    House salad with fried chicken

Do you love a good salad. This place is my go to for a nice fulfilling salad. The portion sizes are huge and can make 2-3 meals out of it. The strawberry lemonade is fresh and has a niece balance between sweet and tart. Cookies are amazing too. Staff is always welcoming and friendly at all locations. I did receive a bad order from Uber Eats once but whenever I dine it it has been a lovely experience. What I love most is the pup meals. I order my dog food from here at least once every two weeks. They have a chicken option along with a beef option. He loves it.

Ordered delivery at work. Arrived warm and the fries are SO good. Flavor was there on the sandwich and it was enough to feed a family of four

Came for breakfast after walking Hermann park! It's open seating and very quick and pleasant service! I had the fruit and breakfast plate and great portion sizes! The food was cooked well and came out rather quickly! The ambiance is nice and inviting, they also have lunch and dinner, great stop in whenever in the museum district and also dog friendly

    Newport chicken sub fries

Maybe a 3.5 stars. Had our team lunch here again. It's been a year or so but someone suggested this spot. Normally I get their chicken Alfredo but staying away from carbs as much as possible so opted for the Newport Chicken (grilled chicken topped with ham and cheese). I opted for a salad instead of fries and gave my friend the apple cinnamon that came with it. My only issue was that the waiter never told me there was an up charge to sub, just asked if I wanted a side, Caesar or wedge. I opted for the wedge. If you aren't a fan of blue cheese, make sure to let them know. Not familiar with wedge salads so assumed it came with ranch. Newport chicken: the piece of ham was huge while the grilled chicken was not. The chicken was grilled perfectly. The staff is friendly and fun and that made up for the $5 charge for the salad that was tacked on to the bill. Garage is still small. So for lunch get there earlier. The first level now has more reserved spots for pick up than the last time we came. Their mini brownie and ice cream is good but couldn't get it this time. They still have the yummy candy at the door.

We had gone to the Children's Museum just next door on a Saturday afternoon, so decided to drop by here with the kids for an early dinner. Got seated immediately. It was our first time visiting this location, as we have visited thier other location several times. We ordered the Falafal burger split into two with sweet potato fries, Petaluma salad also split into two as portion sizes are large at this chain. And Mac & cheese for my daughter. Max & cheese was too dry and we found out from the server it is actually pre made from the Kraft box, so that was quite disappointing. Had we known about this earlier, we should have ordered a different pasta which they also offer for kids. Otherwise, all the other food was delicious. Service was amazing and love this location. Ambiance is nice. It is small though so it does get packed. Along with thier outdoor seating, they have games available including Jenga and a basketball hoop.

Nothing more fun than finding someplace new! Located in the museum district, we saw people sitting outside under trees enjoying breakfast and coffee. Of course we had to try! Barnaby's is a local small chain, I think, that acknowledges those of us who don't have dogs but have revered 4 legged members of the family. With indoor and patio dining. Barnaby's has a menu just for our dogs. There is an outdoor play area to keep the young and the young at heart entertained while awaiting. When my green eggs arrived, WHAT???? Looked better than the waitress, Eva, described. Baked spinach, artichoke dip egg scrambled. Do I need to say more? Nope A full self serve pot of coffee, fried potatoes, warm early morning. Wish we could have stayed longer

Yummy breakfast and large portions! Solid spot for breakfast/brunch. Inside is very comfortable and there's a dog friendly patio as well. I appreciate the attached parking garage (first floor free for restaurant customers). Staff is very nice. Menu has quite a few options. Tried the green eggs, which has spinach, artichoke, and jack cheese- it's quite filling and savory! Love the potatoes, they are crispy and really hit the spot. Also comes with apple sausage and toast. The fresh orange juice is a must! All in all a reliable place to get some good food.

"Best Burger I've had in Houston" - Hubby Chicken fattoush is straight up gas. I get extra chicken and it's amazing, then I have salad for the next 3 meals! Kyle was very on top of things and made sure we were well taken care of. The carrot cake is always a comfort.

I went to Barnaby's for lunch with my wife. The food was really good. The customer service was great and the food came out pretty quick. We ate outside on their patio. The restaurant was nice and clean from the inside and outside

Not the best first impression. We just recently moved to the area and my husband's family was visiting us. Our party was large. We needed a high chair and we also had an infant in a car carrier... We unfortunately had to experience two locations. The first location we tried had us wait while they continued to seat smaller parties then proceeded to tell us they probably wouldn't be able to accommodate our group. They suggested we go to their other location. We packed everyone up and drove to their other location. The food was good and the service was better. I guess it's just one of those things where we felt a little unwelcome by some of the staff members, especially at the first location. I could be mistaken. The menu has a good selection of different things to try and the ambiance is very unique and cute.

Barnaby's Cafe is a perfect place for post museum eats since its just down the road. Their menu has a great spread of choices and each location has its own unique flare of decor. We elected to get grilled chicken salad of which was able to feed me for another meal too. Look at the picture, its huge! We also got a burger and fries for the baby. I've also tried their falafel salad as well which turned out to be a banger of a meal last time. Their side of fries always comes out in a heap on a plate which I absolutely love. Barnaby's is also very kid friendly too. I guess if you're close to the children's museum, this makes total sense. My baby loves their food so you should too.

This was a great easy cafe dinner option! We sat on the patio on a nice spring night and it was lovely, they even had little lamps at each table which was cute. We split the Mediterranean salad and a burger and it was the perfect amount of food. Our server was helpful with allergies, they have gluten free buns to substitute on the burgers!

I've been wanting to try Barnaby's for a few years now and I finally made my way here with the group of friends. We decided to stop in after our 5K and grab some breakfast. We made it just in time as they stop serving breakfast at 11 AM. I love that this restaurant is dog friendly and that is one of the main reasons I will be back besides the awesome experience I had at this location. We were greeted immediately when we walked in the restaurant by essentially the whole staff everyone was friendly and welcoming. You have the option to sit inside or outside on their patio. Our survey was Bryce very attentive and make sure to follow up on our items as one of our friends wanted to order from the lunch menu so there's a little wait as they have have to turn over from breakfast to lunch. For my entrée I ordered the breakfast plate and subbed a pancake on the side. I had my eggs, scrambled soft with cheddar cheese add in order sausage as my protein. My eggs were clipped to perfection like I like, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the sausage links. I originally ordered grits as a side, but didn't know they were savory so I opted to switch them out with the potatoes and OMG those potatoes are so good. Very crispy and some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. This was a few of our first times here and we have already discussed going back and trying their lunch/dinner menu and bringing our dogs along. If you're looking for quick service in a casual setting, I highly recommend this place. Parking was easy as they have a adjacent parking garage.

Then there's the stuff you get plenty of in any city: pizza, chinese, sandwiches, chicken places, etc. But a real rare gem is ChopnBlok. It's West African cuisine, which is not exactly something you see on every street corner. But more importantly, this food is clearly made with love. It's not cheap: a couple of bowls and a tea comes out to nearly $100 after tip, but you're paying for real quality here. My dad and I both ordered a Golden Bowl and added steak. The steak was the best part. It had this amazing smokey flavor that made me wish I just ordered double steak instead of steak as an add on. I initially visited the ChopnBlok in POST, and was blown away with the flavors, so I've always wanted to come back and try their stand alone spot. If you're a person greatly adverse to spice, just be aware that there are some subtle hints of a kick in this dish, but I found it to be just the right amount: it let you know that it was there, but stayed in its lane.

Overall, while the food was good, the experience did not justify the cost. This will probably be a one-and-done visit for me.

I'd go back to eat baskets of just those biscuits. Highly recommend. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter - it was amazing. The catfish nuggets were crunchy and HOT (temperature), the fries were perfectly seasoned and the hush puppy was a crunch heard around the globe. Sadly, the shrimp and grits arrived to the table at room temp. The flavor was really good, but I was worried to mention the temp issue and have the kitchen nuke them in the microwave. The red beans and rice were similarly room temp and congealed. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely, the service was solid, and on a Tuesday evening we could have walked in and been seated quickly. Overall, it was a nice evening with our friends. Sometimes the company makes up for small disappointments.
