnic table. Therefore, no sitting outside on this trip unfortunately. As far as the "resort"......not even close. They offer no resort amenities. No concrete pads, no food service, no planned activities for the kids, a very small pool was closed for the season. So we are clear on my expectations and experiences at a true "RV Resort" they have a restaurant on property, they have concrete pads, they most often have a year round pool or hot tub, they have spacious sites, the property is well maintained, they have places around the campground you can sit and relax or have family activities. This place offered none of this but yet the price we paid during off season was more than what we pay at ocean front resorts in NC. This campground is more of a community of long term or permanent campers. Some sites need to be reeled in by the owner as they look look like a collection point of recycling. A camper at one particular sites was circled by debris doing this place no favors. The place was full of RVs, but yet we saw only about 3-5 people over a 3 day stay. The customer service over the phone was great. Very friendly and helpful. They do have a limited offering of supplies in the office. The price point from my experiences here would be more realistic at $30-40 off season and 50-60 during peak. We paid $80 off season. This will not happen again as there are choices in the area where the prices are more balanced with offerings for a visit with family who live in the area.
