Feb 19 th my pups were groomed by this company . They were late instead of arriving at 6 he arrived at 645.. I would have liked a phone call for an update if running late , I definitely understand LA traffic .. The dogs went for a bath without any trouble which is a positive. However after their baths the pups still didn't smell fresh ,I know beagles have a odor but usually not for a few days.. not sure I'll use this company again. read more

My lab was groomed once by this business a couple of years ago and it was a great experience for my dog. The bath came with a package deal which was $65. The groomer was very kind and friendly toward my dog which made the process a whole lot easier for my pet and the groomer. I recently tried to make an appointment with my lab today but found out that the prices have changed. The person I was texting notified me about the price change near the end of the appointment scheduling. For bath and package deal (cleaning, brushing, etc.) $80 minimum, but also mentioned that it may be $80+ depending on how much shedding there is. I thanked the employer and declined the offer so that I can see if there's a better packaged price elsewhere. The employer asked if they kept the price at $80, would I still be interested? I once again, thanked them but would still like to decline the offer. The employer kept insisting if they bought the price down to $75, would I be interested then? Because it's my fault that they declined other customers of their service because I previously made the appointment at 12:30p-1p. I don't normally express my feelings in a review or even take time to make a review at all, but I feel like this employer was very unprofessional at trying to schedule an appointment with a potential customer. I'd give no stars if I could. But I would like to thank Barks N Bubbles for showing me their true colors. I'm sure there's really great groomers in this business that really love what they do, but whoever I was dealing with needs to go back to school and take a class in, "How to treat your customers professionally and run a successful business 101". I have an outdoor shower that I use to bathe my two Golden Retrievers plus a dog vacuum to remove loose hair,but the professional grooming they received from Barks N Bubbles was beyond impressive! I may never bathe my pups at home again. My pups were treated to a spa day with a scented shampoo wash, teeth and ears cleaned, nails clipped , sanitary areas shaved and hair brushed so well that any matts and loose hair completely disappeared. I have three dogs: a 14 pound terrier, a 60 pound German Shorthaired pointer mix, and a 75 pound blue nose pitbull. I have never been able to take them to a groomer because they don't do well with other dogs other than each other. They were all in need of a major refresh, as I can only do so much bathing them myself. I yelped mobile pet groomers, and came across barks n bubbles and a few other mobile grooming companies. The others couldn't give me an appointment soon enough, so I went with barks n bubbles. The one thing I liked a lot was how she communicates via text. Claudia came to my house at 10am as she said she would, and cleaned all three of my dogs (teeth, paws, nails, anal glands, baths). My smallest dog was shaggy and her hair was all over the place, so I had Claudia cut her hair nice and short and it was perfect! My pitbul needed just a bath, so his was easy. My other dog has a huge shedding problem, and Claudia gave her a bath with deshedding shampoo and brushed out her undercoat, which has made a world of a difference already. To top it off, all three got bandanas :) she was very sweet and complimented my dogs behavior (which I was worried about, but they did great!) she gave me her recommendation on when I should get them groomed again, and I will most definitely be calling her back and getting my dogs groomed regularly with her! Okay, so I don't know what kind of magic they did to my dog... But he is sooooo much better with bathtime than before. He would usually let me wash him, and let me towel dry him. Now, he lets me wash him, dry him, blow dry him, AND brush him!!! Brushing was always so hard for Frankie, so I always give him a summer cut to prevent/ get rid of matts. She doesn't answer my text's anymore because when she called me 5 minutes before her arrival she let me know that she will be going up on her price to groom both of my dogs. Used this service a few times but the last couple times I decided to look else where. The last two times I tried to book I would leave messages but no response for days then Claudia would tell me she's so busy. Then again not respond for a few days. Also I was being charged more than first quoted at first groom but she said it was because my dog was so tangled which he wasn't anymore than the first time. Groomer showed up early which was a plus (it was a last minute appointment). He did a very good job, a little expensive (I've had better work for a cheaper price). He showed up in a broke down looking van. Now I've had my dog for about 2 years. She has never ever had fleas (she doesn't go outside, she's a house dog) I noticed she was really itchy the next after being groomed m, but I thought it was the haircut (she was cut really low), so I figured she was bothered. Until my son said he saw a fleas on her, then I checked and BINGO, she has fleas (this might be a week after being groomed). I searched and searched for a mobile groomer. My newly adopted cavalier could only have the best! I feel like I have found that in this great business! Claudia and her other groomer (forgot her name darn it) were so awesome! They did my cavalier and my mom's Boston terrier/shih tzu mix (see pics). I love how sweet and caring and gentle they were with our dogs. Our dogs came in the house strutting their stuff and were happy and not 1 bit stressed! The color on our dogs was a plus! Completely UNPROFESSIONAL and disgusting!!!! The groomer showed up to my house an hour before my appointment time and he rescheduled to come back at a different time, to which I agreed. I am extremely busy with school and work so I expect appointments to be on time. An hour after the rescheduled appointment I called him cancel because he had not shown up. Later, I called to cancel the appointment I had for my second dog on the next day and they did not answer so I left them a voicemail. DO NOT get your pets groomed by the mobile groomers: Barks and Bubbles (hawthorne,ca). This owner CLAUDIA, told her groomer she quoted me MUCH higher, (waits until he is done with the animals), and I confirmed with him the price before he started. She quoted me $65-$75 for one of my dogs ad $75-$85 for the other then tells her groomer to charge me $125 for one and $95 for the other. They basically held my second dog until I paid, who was already done and ready. This was not the case that they saw it was more work then expected so now wanted to charge more, cause had they said that from the start I would have had to think about if it was worth it or not. This CLAUDIA flat out told me a price, and knew exactly what I wanted done per animal, then she has the nerve to say they also charge a $5 per dog muzzle fee, and I let her know her groomer asked if he could muzzle them as they did not know him yet, and I grabbed my own muzzle and said no problem. This woman LIED also to her groomer by telling him that she had quoted me higher by text, and has proof, a text which i do not have and she did/would not share. This is SHADY business practices, and because of her hostage practices, and her lies, and her flat out rude way she spoke to me after the fact I plan to be sure to spread the word to STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!! If I could give a negative review to this owner i would! so consider the one star for the groomer himself, George, who was very nice and was sadly stuck in the middle. read more
