The family still and has always enjoyed Barnes and Noble bookstores. While this is a smaller store, with no cafe; it's a great place. For the love of reading. Every time we come here it's always nice to take home new books and other trinkets. The twins love Barnes and Noble and shared this experience together with me . For now they are grown and after being home schooled they still read! Wow and prefer an actually book . At every turn this bookstore has to use their space wisely and controlled . Although it's small they use the space wisely. The displays are not overly crowded but are more creative. You have to browse and stand around there is not much wiggle room. The selection of books is much smaller than other larger stores. The selections are primarily based on what's popular or perhaps a combination between classic and contemporary books. The children's books for younger readers is smaller too but well stocked. Many small gift are all over the store to tempt and encourage your purchase. The staff is nothing but amazing ! Love, love, love how physical books are becoming a thing! This location provides an ample amount of literature to peruse, and I don't mind the organization. It can get crowded, but that's to be expected for being located in Town Square. Not why I'm giving this Barnes & Noble a high rating though. It's always about the staff for me.... I had ordered books through my Barnes & Noble app for pick-up at this location, since they had the titles I wanted in stock. However, all the titles in stock were in paperback. It only took a day for the location to put my order together, which was nice, and I got the alert on my app and email. At pick-up I look at my ordered stack, and my heart just drops because it really bothers me my set is mismatched. The sales rep looks at me humorously, then my stack, and straight up asked "Is it bothering you that these aren't all paperbacks?" LOL. The hubby laughs, and admits it for me. Instead of making fun of me, she shows her equally nerdy side, empathizing with me! She quickly offers to return the single hardback of my series, and adds my contact information to a list of when my single item gets replenished in the correct form (paperback). Yes! There was more to the conversation, but I just appreciated how intuitive and friendly she was. It's not just her either -- the whole team at this location operate at the same high level of customer service. Again, it's just from my personal observances on multiple visits. I've been reading a lot of Manhwa lately! While my husband and I were shopping at Town Square, we decided to stop by Barnes & Noble after eating a funnel cake from Braud's Funnel Cake Café on a Wednesday evening! This Barnes & Noble location is in Town Square, right next to Town Square Park. The layout of this Barnes & Noble is relatively unique. I'm used to going to Barnes & Noble with a open floor layout. This location has a very efficient and space saving design. It still has all of the different sections like Fantasy, Romance, Adventure and more! There is even a section for toys and a interactive kids area! I found the Manhwa and Manga section inside this Barnes & Noble. There was plenty of comics available from the following Manga: Naruto Jujutsu Kaisen Bleach The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Dragon Ball Z Manhwa: Solo Leveling The Villainess is a Marionette Father, I don't want this marriage There was even some light novels available too! If you're a fan of Studio Ghibli, there is a lot of Totoro themed items at this Barnes and Nobles location! We easily spent an hour inside this store looking at all of the different Manga and Manhwa! It's a great store and the team members at this location are amazing! We had a few team members ask us if we needed any help! read more

This Barnes & Noble location is immaculately clean and flawlessly organized with no toys, books or any merchandise for that matter, out of place. Which makes for easy locating when searching for books. The staff that I encountered throughout the store were pleasantly friendly. The store itself was very busy, but the hard-working staff made sure the lines kept moving expeditiously. So I was in and out in no time. Super excited when we spotted this new location @ Town Square. We stepped in and immediately started browsing. All your favorite sections/genres located here just condensed. This B & N is definitely a nice addition to the area. I am so happy they opened a Barnes and noble in Town Square! The store is definitely the smallest out of all the locations in Vegas but it still has a good book selection. There is a big romance, anime, fantasy, kids books and culture/travel section. There are so many cute toys, board games, stationary, vinyl records. I even got a cute hat that says "Do it for the plot". Great place for getting gifts whether it's book adjacent or an actual book. The pricing is typical of most locations. They have a rewards system that gives you points and some discounts as you reach milestones that you can redeem. The service was great. I had an associate help me locate a number of books and even offer to order a book I wanted that wasn't in store. There are cool seating areas around the shop as well to read a little preview of a book before committing to buying one. I loved they had a pretty big Lego set collection. I took a beginner set home that I have already enjoyed putting together. read more

So grateful to have another bookstore open back up! There is something magical about actually being surrounded by real books, fact, fiction, and all genres! The store is smaller than most bookstores but laid out very well, with something for everyone. They even have a children's corner to inspire purchasing books to read (or be read to) at home, or to take on trips to quietly focus busy minds in need of mental stimulation. What you can't find, ask at the front desk to see if their sister stores (which are larger) may have what you are looking for ( or they may be able to order it online). They also have games, puzzles, and accessories. There are also different membership levels where you can earn points for purchases (free), as well as discounts on products for a yearly fee. If you are an avid reader or have a large family who reads, this may be a good (nominal) investment. I am sure as people shop here their inventory will start to change to reflect what is being purchased or requested. So support this vendor and don't just come here check out a book and then buy it on Amazon because it's a few bucks cheaper. Otherwise this amazing store will close up and go away. read more

Recently opened and happy to have a bookstore at Town Square again. A plethora of books, gifts, puzzles, stuffed animals, puppets and games available here. When we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted. I love they have sections for Halloween to help get us all in the mood. The hand puppets in the back of the store were cool and I found a nice pirate book to enjoy in my leisure. VINYL is also available here, nice section to the left passed the registers when you walk in. The card section had some great ideas for birthdays and other events. Very unique and priced right. Will be back again and again for more books and gifts. read more

Wish they were open longer but I get it they are a chain so it may be out of their control. I didn't even know they opened up a location at town square!! We had dinner and decided to walk around after and strolled in here so happy. We were browsing for only couple minutes when the staff started yelling in the store they were closing soon and to wrap it up. I will def be back and they have a great selection and arrangement. I miss Borders but B&N is a great second-best for chain bookstores in Vegas. I'm so glad they added another location, since their Best in the West location is a far shot from being the best of anything. The staff at this location are very helpful and friendly, and they offer great local and online recommendations for folks looking for used and vintage books no longer in print. This store is pretty small in both space and inventory, but my main issue is that it's not very accessible for folks with disabilities because there are so few places to sit down and rest. I get that the rent in Town Square is too high for this location to afford to add a coffee shop... but could we please have more chairs for accessibility (and maybe also a couple of tables for us to sit down and work or shop for items on our phones)? The maze-like structure and lack of seating makes it clear that the store is designed to hustle customers out as soon as possible, and I hate that feeling. Happy to stop in, but the Stephanie location is still my favourite. read more

When I was a new Yelper back in 2011 and 2012, my Yelp reviews on the Sahara at Decatur Border's, Henderson Border's, and Maryland Parkway Barnes & Noble were witness to three major book retailers diminishing from the Las Vegas bookstore landscape. It would take at least twelve years for Barnes & Noble to open a brand new Las Vegas store. On Monday, September 9, 2024; I drove to Town Square to check it out.     Unfortunately, the newest Barnes & Noble was a disappointment. This is a small store, not much bigger than a defunct Walden Books and B-Dalton.The customary cafe serving Starbucks, pastries, and more delicacies while providing seating for customers to become acquainted with a book while in a relaxed state, is nonexistent. The same goes for the magazine section unless it was so small I missed it and sofas presence. To my eyes, the printed book is in serious competition with the Internet. To draw people to want to buy a book, the bookstore needs the third place amenity of an inviting Cafe area and sofas. Without them, they loose the magic. Yes, some people will read their books without paying. On the other hand, the majority of customers will become acquainted with a well-written book or a periodical while seated in the cozy environment of a café, while most likely supporting the business with a café purchase, and ultimately leave the store making a purchase.     The brand new Town Square location is so small that they carry a limited selection of books and maps in comparison to their Henderson outpost. It is so small that it lacks the recognition of their signature big box stores. It took me twenty minutes walking around Town Square to find the tucked in location across from the southeast corner of Town Square Park. Ironically, it was the enemy of physical books, the Internet, that finally led me here through Google Maps directions. To give you a perspective of how much of a downsize this Barnes & Noble is, is to take a short walk to the Container Store. This used to be a busy Border's that had shelves of books, music, an expansive Cafe, and entertainment.    From my first visit here, one of the improvements was that the corny interior showcasing men from the 1800s had been replaced with a modern and bright interior. Inside, near the front, I saw a downsized records and CD sections that were a shadow of the big box store CD room. On the contrary, there were shelves of Lego merchandised in the shadow of bookshelves. Unlike Walmart for example, their Legos were not locked up or covered in spider wrap. As Barnes & Noble moves into the future, I see Lego and other toys playing a larger roll in the product mix. This could be a niche that draws more people to the store.   Speaking of people, on opening week they had a sufficient number of Associates working. They were friendly. As far as the value of the products they sell, I feel that paperback books purchasing went downhill in the 1990s when publishers raised their prices uphill in the name of changing them from a square shape to fancier with more pictures. That could be a factor that eventually led to the crash of the bookstore. Barnes & Noble, the way I see it, is competitive with pricing in an industry where publishers appear to set the prices.    I am a fan of the big box Barnes & Noble not the downsized version. However, since I am a fan of books, I am rooting for the newest Barnes & Noble to be so successful that they eventually move into a larger Town Square location with a cafe. read more

I was super excited to step into this Barnes and Nobles book are everything and should be celebrated, read and shared!!!! The store is relatively brand new and was packed and it felt good to be around fellow book enthusiasts. It's bright and spacious enough to paruse the aisles and sections without feeling on top of each other. Staff is friendly and supper helpful. I was able to pick up a few specialty cards and beautiful notebooks. Make having access to all kinds of books great again. The world is nothing without knowledge and books offer that. They definitely have some a few books at really great price points. I encourage anyone to check them out!!!!! read more

Great place to go if you want to get in some quiet reading time or some down time in the midst of Sin City. Sooo soo happy they opened a Barnes and Noble inside townsquare. Though the bookstore is smaller than some of their other locations, they still manage to pack in a ton of books in a wide variety of genres and topics. They even managed to put in a small kids area to read! In this era of online buying i still appreciate browsing physical shelves of books and feeling the pages in my hands. I will always buy physical copies of books. You can always bring a book to coffee bean and tea leaf which is just steps away to grab a cup of coffee and plop yourself on a bench nearby reading your favorite book. read more

The store itself is beautiful and clean. However, it's small. I wish they would have taken both floors as this barnes is missing a cafe and most importantly chairs/study areas. As a student Barnes is my favorite place to study but I was so sad to see I would have to continue traveling to a further store. I have so much hope for it but an expansion is necessary read more

We went thinking this would be a great spot to study and do research, not a single table or chair for customers? Free WiFi for what exactly?? No book groups here kids...while the selection may be nice and the location central this isn't conducive for a meeting, or a date, or anything related to studying. I'm so disappointed! We have needed an upgrade for so long here in Vegas and they don't even want us to be there in the store? It's very odd. read more

The new B&N on Las Vegas may be a very good addition, but I found parking near the store nearly impossible UNLESS you want to use a credit card. The one on Stephanie St. or the one on Rainbow have huge parking lots available. Even though the LV Blvd is a lot handier to me I will not be going there. Why pay to go spend money? read more

A new bookstore, exciting! However, the aisles are very small, even on a Tuesday afternoon I felt like I was constantly bumping into people. Also, the disrespect for Sci-fi Fantasy section is real. In the B & N on Stephanie, that section is huge. This store it was literally one of the smallest sections in the whole store, even the LEGO and board game sections were bigger?!? Very disappointing as I'm sure nerds are one of the biggest appreciators of physical books. read more
