Yas and Diana were amazing! Very genuine and caring for our fur baby Kai! They truly take their jobs and responsibility for our fur babies very seriously making you feel comfortable that your pup will be well taken care of. Loved the daily updates too! Kai is a 10 year old Samoyed with high anxiety, especially with chronic separation anxiety. Boarding him has always been a big stress for myself and most of all for Kai. He would struggle with constant barking, loss of appetite, lack of sleep, constant diarrhea, and would rub his nose raw with the kennel gates. Took him to Yas, and he did absolutely amazing! Great, friendly environment for him. He got along with other dogs fine and had a great time. He instantly felt safe and comfortable with Yas and Diana. They made him feel at home, and as a result, had no anxiety issues at all! Unbelievable! He boarded for 9 days and he did fantastic! Barking Bliss was very accommodating with any special needs Kai had, including daily meds. They offer baths and even pickup and drop off services which is pretty awesome! And best of all, very reasonably priced and affordable! Thankful, the we found another home away from home for our Kai!! So relieved and happy to have found Barking Bliss!

If I could give 1,000,000 stars, I would! Yas is truly living in his purpose, and we are so grateful to have found this place for our girl Issa. A week prior, our dog Issa was attacked pretty badly by another dog and needed stitches. My husband and I were so worried about dropping her off so soon after the attack, but we had already booked a vacation. Yas lets you do a trial and drop your dog off for a couple of hours just so you and your dog can see how the feel is. We did the trial, and it was great; Yas is very gentle and informative. Our vacation lasted four days, and Yas sent us multiple pictures and videos every day. It was so wonderful to see her finally get adjusted, comfortable, and even happy. Besides that, the prices are great! They also offer daycare. We will be returning customers!

We have a 1.5 year old French Bulldog/Red Heeler mix Foster. She was not around dogs at all and we want to get her acclimated to other dogs. We have boarded our Boxer with BB and Yas and always had great experiences! Conchita is loving it and making some great friends! Yas worked out a monthly deal for boarding and it's been great!

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. The staff here are so caring and really love each dog, I trust them to take care of our puppy. Highly recommend!

Also my husband works from home, which wasn't ideal for his work productivity or the puppy's enrichment. Our dog is so much better off than he would've been without EveryPup. He responds quickly to texts and calls. The staff is nice and friendly. The hours are great. They're always open including holidays (?!) I'm glad to know there's a place we can board Watson if we ever go on vacation. At one point, another pup scratched Watson under the eye, and I appreciated that Dave was up front about it, cleaned it, and answered our questions; the cut is healing up just fine. Watson even made a new best friend at EveryPup, and we will be meeting up for a puppy play date soon!

Finding reliable reptile care in Orange County is rare, so I'm especially thankful they were able to help. My 54 lb Jindo does not do well with strangers, she is all bark but no bite. I was very anxious bringing her to any dog care but Wendy was willing to do an assessment prior to their stay. This was my very first time doing any sort of dog care so I was really worried about leaving them. They did really well and my other dog had so much fun (he's a social butterfly). The main reason I chose this place vs all the other dog boarding is because they offer a "home" living experience rather than a facility/warehouse. My dogs always freely roams the house and lays on our bed, couch, wherever they please so I wanted something similar and Wendy's house provided that. I couldn't bare the thought of them being kept in a narrow sleeping quarter locked throughout the day. Thank you for taking great care of my babies! This place will definitely be my go-to for any future dog boarding.

August 11th The Day We Lost Louie…read more Our six-year-old French Bulldog, Louie, died from heatstroke just two and a half hours into what we were told would be a four-hour trial day at this daycare. We were told the purpose of the trial was simply to see whether Louie could get along with other dogs. We were never told that he would be taken to a dog park or participate in strenuous outdoor activity. We chose this daycare because the owner told us she owns a French Bulldog herself, and because the daycare had very good reviews. We trusted that our French Bulldog would be understood and properly cared for. What happened that day is something we will never forget. 9:00 AM -- We dropped Louie off for his four-hour trial. 9:30 AM -- Just 30 minutes later, Louie was taken to a dog park for outdoor activity without our knowledge. We had never been told that he would be taken off the daycare premises or to a dog park. The temperature that day ranged from approximately 77°F to 85°F. 10:18 AM -- According to the daycare, Louie vomited after the activity. We were not informed when it happened. 11:30 AM -- More than an hour after he vomited, we received a photo of his vomit. At the same time, we were communicating about payment and completing a reservation for his future stay. We were given no indication that Louie was experiencing a potentially life-threatening emergency. 11:45 AM -- We received a phone call telling us that Louie was not breathing. 12:00 PM -- Louie was pronounced dead from heatstroke. Our dog went into the daycare alive and healthy at 9:00 AM. By noon, he was dead. What is especially devastating is what we learned afterward. We were told that they had never seen Louie breathing so heavily before. We were also told that they had tried giving him water, but he was vomiting. For a French Bulldog, excessive panting, vomiting, and difficulty breathing in hot conditions can be serious warning signs of overheating and heatstroke. French Bulldogs are particularly vulnerable to heat because of their shortened airways and difficulty cooling themselves efficiently through panting. Yet during the critical period when Louie was apparently struggling, we received no immediate warning and no update about his condition. The owner was also not present at the daycare at the time. We later learned that she had a doctor's appointment, which contributed to a delay in communication. While the adults were dealing with schedules, appointments, and communication, Louie was suffering--and we knew nothing. This was supposed to be a simple four-hour trial to see whether Louie could socialize with other dogs. We never agreed to have him taken to a dog park in temperatures reaching 85°F. We never imagined that he would be subjected to strenuous outdoor activity in hot weather. We are devastated that Louie was placed in this situation while in someone else's care. We trusted this daycare because we believed they understood French Bulldogs. That trust was shattered in the worst possible way. Louie was in their care. We trusted them to keep him safe. We expected him to come home. He never did. Louie was not just a dog. He was part of our family, and we will never get him back.

She recommends unnecessary procedures while using fear tactics, which is a shame. The backup vet was very incompetent. She recommended the wrong solutions and suggested imaging that cannot detect soft tissue issues. She never asked any history questions, examined the wrong area entirely, and jumped straight to worst case scenarios without justification. She spent only 5 minutes on the consultation and pushed for X-rays when in my dog's case, those weren't even necessary. X-rays are not the right protocol for soft tissue issues. I didn't have a choice as they were the only place open that day. A few days later my dog is completely fine because it wasn't actually that hard to fix. He had full anal glands that just needed to be emptied ... and this vet was pushing for X-rays and bloodwork instead One thing worth mentioning, she was very quick to suggest cancer or tumors without proper justification. What she may not know is that intact male dogs actually have hormonal protection that significantly reduces the risk of certain cancers in that area. A more knowledgeable vet would have considered this before jumping to worst case scenarios. This is basic intact male biology that should be understood before making such alarming suggestions to worried pet owners. That's why I usually just bring my dogs to my regular holistic vets in Irvine and Laguna Beach. To be fair, the regular staff are lovely. The vet tech was excellent, agreed with my decisions, and actually helped. So I do believe their regular vets and staff are much better. This one star is specifically for the backup vet. Please be very careful if they assign you to her.

When I signed up, I was told the $100 promotion gave me "30 days of free daycare." What they failed to explain was that it meant 30 consecutive days, not 30 days of use. That's intentionally unclear and feels deceptive and shady. They also told me my dog was there for a "half day," about three -- when she was actually there for for about 8 hours. If they can't even track how long a dog is in their care, how can I trust the care provided. My dog left with a severe ear infection and now a has a very noticeable head tilt. When I called to ask about her care, the receptionist had no information whatsoever and even tried to downplay the situation. She didn't know who watched my dog, didn't know whether she was around water, didn't know anything about her condition, and even mentioned the manager had checked me out and left an open invoice on her account. Then proceeded to tell me I had a $45 outstanding fee, which was completely wrong as I had paid that when I picked up my dog. They also lost my dog's collar and told me they "never had it" because they make owners remove collars. But the moment I asked about reimbursement for a new collar and tag, they suddenly found it. That alone tells me everything I need to know about their honesty. And I'm not the only one dealing with problems. My friend -- the one who originally recommended this place -- has had her dog come home with kennel cough and severe issues that have lead to consistent vomiting and diarrhea from Smart Park. Clearly, they are not monitoring pets properly or maintaining a healthy environment. The lack of communication, awareness, honesty, and basic competence is unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated, worried, and completely unsupported. I would never recommend Smart Park to anyone who actually cares about their dog's safety.
