I was going to give four stars since there were a couple of glitches, but the staff at BIYD made up for them by being helpful, courteous, and friendly to my son's dog (we're dog-sitting) and me. The first time I went was at 5:30, thinking I had until 7 pm to get the DIY wash done. I was told the store closed at 7 pm, BUT the DIY dog wash closed at 6 pm, so I only had half an hour. I knew that wasn't going to be enough time, so we left and came back the next day, much earlier. The staff was empathetic and very nice both times. The wash went well, and the staff was super-helpful, equipped with towels, a choice of shampoo (or bring your own if you like), and clearly articulated instructions. The water was hot to the touch. I was told a new water heater was to blame, but if I waited a minute or two, the water would cool off and become warm, which it did. My pup was not pleased at all with the "blow-dry" setup. It is a loud shop vac with hoses extending through the drying bays. We politely aborted that part of the process. It was actually okay, since we had enough towels to get her 90% dry. I recently ran into a situation where my dog just wasn't into her food anymore. She's been eating the same premium black bag brand since she was about 9 months old (she's 3 now), so I'm guessing she just got bored of it. I decided to switch flavors within the same brand, but unfortunately, she just doesn't like it. This time, I'm really glad I trusted my gut and bought the smaller 12 lb bag instead of the big one because sure enough, she didn't eat it. When I went back, Katie was incredibly helpful with getting me set up for an exchange. I wasn't looking for a refund, just something my dog would actually enjoy eating, and she made the process smooth and stress-free. Just a heads up for anyone there is a 30-day return policy, but you do need to bring the bag and have your receipt (email or text works great) to avoid any hiccups. Also, Kat was there sampling the Nutri Source, and she was amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and great with the dogs. She gave me some samples and really took the time to understand what was going on with my pup. Since my dog is grain-free, she suggested possibly rotating between grain-free and grain-inclusive options, which I hadn't considered before. WAG N WASH SCOTTSDALE I went to Wag N Wash to have my Dogs claws trimmed and her glands expressed. I was greeted by Logan and Ashley who took me back to Yesenia. Yesenia did an outstanding job w/my Dog Tiki, a Texas Heeler. Ashley adjusted my Dogs collar, Logan recommended this amazing Dog Food called Carna Four which my Dog loved. The fact that these girls all treated me so kindly and showed interest in my Dog speaks volumes. You know, I get it when you take over ownership you MAY make some changes. Really you should leave everything in place unless it needs to be improved. And they did some remodeling and painting-great. Which lead to an increase in prices-I understand. Then it was the owner asking for us to add a tip. Ok. You can always say no. But now the self wash products (shampoo, conditioner, etc) are so extremely watered down, they barely serve a purpose. So I pay more. I tip the wash attendant now. AND, you are adding so much water to your products so that they are less effective but saving you money. If it keeps up like this I will probably find a new spot. Great concept! We were planning on giving our pup a bath at our apartment dog wash station. Someone from Chaparral Dog Park recommended we bring her to Bark if You're Dirty instead. When we arrived, we were completely shocked that we had never heard of this grooming spa before today. They have a ton of pet products, toys, and food items (it was giving Trader Joes for pets). We decided to do the self-wash pet service for $25. They have individual tubs where you can wash and pamper your puppy. You have the option of adding on different shampoo and moisturizing products to the service. You also get to use their blow drying stations after washing your pet. This was a fun experience for us, and we will definitely return to give our doggo a bath in a few weeks! read more

Local-owned, I love that every product in the store is healthy for your pets so you really can't go wrong! They have a loyalty program too and offer returns for anything your dog doesn't like. I have lived down the streets from Bark if you're dirty for months but haven't been in - today we tried it! My dog Atlas is a high anxiety German Shepard so I was nervous but the attendant (I wish I asked his name) was so kind to us and made us feel comfortable even when Atlas was nervously yipping. He reassured me that there's no judgement there and he even brought Atlas a couple of treats to calm him down. The process is very simple and efficient and they provide it all! The self wash thing is a good idea in theory, but it's like 25 bucks to wash your dog and then you have some rude a** lady nagging you the whole time. The products they have are awesome which I did appreciate! However I think my dogs were just a little too jumpy for this so I'll stick to at home washes. Terrible business. The business owner responses to all the individuals who leave negative reviews on the page are just quite frankly embarrassing to read and just down right inappropriate. Anytime somebody leaves a message, the business owner "Steve" feels they need to provide a play by play via their high tech camera security footage and provide the details their visit. He/She even gives the impression in their responses that they can provide audio which it's illegal to record audio without notifying the shopper. This business is just unprofessional and truly needs to have a second look at their business behaviors, and find another person to manage their reviews. I am so happy I found this place! I am a frequent visitor of bark if you're dirty and it's bc of the people and the brands they house I originally fell in love when they were able to make birthday cakes for my dogs! My boys are my everything and this was perfect! After going to pick up their cake I was really impressed by the brands they have. From Open farm to Stella and Chewy, they have so many brands that are really healthy and yummy for dogs. I go to get their dog food now to save on shipping and they have a ton of natural treats like collagen twists and dried up chicken hearts. I will NEVER go back to a petco or petsmart. Groomer "Yesenia" was great with my precious golden-doodle! Groomed beautifully. She called me during grooming to express what was going on and the she would have to trim her shorter. The best dog store in the entire world! Maybe this is a premature classification, but based on two visits, these guys are awesome. From dog cookies, rawhide, dog food, treats and desserts (yes they gave dog cannoli ) there is everything here that will make your dog happy. There is even a supplement section for our furry friends with special sub-section with CBD additives! Of special note is that these guys focus on natural dog food.... At the back of the store there are self washing stations with shampoos ready to go. For spoiled doggies (and their owners) there is a dog spa too!
