This place is ENORMOUS. Lots of room and it's always got lots of dogs to meet. Large trees provide plenty of shade and there are multiple water stations scattered throughout for your pets (recommend you bring your own water for any humans in the group). They also have a full agility course as well as a separate section for dogs under 30 pounds. Finally, and most importantly, they have multiple stations with free bags for clean-up. Several times while I've been there a crew has been going through cleaning up and emptying trash so the place always looks nice. read more

Great park for our 5-month old puppy. There's a larger section for large dogs and smaller section for dogs under 30lbs. Most dogs are in the large dog section. We went to the small dog area, but our pup could still say hi to big dogs through the fence. There are usually anywhere from zero to 8 dogs in the small dog section and they have all been well-behaved. The owners have been nice except some just plop on the benches and don't pick up after their dogs. We're retired, but after coming home with dog poop on our shoes, we started picking up other dogs' poop when we saw it - hopefully we'll make a dent, because there's a lot. read more

BARK BARK BARK!! (means happy happy happy) I have been here a few times, only really checked in once, and I simply LOVE the large space and great neighborhood. I have a very large Great Pyrenees and he can roam as far as he wants with the large spaces here. There is no place or space to be cramped in - the hardest thing about being here is trying to finally convince your dog (like a child) that "it's time to go" but in the end they have a sleepy car ride home. Amenities here are seats and benches for humans and water spots and agility toys for pups. Recommend you bring your walking shoes and a chair to follow your pup around. It is well maintained here and not many true concerns with fecal matter etc. as many fur parents do cleanup their pups presents they leave around. There is a large dog/small dog side and some agility equipment as well as buckets of water for your dog to jump in and cool down. Con: Lots and lots and lots of bugs, mud, and the water in the tubs do not look clean. One of the bowls had slimy brownish substance in it so I definitely recommend making sure your pup does not drink the water here. read more

As an out-of-towner we're not super familiar with the local dog parks, but we stopped at this one during a day trip to Georgetown. It was a large park with plenty of room for our dogs to explore and play fetch. We easily found a shaded spot to sit that was close enough for our dogs to interact with others or stay in their own space depending on their mood. I love taking my dogs to Georgetown Bark Park. They get to run around a large, fenced yard and play with other dogs. They have large tubs for the water loving sort and some tennis balls and agility obstacles for stimulation. The yards are divided for large dogs and a smaller area for small dogs. There are lots of mature trees for shade and lots of benches for seating, or in the case of my shy guy, for hiding when the locals get too rambunctious. My dogs love it there. I just wish they had a bathing area, or grooming tables to dry them off and brush them out after playing. read more

We frequent the Bark park weekly. The atmosphere is great, the space is large, most owners are responsible with their dogs, and actually pay attention. I've rarely seen any issues and when dog fights may start, the owners have always been quick to break it up. It's completely opposite of RR pet depot: aka the Canine Wild West. Most owners are also willing to share knowledge and it's really been a positive experience. We love this place. read more

This is a huge dog park and it is so much fun to let the dog run and find playmates. Please be aware that this park is not monitored. We have had scary interactions with both aggressive people! and aggressive dogs. The other people at the dog park did nothing to correct or help the situation so know that if you go. We have taken our dogs to many dog parks and sometimes dogs don't like each other and that's OK. When it gets physical either from the owners or the other dogs, that's not OK. read more

Leave the park if you see an older man walk in with a pair of German short haired pointers carrying a lunch bag. He keeps a taser in his bag to address altercations that are often times instigated by his dogs and the fact one is not spayed. He has been run off from the Harris ridge/Northtown dog park after pulling it out with intent to use on someone else's dog. He does not comprehend that he would kill a dog using a taser on them. Police were called and he took off before they arrived. He drives a dark blue Ford F-150 with a bed cover - license plate in photo attached. He was also frequenting the Round Rock depot until recognized and now looks to be attending the georgetown park. I'm not one for witch hunts but as many pet parents value the safety of their pets I feel like this is a person they should be aware of who would threaten the life of their dog without hesitation. Aside from the occasional dog that shouldn't be there this park is wonderful. Still a great park but due to construction going on about 1/4 (maybe a little less) of the large dog side is fenced off. I absolutely LOVE this park! Once again, kudos to G'town Parks & Rec for putting thought and consideration into this project. The place is very well-maintained, clean (as far as dog parks go), and very spacious. The small dog pen is very roomy, and not like other parks I've been to, where you get the feeling the small dog section was an afterthought . There are great, user-friendly water stations, and even an obstacle course for the dogs that like to do tricks (like my Butch). The other dog owners, I noticed, are generally friendly. There's a community feel to this place, and I think that has to do --at least in part--with a having well-maintained, premium facility. read more

I am very impressed with the park and wish I lived closer to visit it all the time. It is absolutely huge, has a separate area for smaller dogs, offers shaded bench seating for the two-legged animals, and has the cutest fake fire hydrants for the dogs to use. Water is also available from a fountain and someone has brought a few plastic children's pools for the dogs that like water. When we visited, it was in need of some gravel in the water area, as it was pretty muddy and nasty in that area, but this is easily fixable. The park is really nice however I haven't been able to take my dog for a couple weeks due to ppl having small children in there. I don't want to be the one that gets blamed if my dog runs into a child and knocks them down he's about 85 pounds I really wish they would do like most cities and not allow small children in the large dog area read more

My dog was on the leash due to me getting her use to dogs again because she was attacked. When I came I let her off leash at the other end of the park where no other dogs were and she was doing good. I started to leave once I noticed that more little dogs were coming on the big dog side. This lady with a cocker spaniel cut down that was brown and white had her dog off leash her dog came up to my dog and was snarling. I picked my dog up completely off the ground and my dog wasn't snarling. She told me that because her dog was Neapolitan that it was okay for her dog to do what her dog was doing. She tried to tell me that her dog was just wanting to play. I show dogs and that dog didn't want to play. read more

Great place to wear out a 6-7 month old Catahoula puppy. Plenty of small pools and acreage to bounce around and be a dog. However, be aware of the lady that shows up after 5:30pm. Literally thinks she owns the place and loves to tell people how hey should be raising their dogs. Constantly yells at other dog owners telling them they're doing something wrong. Makes for an uncomfortable environment. Will probably move to the Round Rock dog park. Otherwise not a bad place. read more

Probably the best dog park in the area and we like that we can take our 25 pound dog to either side (small or large dog area). For the most part owners are good at cleaning up after their pets and occasionally folks will get cited for license and failure to clean up violations which I fully support. Also many of us will clean up after the few irresponsible folks. There are some regulars, including a couple of Pointers who are great entertainment with their squirrel chasing and tree climbing antics. Some dogs (and their owners) have to learn that not all other dogs like to play and you need to leave them alone to "do their own thing" I have heard of some folks bringing aggressive dogs and having problems, but have not witnessed anything personally, and we are there almost every day. I have also heard of some odd (ignorant?) folks reporting problem dogs that are not really problems but due more to their own dogs harassing some dogs that don't put up with it. Could be improved by adding gravel near the watering stations so they don't get so muddy. Otherwise well maintained. read more

Way to go Georgetown on the not so new dog park (I think it opened last year or the year before). There are 2 large fenced in areas: one for big dogs and one for the smaller pups. There are easy gates with unleashing areas in between. There is even a water hose with bucks and bowls galore. Benches are a plenty as well. I've been taking all 3 of my goldens here for a while now and have never had a problem (human or canine). I recommend it to anyone and everyone I know with dogs. Parking is off the street, so be prepared to off-road a little. There isn't a human bathroom anywhere in sight, but there are 2 port-a-potties now. It's a great park and I really applaud the dog owners, in my 100 or so trips out there I have yet to step in poop or see anyone not pick up after their pooch. read more

I LOVE this dog park. I love the set up and I love the shade and the area. It's just gorgeous. There is always plenty of water, there are a couple agility obstacles to play with. It's just beautiful. That being said, I'm not rating this park on the owners and dogs present. If you go to a dog park, any dog park, be ready for out of control dogs, kids and insane owners. I only go to dog parks on a very rare occasion, and I go at off times because I can't trust other people and other people's dogs to be nice. I wish I had found this place sooner! It's huge and has tons of space for the dogs to run around and and play together in. We got there and there's a small enclosed area before you enter the play area. You can unleash your pup here and leave the leash so you don't have to carry it. As we walked in, we looked around and saw so many small groups of people that seemed to know each other along with different types of dogs playing. We walked over to one of the many benches under one of the many trees and sat next to other people. Everyone was so friendly and all the dogs were SO well behaved and so friendly. We didn't have a single issue and can't wait to go back again this Sunday!! They also have 2 areas. One for large dogs, one for small dogs. We went at like...8pm so every type of dog was in the large dog area. There were a bunch of buckets of water around along with pools for the pups to play in. We had a blast! read more

If your dog is attacked call animal control. Unfortunately this is what happened to us at this dog park today. The warnings about the older gentleman with 2 dogs in the blue F150 should not be taken lightly. His 2 dogs attacked mine and he just stood there blowing a whistle. I had to chase them off. Needless to say it is frustrating to see that he has been mentioned in posts for multiple parks with no actual consequences. The park itself has a watering area, benches, plenty of shade and areas for smaller dogs and larger dogs. Just seems like its not worth the risk since dog owners are suppose to be responsible for their own pets and its an at your own risk environment per Animal Control. Animal Control also told me they have a 2 warning rule before the person is banned and that if your dog is bitten to call and report it. Hope this helps someone else avoid the same situation. read more

I love this place. I live in an apartment with 2 BIG energetic dogs so they love coming here too! Very big and very spacious, and well shaded for us humans. My only complaint is that the location is kind of hard to get to; as in you have to hopscotch and jump on one leg 3 times, spin around and say "uncle". This place is a spacious doggy haven! I didn't even realize there was a dog park in Georgetown. I took Samuel there on a Wednesday afternoon. It's summer time and a weekday so I knew that the company would be slim. My 8 year old cousin was with me when we took Samuel out. When we got there was another person out there with their dog. One really great thing about this park is that there are tons of trees for shade. However I did notice that there were several benches but they weren't in the shade so that was a challenge for sunny Texas day. However I will say that will all the tress came bugs. There were flying fire ants that kept landing my on my cousin and I. It was freaking me out. There's an agility area for the dogs as well as huge bins, buckets and baby pool. You can fill these up so that the dogs have a place to cool down. As I walked around I didn't notice a lot of poop. That's nice to see. It seems like lots of responsible folks and a well maintained area. Next time I may bring along a folding chair so I can sit in the shade if needed. Overall a really great park. We'll add this to our list of rotations. read more

Beautiful, wide-open space for large or small dogs. There are separate fenced-in areas for small or large breeds, as well as agility equipment and a water/drinking area. The old trees are wonderful and provide shade for you or your dog! There is also a large bench for the humans to sit on. ;) I took my large dog here for the first time today and loved it. Right up there with Cedar Bark Park and Stoney Creek Dog Park (AKA Harris Ridge Dog Park), I LOVED my first visit to this dog park in Georgetown. I can't believe I didn't know about it or check it out sooner! I wish it were closer! It is HUGE HUGE HUGE and BEAUTIFUL! The more spacious a dog park, the less conflict that arises. It's also fenced in properly, for little and big dogs alike. While they have separate small and large sides, a lot of smaller dogs come over to the big side. More pros: -LOTS of agility equipment (more than in any other park I've been to) -water/kiddie pools inside -lots of huge trees and beautiful green grass (that you can even sit on!) -plenty of cool dogs and I didn't see any conflicts (I've only been once though) The only con I can think of is that there is one spot at the big of the park where it stays muddy after rain. It's not large, but it's a small con. That said, there are hoses near the front water station that you can use to clean off your pup if he/she gets dirty. Also, GPS systems seem to lead folks astray. Of the three offerings in Williamson County, this is our favorite (although we go to Cedar Park bark park during the week). We come here every other week to let the kids run free. We have (2) 12-lbs dachshunds who do very well in the large dog park. We're attentive to their activities, so they're not running around free (which could make them look like a fun toy to the larger dogs). Additionally, not letting them run around without us means that when a larger dog doesn't leave them alone, we can rightfully say that our dogs are being accosted and the large dog should be moved along (we've only had to do this two times in the past 6/7 mos of visiting). Large dogs/owners are more respectful and attentive than other parks. Unfortunately the poop is getting out of hand, particularly in the nether-regions when people don't watch their dogs relieve themselves. Lots of pools and water which is great during the summer. Sure there's an occasional mud pit, but it's a small part of the park. Agility course is nice, could be updated, but it's a benefit for sure. Parking can get very hectic when the main park hosts bike rallies. read more

Really big park for the pups. My pup had a lot of fun with other dogs. I did run into the guy with the whistle and two short haired pointers (reason for four stars) Talked down to me About my puppy being there (even though he's 50lbs and has all his shots over a month and a half ago) Seemed kinda weird. Then he continued to talk about how many other dogs his dogs have had problems with (little worry some) and at some point you have to wonder maybe his dogs are the ones a little untrained and aggressive. Anyways I kept my pup away from him and his dogs. ALL the other dogs were great and behaved and played with my dog nice and friendly. They even have a nice agility course section if you're so inclined! read more

Visited Bark Park on a Saturday & Sunday in June. What a great dog park! There are huge trees offering lots of shade. Plenty of space for dogs to walk, play, run or interact with each other. Benches are available for those who want to sit. We will be back often! read more
