    Fried cauliflower

The view and ambiance outside was cool, music was ok. But the food was lacking. Ordered the cauliflower, did not expect it to be battered the fried with with no flavor. Had the black and blue steak sandwich, it was meh nothing special. Service was ok, no salt or pepper on the table, had to go find some as well as a plate for the cauliflower.

We stopped here for lunch passing through town. We were seated at a table outside with great views of the river. We split an Italiano sandwich with homemade kettle chips. The portions were HUGE so very glad we split a meal. The sandwich was hot with lots of meat and fresh toppings. Loved the kettle chips and the spicy coating. Service was great. Two servers were working the whole place, inside and out, and they were working their buns off to make sure people were getting what they needed when they needed it. No live music when we were there but it looked like a cool place to take in some live music. Good stop.

Very cool spot on the river in the Dalles! We happened upon it when we were looking for dinner one evening on the way to pick up our boys at the scouts camp. They got us seated quickly, everybody was very friendly and on a nice night, it was just perfect to sit outside! They have booked indoor seating, with the majority of the seating available outside. There was a bit of a breeze off of the hills, which I suspect is there a lot of times given the water. The food selection had was pretty solid. It was pretty classic Gastropub type food. Burgers, salads, steaks, a very nice Parmesan crusted chicken, and some pretty solid appetizers. My better half had the bacon cheeseburger, and I had the Parmesan crusted chicken, while our little Dude was feeling less adventurous and had him some butter noodles. The winner of the night however were the cheese curds! We've eaten A LOT of cheese curds and these were truly unique. It looked more like fried chicken breading and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely something you should try. Despite being swamped due to the live music outside, things came out relatively quickly. All in all, a solid stop on the river!

Top tier customer service from the time you walk in till you leave. Go sit outside and enjoy the view! Very reasonable prices for quality of the food. Dogs welcome outside.

Decent bar food, great beer selection, great outdoor area (can be really windy though), and decent service. I had the happy hour special taco which happened to be three shrimp tacos and some tortilla chips. The chips flew away - lol! It was that windy but it was also a beautiful day so we sat outside! Kombucha was yummy. Hubby had the bacon cheese burger and it was huge! Best part - music was top notch and not too loud since it's outdoors.

Voted WORLDS BEST lightly FRIED OYSTERS....yes voted WORLDS BEST by my wife and I. This venue is nothing short of spectacular...right on the Columbia with gorgeous views. Service was also spectacular; Easily rated 10 stars for Theresa. She was a machine, always helpful and checked on us so often she made us feel like VIPs. Their beer selection is also top notch. Will be back for sure. UPDATE! We returned one week later, and now EVE has garnered WORLD's BEST SERVER STATUS as well! She's running like a wild squirrel, all smiles and making sure cold beer stays cold and hot food stays hot! Thank you EVE; 10-Star service!

My father and I stopped here on our way hunting. First of all, the view was gorgeous. Right on the water. We were seated quickly, and the server was very attentive and friendly. Good drinks, and amazing food. There are lots of Gluten-free options. I had the fish tacos and they were very flavorful and amazing! My dad had the Reuben and loved it. Service was quick. Overall, the final price was very fair for 3 drinks and 2 meals. Definitely pleased and would love to come back.

Great outdoor dining space and friendly servers. Menu is marked for GF items. We had the lunch special fish tacos. Would be nice if they had a dedicated fryer for fries, chips and other gluten-free items to expand GF options. They have live music on weekends with bandstands inside and out. Looks like it would be fun! Also of note is that you can park your trailer in overflow parking if stopping just to eat in The Dalles when on a road trip!

Penny pinchers lunch specials! Fish tacos!! Salsa was delicious. Fish was excellent. And the slaw with dressing ... YUM

Amazing wait staff. Food was delicious. The views and soft breeze coming off the water made for the perfect afternoon pit stop!

It has an odd entrance that takes you through the brewhouse floor before entering the dining area. They of course have several beers on tap and a pretty nice menu. It was made to perfection had just a hint of a spicy kick to it. Amber was my server and also made the drink. She was awesome, friendly, helpful, and made a seriously good drink. It's called the Wasco Chopped Salad & the fresh lettuce is rather difficult to find under the plethora of amazing & delicious toppings: bacon, egg slices, diced tomato, and the most tender & perfectly-seasoned chicken breast! Every single bite was more yummy stuff than filler lettuce! And the blue cheese dressing was THE BEST- super thick & creamy & didn't overpower the salad. The only complaint we have is we needed more dressing;) This salad was SO good I had for leftovers the next day & it was just as amazing as the night before! We also ordered the Fried Pickles with our choices of ranch & garlic aoli dipping sauces. The pickles were huge spears coated in a crunchy batter! The only complaint about these guys were we couldn't wait for them to cool & almost burnt our mouths;) We also ordered the Pretzel Bites with our choices of mustard & beer cheese sauce. The server gave us a sample of the Dill Pickle Gose beer & wow! We were nervous about drinking dill pickle beer, but this had a refreshing pickle taste! So much so that we took a 4-pack home!

They came and refilled the dog bowl with ice cold water, and our dogs loved that. Service was a little slow, but everyone was nice. I got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and bbq sauce. It was sooooooo salty. Everything. The fries, the pork, the sauce. So much salt. Dipping in my husbands ranch mellowed the salt a bit. My husband got the chicken pesto burger and salad. He said it was good, though Costco's was better. lol. But he ate it all. The dogs got their bowl split in half. There was a bunch of peanut butter, chicken, cucumber, and cabbage. The picky dog devoured it all but the cabbage, the dog who'll eat anything ate only the chicken and PB. Really funny. But they were big sized. I'd go again, just being understanding that they're heavy handed with the salt.

I asked for a Dos Equis, and Heather looked at me and blankly asked, "What is that?" When I explained it was a Mexican beer, she snapped, "We don't have that." Meanwhile, I could clearly see another patron at the end of the bar drinking a Modelo. I pointed it out and just asked for a Modelo instead, which she finally served. The real issue, however, was a shocking lack of sanitation later in our meal. My dad ordered the Reuben soup, which came with a side of Thousand Island dressing. He enjoyed it, so a few minutes later, I ordered a cup for myself. When Heather brought out my soup, it didn't come with its own dressing. Instead of pouring a fresh side, she reached over, grabbed my dad's used, leftover Thousand Island dressing, pushed it over to me, and said, "Oh, he looks like he didn't touch this. You can go ahead and use it." I was completely stunned and disgusted. Passing used, pre-served food side-dishes between customers is a massive health code violation, regardless of whether we are family or not. If this is how they handle hygiene in plain sight at the bar, I dread to think what is happening back in the kitchen. We will definitely not be returning.

On a warm or even hot day, this would be perfect. As I made my way through the tasting, I found that I was enjoying several of their wines. The High Tension, their club favorite, was a full bodied blend of Syrah, Merlot and Barbera. A perfect everyday drinking wine And good for parties where you need a wine that pleases many palettes. The other standout for me was the Barbera. Very smooth, full body and slightly jammy. Since I'm in a Barbera club at Cascade Cliffs, I left with the Locomotive. I'm looking forward to a warm spring day to sit in my deck and enjoy with friends.
