Very hard review due to the mixed feelings I have about this place. My first impression was over…read morethe phone when I asked about check in time I was told it is 3pm and if you want to check in before it is an additional 25 dollar fee, seriously? yes even if the site is available, ok so what do I do if my GPS takes me there and arrive at 2:40 and she said you still have to pay the 25 dollar fee or you can wait at a nearby Walmart. Gave me the impression that is not a customer friendly campground. I wasn't given the discount because I didn't ask for it, no refunds after the site has been reserved, no credits either. Upon arrival we were waiting to be checked in behind a Class A rig by the gate house and due to the size of the Class A I could not read the tiny sign indicating that if there was nobody at the gate to come inside, finally when that rig moved I realized I had to go inside, another 5 or six minutes wasted after 3pm no big deal but it adds up to my initial disconformity. The place is huge! I have never been to a campground with over 1000 sites not one hundred but one thousand! Very hard water but that is not their fault, city water. Got to our site and it looks ok but but but it is not concrete and it is not gravel, it is a combination of dirt sand and leaves. That tells me the site may have been vacant for several days and the 25 dollar fee is not even justified because I am not rushing employees to clean up the site that just became available the day of my arrival. Dirt and sand, no problem as long as there is no rain because I brought my 14 X 14 rug but guess what it rained all day the day before our departure and it was a bit of a mess even if we take our shoes off inside the coach. We didn't partake in any of the amenities available like the water park and the corn hole etc because of the convention we were attending here and BTW the facility we were given was very nice to accommodate about 80 plus of us. I take one star for the fact that my site wasn't quite level and for the dirt, it is not even gravel for goodness sake. I wouldn't call it a resort unless every site was concrete Would I come back? Yes just because the beach right there a few feet from the sites that are closest to the Information Center where we gather every day for our conference. It turns out they give a discount but they won't offer it to you unless you ASK for it and because I didn't ask at the time I booked they refused to refund because it is run by a corporation with dozens and tens of dozens of employees. Inclined to take two stars but because I had a great time with our new friends at the convention I am leaving this place very happy and wishing to come back when it is not raining ALL DAY with a bloody mess on my shoes with all the dirt and sand. Water park inside for the youngins but the dirt and sand prevents me from calling a five star resort but a four star campground

But not our idea of family friendly - yes there are lots of things to do like beach, Putt/putt and arcade (extra $) but for relaxing, walking or riding bikes it's terrible due to heavy traffic of constant golf carts and vehicles. If you don't bring your own fire ring you have to rent one if you want a campfire. Almost all sites are dirt/gravel and they are super close on all sides.

There was two big controllers I couldn't figure out why they weren't working so they had a guy come and look. Apparently there was a third controller in the bedroom that I didn't see that turn the TV on. So if you have accounts like Netflix or Amazon prime you can log into them and watch stuff. There wasn't a whole Lot of channels, there was Will and Grace and save by the bell. So I watch saved by the bell. But apparently if somebody logged into your TV somehow because it kept glitching out and then it says that this person logged into my TV about 6 times. Then it would exit out everything. The TV would constantly freeze and not do anything, will post video on yelp of this. If you're watching for more than an hour it will just turn off by itself. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all while I was there. I tried on three separate devices and the Wi-Fi didn't even show up. I don't know why they would clean the mini fridge with simple green or something similar. You open it and I got a big wiff of simple green. I had an expensive cheesecake in there, pasta and Starbucks. The next day I went to eat it and the cheesecake tasted like cleaner... I had to throw everything away... $70 worth of food in the trash. You're not supposed to use those kind of cleaners in fridges. Dog park- the dog park was OK but it would be nice to have some grass instead of just dirt and mud. Overall this day was pretty quiet other than typical traffic and motorcycles

Everywhere in the resort was clean and well maintained. The pool was very clean. While swimming an employee went around and offered free ice creams sandwiches to the guests. Bad time for me to be on a diet. This is the third annual visit to the Myrtle Beach KOA and I hope to come back soon.

You park on the concrete pad, that is where they blow. They mow, etc your spots grass that is inches away. Actually they have to go under the slide-outs, to mow. What is this the Mafia? To much pressure! With the cost of RV's these days & possible damage, extra training should be involved.

It was super easy to book online and they called right after to confirm and share details before we arrived. Since it was December I only booked a few weeks before but I'm sure during peak season you'll have to book earlier. There are 100+ sites that have a concrete pad with a picnic table and fire pit. Check-in was simple but know there are two entrances and one is locked until you get a code. Devon at the front desk was very friendly. She shared some area activities and restaurants. The park was clean, well organized and there was a lot of large RV's. It has a beautiful view of the intracoastal with decks, a trail around a small pond, kayak rentals, dog park and activities hall. We missed all their Christmas events but enjoyed walking around and hanging out at our site. We used the fire pit every night for dinner. They also have a bathhouse with separate bathrooms which was nice but could use a little refreshing. The staff was awesome cleaning the grounds and they even had daily trash pickup from your site. We will definitely come back to this park.

To be honest I was a little worried based off of some of the negative reviews and moving such a far distance. My experience turned out to be completely different than what some of the reviews stated. We were welcomed by Ruth and she made it very comfortable from the beginning. Keep in mind this a full time RV park and not a campground, so that means everyone around you is living there and not there for the night. They ask is to keep you site clean and presentable, don't cause a ruckus, stay on the gravel lot so you are not tearing up the grass with your vehicle & the most basic of them all is pay your rent on-time. This is all basic neighborly etiquette that you would find anywhere else especially in an HOA. The monthly prices are phenomenal even if you are on a lot where you pay your own electric. We stayed for 4 months and would have stayed longer if we didn't buy a house. I also want to shout out Melissa who was an amazing neighbor and who has recently started working in the office with Ruth. She has been a huge help with any questions we may have had and her family helps ensure the upkeep of the property. One of my favorite things about this place is the amount of property in the community and not having to leave the community to go for long evening walks with the dogs. On my last day I went in to take care of my electric for the month and Ruth had a check for my deposit refund waiting for me. Thanks again Williamson for giving us such a great full time RV experience.
