We have been in for a looong list of things that consist of general routine check-ups, emergency type situations, orthopedic issues, eye issues, senior issues, and treatment for terminal diseases and end of life comfort care. I feel more than confident in saying, the BCV Team can truly handle any and every situation with extreme professionalism and a heartfelt and genuine care for your "kid". In the rare event that another physician can provide better expertise, Dr.G will gladly refer you out to only the best and she will track the status of your fur kid every step of the way. I have received followups from Dr.G at 10pm and voicemails at 1:30am, just to personally provide a status update and help put "mom" at ease.

Being hit with an insane total I found out that if I use the single cans sitting there (in a mess) to make up a case with several flavors I get charged the single can price. Can price for a small can one flavor case is $2.37. Putting them together myself for more than one flavor it goes up to $2.79 each. I changed and chose two cases / single flavors. $4.11 extra for paying with my card. Checked with the person I was buying for and she was horrified too at their extortionate prices. Decided to return the cans - unopened cases bought two hours earlier - and they made like they were doing me a huge favor. They are not returning the card processing fee. They charged me immediately but I have to wait 3-5 business DAYS for my refund. Dr Gerrity makes $8.3 million a year and yet apparently still has to extort naive customers. Because we are blind and easy prey when it comes to our pets. The vet assistants were all very nice and polite and had ABSOLUTELY NO interest in making ANYTHING RIGHT. I sincerely recommend staying away from there.

They send pictures daily with cute comments (Charlie is enjoying hanging out with his knew friends. Then pics with 4 doggies). If dogs smile he seems to be doing. Also, they offer pet grooming, at very reasonable prices. So, Charlie was bathed and had his nails trimmed when we picked him up. Also worth mentioning is that when we now drop him he is excited to go. Charlie is in the middle (group) absolutely back. Look how happy they all are.

He passed his temperament test with flying colors, but because he's a shy boy and missed me after our 5 hour drive, he didn't eat or play much. That was purely on him missing home, and it had nothing to do with the facility! They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, keep all the dogs well hydrated, and genuinely care for every pet there. They sent me photo updates throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell he was in the absolute best hands. I highly recommend them to anyone needing daycare or boarding. They truly love what they do and take incredible care of the pups. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet boy!

The program even includes a bath!! They do themed enrichment programs every month, which is fun and rewarding for the pups! Our little pup Sugaree just completed the induction program, and she has already gained so much confidence and good behavior. I love that Dawna's training business (Happy Tails to You) is connected with Canine Corral so everything she's learning is carried through in her interactions with the team. The team is so caring and you can tell they truly love the dogs they're caring for.

Other places that we tried weren't successful in addressing our pup's anxiety and social issues. I'm so glad that we discovered Canine Corral. The staff there are well trained and they have good processes to keep things running smoothly. Our pup gets excited as we drive into the parking lot and she greets the staff with fast tail wags and licking! Those are positive behaviors that are so apparent and cannot be denied. We also utilized Happy Tails To You Dog Training with custom training. Dawna knows her stuff and the lessons that we had helped us with challenges that we were having at home. I highly recommend Canine Corral/Happy Tails To You Dog Training for anyone who needs doggie daycare or boarding.

We open the door she first runs for Emily and then looks for her playmates. She is just 6 months and has already learned quite a lot of obedience plus she has started on Search and Rescue. We didn't send her for that but she is a quick learner with loads of energy. This search and rescue training is good for her and she loves the exercises she has to do. Emily is unbelievable to watch. When we first took our dog Emily took the leash of us and very gently taught our dog to sit on command. Our dog was just 8 weeks old when she did this. Emily never shows anything but love and praise to the dogs she understands them and when working with the dogs she constantly praises them. She also trains us so we can continue training at home. Boarding the dog with Emily is like a vacation for the dog. When you get back your dog is happy to see you. You can tell they have enjoyed their stay. I think Emily is the female dog whisperer because she just talks in a quiet voice and the dogs obey. Our puppy is still a puppy with loads of energy her personality has not changed.l because of training. She is a fun loving dog with loads of energy that is under control. Emily's property is spacious and tranquil with acres of wild land behind it for the doggies to roam. Emily is very confident with the dogs, speaking their language and teaching people how to understand their dog companions.

1-Star Review - Extremely Disappointed - Would Not Recommend…read moreI boarded my two dogs at Heritage Kennel in Santa Cruz for four days and was very disappointed with the care they received. One of my dogs, Winnie, arrived with a paw wound. She was wearing a cone and sock, and I provided all the necessary supplies: gauze, bandages, and ointment, along with clear instructions for treatment. None of the supplies were used. When I picked her up, her paw was noticeably worse than when I dropped her off. Additionally, when I collected their bedding to take home and wash, there were dead bugs on the bottom. I also specifically requested anxiety medication for the dogs for the car ride home. I'm not sure if it was ever given -- the dogs were extremely anxious and distressed during the drive. If the medication had been administered as requested, they should have been calm and sleepy for the trip. For the price paid (including what appeared to be charges related to Winnie's paw treatment that was never provided), I expected basic care and follow-through on instructions. This felt like a complete failure of the "VIP treatment" I was hoping for. If dogs could talk, I'd love to hear exactly what happened (or didn't happen) while they were there. I will not be bringing my dogs back to Heritage Kennel.
