I love this store because not only are the prices great, the level of personal service is most…read moreexcellent ! We moved to Loudon County from West Knox County and I had always shopped at larger chain competitor and made two-three visit a month to Food City at Kingston Pike and Ebenezer Rd. to purchase angus beef items and much better priced canned goods, than same items at the larger chain grocer. When that store closed in 2014, I began shopping at the Morrell Road Food City, but missed the easier and safer access to the Ebenezer location. Upon each visit to the Lenoir City Market Street location since my First Big Shopping to stock new pantry trip, in June 2016, I have been greeted with smiles and offers to assist. The difference now being, most employees know me by name. I not only purchase grocery items, I also purchase most of my pet products, food, treats, toys; catering items from deli at least twice a month and weekly desserts and their specialty macaroni salad, grape salad, egg salad and ham salad. All taste like the ones I grew up eating at my grandmothers house. The cooks, chiefs, preppers etc all cook outside of their job and understand local food favorites. Larger stores have their deli cases filled with what I call "Millennial Concoctions" having added kale, some type of sprouts and pine nuts to 75% of the salads. The produce is ALWAYS fresh and presented in such an appealing manor that I often get stuck there for most of my visit trying to decide what I can buy and eat before it goes bad. Oh, and the produce department has the Food City Specific 5 for $19.99 items just like they do in the meat department. They are behind the closed door cooler section that shares a wall with Deli. I really have enjoyed being able to purchase uncommonly used items like fresh limes, lemons, figs, radishes, different varieties of apples, pears, oranges etc. This allows me to sample things I wouldn't usually buy and also purchase just enough limes to juice for a key lime pie and not have to purchase an entire bag that will spoil before use. This combo purchasing option has actually saved me money each week in meat and produce departments. Speaking of meat department, I am partial to the guys at Lenoir City location, nut in fairness, each Food City Store I have ever shopped has a most attractive, neatly presented meat and seafood case and always has a butcher or employee that can offer tips for preparing each item they sell. The cases are monitored closely, especially the ground chuck when it is on sale. The staff is always wearing clean white butcher aprons or jackets and eager to cut larger items, like the beef brisket I purchase at least once a month, into 4 smaller pieces that will fit into my largest slow cooker. The florist has beautiful items years round and very talented designers. I just purchased gorgeous Orchid, Easter corsages for only $3.99. The young lady added more ribbon for me on the spot, no can you come back later and pick them up. I had no idea they even offered corsages without special order AND took time to add custom ribbon while I shopped. The Pharmacy staff is also amazing... I just recently moved my prescriptions to this store as well and love the fact that I can be assured that one of the two pharmacist will be there. These ladies are always courteous, & FAST ! Unlike the larger chain I patronized on South Northshore Drive. Just this morning, I registered for the Curb Side Delivery service, as I am spending about 5 hours a week in the store, With it being spring, I have so many chores outside keeping our property mowed and now the garden. I called the home office to get that set up and cancel the numerous duplicate value cards and no longer existent value cards. Ashley was very helpful and thanked me several times for being a loyal Food City Customer. Her attitude and that of others is reason for my loyalty. Finally, the cashiers and baggers. I cannot say enough about them and the Customer Service. I love Kathy, Roman and the tall guy with clean cut military hair cut. The lady that is always at self check out is also a sweet heart ! I had accidentally left my keyless entry Porsche key fab at a check out counter and had no clue because I have another that I carry in purse. About a month after I realized my key with Value Card was missing, I was in store. I heard my name called to come to front service desk. She said, I kept looking for a Porsche and had all the carry out clerks look and let me know when they saw one in lot. She said, Roman had just told her here was a red Porsche SUV in lot. She tried the key and my car lights flashed. So she knew it was correct car. That saved me $375 replacement charge.. This example is characteristic of each person I have encountered at this location. I have failed to mention so many that I speak to each visit. I will make note of your names and include you in an additional survey.

I shop here when I need something right away . The store is so cluttered, the deli food area looks…read moredirty , food and pizza always dry , old and not appetizing at all . Not one employee says hello or ask if you need help this also includes your management. When checking out cashiers seem to get upset of you need help . You have so much competition in the area , and more coming definitely need to make a major change
