Not only is this location far more convenient for us, but the staff has been consistently kind, attentive, and professional from the moment we walked in. Our dog, Simon, is usually the one who tells us how he feels about a boarding facility--his demeanor at drop-off and pickup says everything. He was happy going in and just as happy coming out, which speaks volumes. The team followed his medication regimen exactly as instructed, and when we called to check in during our trip, they immediately knew him by name and offered honest, thoughtful updates about his personality and behavior (he's more of a relaxed observer than an active playmate, which they picked up on right away). To top it off, the bath he received before pickup was excellent, and they even gave him a much-needed trim around his eyes--something we didn't expect but appreciated immensely. We feel genuinely cared for here, and Simon clearly does too. Dunwoody Pet Resort has earned our trust, and we'll be using them until further notice.

I am a Master groomer but unfortunately I live to far to accommodate her so I was on the phone to make sure she got what she wanted. My sister picked up her dog 4 hrs later ( which is crazy for a small dog) but if he had looked half decent it wouldn't have been a problem. Second he looked like he was in the kennel for 3 1/2 hours and taken out 30 min before it was time to go and no finished work was done. Third they cut him shorter without calling or letting my sister know in advance . Fourth , he didn't receive a bandana or smelled like he had spent 4 hours to get beautified . Then the assistant manager that I spoke with later said that if she paid more she could've gotten a master groomer.. like what? So the most basic clip in grooming history requires a master groomer for him to look decent?!!! I'm sorry but I'm tired of groomers charging and giving half ass results. He did not get a show groomed or hand scissor where I could see where it would require more experience. He got a basic clip. The explanation of why made even less sense. The groomer should have greeted the new client and did an assessment before my sister left on what she could and could not do. That's standard practice here anyway. This was a great disappointment. Train your groomers to hold higher standards in their work and maybe have the "Master" groomers do a once over their work instead of sending them out the door looking crazy.

I booked a $200 full groom for my 95-pound Goldendoodle, and he did not receive the service I paid…read morefor. Most importantly, I do not believe he was even bathed. Cash's appointment lasted just under an hour from the time grooming began until he was ready. When Cash was done, his coat looked, felt, and smelled exactly as it did before the appointment. Based on six years of professional grooming and regular bathing and blow-drying at home, I know what his coat looks and feels like after a proper bath and blow dry. I do not believe he received one. Several other basic parts of the groom were also missed. His paw pads and sanitary area were not trimmed, his belly was left significantly longer than the rest of his body, and his head and face had not been trimmed despite my request for an even-length summer cut. I asked Joseph to trim his face before leaving, and Cash was returned about five minutes later. Joseph also told me he did not use a grooming table and said he had been hesitant to trim Cash's face because he was concerned about hurting him. He did not mention any behavior issues with Cash. I appreciate that Joseph returned later that afternoon after I raised my concerns and ultimately reduced the price by 50%. However, the original $200 price (plus $30 tip) was for a full professional groom, and that is not the service I received. I initially chose Poshest Pooch because of the influencer content I had seen online. Based on my experience, I would not book again or recommend this service.
