Large store with huge selection. If you love the spell of fresh pages this is the place for you. I didn't even smell coffee. Lots of selection and cool non book items to peruse through. We didn't find the specific book volume we were looking for but there were so much staff walking around and super helpful and attentive. I thought pricing was ok. It seems bookstores are a thing of the past. Yet I still see Barnes and Nobles at a few malls. And it was quite busy. Coffee shop inside with helpful staff. They had a larger anime section than most Barnes and Nobles I have been to. I signed up for their loyalty program last time but they couldn't find me in the system which was disappointing. Finding a Barnes and Noble these days feels like hunting for dinosaurs nowadays...this place was stunning! They had an amazing selection of books, journals, office supplies, there's a big Starbucks on the first floor, and they have a massive second story of BOOKS! Definitely worth a walk around the store, maybe I'm weird and love the smell of a book haha read more

I've always valued the enthusiastic service at this bookstore, where staff once looked at other locations for books not in stock. Unfortunately, my experience today fell short. When I asked an employee on the second floor about an EKG book, she walked six feet ahead of me, facing away, talking loudly but making it impossible for me to hear her clearly. To that staff member, I kindly suggest engaging more directly and courteously with customers to maintain the store's welcoming reputation. read more

I love this store. You have a coffee shop with pastries and a sitting area. You can take your coffee with you to walk around and look at the MANY books and magazines. They do have seating areas for you to read the books to see which ones you want. They have great sales. If you need a book they don't have they will order it for you. Their is staff throughout the store for when you need help, so you don't have to go looking for someone because they are around when you need them. It's a nice quite place to go sit with friends and have coffee or meet up and study. All of the book stores are closing. I'm thankful they still have this one. The coffee bar is always crowded. Floor staff were actively trying not to help customers and both people in the Starbucks kept messing up several customer orders. I love walking into bookstores and getting lost in a great read. This two-story B&N is located in the Woodlands Mall across from PF Changs. The kids area is on the 2nd floor and a Starbucks on the first floor. I came in to buy Kumon books and learning activity books for the boys. There's lots to choose from. You can also find board games and toys so if you're shopping for a child's birthday gift this is a great place to stop. The floor to ceiling windows on the 2nd floor invites fabulous sunlight. You'll also find comfy lounge chairs in front of the windows so you can sit, enjoy your coffee, read, and absorb the view. It's a cozy quiet spot when it's overcast and raining. Drizzle, drizzle. A yearly membership costs $25 so if you're a regular shopper get it so you can save 10 percent on every purchase. I use to have one when I was a frequent shopper and it was worth it. I find that my online reading is not as enjoyable as my old timey books. Overall a wonderful place to come in and find almost anything. read more

It was a really good bookstore I loved they have a kids area manga fiction nonfiction children's books etc they have some dnd stuff toys and more but I was kinda sad that I could not find Naruto or some other books so that's my only complaint they did have a good selection of books which I loved so I would recommend this place really. read more

It's been a long time since I've been to a new bookstore. Barnes & Noble is huge and offers a great selection of all kinds of books. Parking at the mall is kind of a hassle, but worth it. Today we were shopping for graphic novels for my almost eight year old girl. The children's section was expansive and very nicely organized. There are two columns of graphic novels, the best selection I've found so far. My girls were very excited to see an escalator in the store, as they've never been on one before. (There is also an elevator, my six year old wanted to be sure to point that out). Check out had a fairly long line but there were many cashiers open and we breezed through the line quickly. I was disappointed that neither of the two books we bought had any discount, I had to pay full list price. Hopefully the rewards program will help with getting some discounts in the future. read more

I was sitting by the window, reading a book while I waited for my daughter to finalize her purchases. I was not aware that I wasn't allowed to sit. An employee approached me and LOUDLY chastised me for sitting. She spoke to me in a condescending voice instead of politely asking to to stand. My daughter was three rows over and heard her. A few minutes later my daughter, age 12, not knowing that the employee was speaking to me, said "I felt sorry for the person that employee was talking to." We put our books back and left the store. Very friendly staff, lots of books, and lots of space! Just the way I like it. We had actually been looking for a book all over Houston, and to our surprise this is the only one that carried it. We even went to Border's! It's an older book, and it seems they don't really keep many copies of them. I am impressed with the fact that we called 4 Barnes and Noble and they all picked up the phone! This is a nice, big, and beautiful Barnes & Noble, and quite a step up from it's old Woodlands location near Target. It had all the right sections in all the familiar places, and with a lot of busy happy energy. I particularly liked the large magazine section, the Nook desk, the local Texas book selections, and the friendly folks working here. It was kind of strange to be browsing through various magazines that were describing ipad2 apps, since digital delivery of this information might be better. Then came the Talking Heads moment - "My G-d, What Have I Done?". When little old me starts wishing for the electronic magazine instead of the paper one, our bookstore society is on a slippery slope. I am a Barnes and Noble member. I probably won't be for much longer. The cost of the annual membership is $25.00. However, with the discounts that you can find online now, it really isn't worth the money any longer. As far as this particular location, the parking is atrocious. Finding a place to park at The Woodlands Mall is bad. Finding a place close to BN is next to impossible. With that, they did save a book for me that the Baybrook store did not have. They had already grabbed it and put it behind the counter when I got there so for that, I gave them an extra star. Oh, wait...did I mention the parking? It's HORRIBLE. read more

Had a bad experience at this Barnes & Noble yesterday, May 1st, with an employee named Howard. He wrongly accused my cousin & I of misplacing a vinyl record. Yelled at us & then realized he was wrong but continued to say people always misplace them. Made us feel he took it out on us because we are latinas. We decided to leave & not shop there. He went on and encouraged me to file a complaint. My suggestion is that Barnes & Noble not hire people like him. He clearly hates his job. read more

Not many bookstores left, but hopefully this wonderful 2-story B&N will be around for a longtime. It is conveniently located right next to The Woodlands mall near Urban Outfitters and PF Changs. Although parking is a major concern right now, the good news is they are currently building parking garages within walking distance of these stores. This should definitely make it easier in the future to find a parking spot. B&N has a great travel section - both domestic and international. Also, lots of magazines that you cannot find anywhere else. This is always a fun and friendly store to shop! read more

I really enjoy going to Barnes & Nobles (or any bookstore). There is still something to be said about picking up a fresh book, opening it up for the first time, and discovering what's inside... :) This location is huge. There is a Starbucks located within the store. It's great to grab a coffee or Chai and then get lost for hours browsing through their vast selection of books. The only complaint I have with this location is the parking! It's like hamster in the wheel when you try to find a parking spot to be near the bookstore! = ( A great place to chill...a great place to read/study and to acquire knowledge. read more

Book store is great but the Starbucks is the dirtiest I've ever seen. Clearly the staff aren't at all interested in cleaning and practicing basic hygiene. The counter was filthy and the top of the condiment area was covered with spilt fluids, sugars with them trash can overflowing. Basic stuff the staff should have addressed every 30-60 minutes. Shame because the concept of having a decent coffee while reading a book is awesome. But if the poor hygiene, over flowing trash cans, dirty floor and counter tops is at the front of the store I don't want to think what the kitchen/food preparation area looks like. Ultimately would suggest spending your money elsewhere. We won't be going back and instead will go somewhere else for our regular coffee and book fix. read more

Wonderful location, lots of variety, clean and well stocked, Starbucks attached but sometimes the line can be long. I love that I can pop in after shopping at the mall. They have lots of clearance tables and aisles. Great children's section with books and toys. A good variety of games and puzzles, but I think you can get better prices online through other retailers. The major annoyance for me is the long line at Starbucks and the line for purchasing books. All in all, I'm happy to have this Barnes and Noble. read more

Ok so help and friendliness depends on who you meet. Just one girl was rude. I ordered online to pick up in store. One item was cancelled before I showed up, four were confirmed for pick up. When I arrived 3/4 books were incorrect. They did fix a couple and never could find the fourth book even though they said it was in stock. At checkout, they couldn't give me a receipt. The guy was nice and apologetic but the girl acted like how dare I have the audacity to ask for a receipt. Rude. Honestly, the selection is limited, and very few hardcover items. In stock is incorrect online. Be careful for pick up in store. read more

I love a good bookstore. Anything that takes on the behemoth that is Amazon, I fully support. This is one of my favorite Barnes & Noble locations. It is two stories packed with so much adventure around every corner. I could get lost in here for hours. I do wish that their employees were a bit more forward in inquiring if assistance is needed. No matter. I typically am able to find what I am looking for without any help. The location is great as it is part of the Woodlands Mall complex. There is plenty of parking thanks to a semi new parking garage built right next door. The store is always in good shape and orderly. While I have a Barnes & Noble location closer to where I live, I find the drive over to be worth it as this location typically stocks products not found at other locations. I like having the convenience of a Starbucks inside though I typically do not partake. Options. It makes me sad that more and more bookstores are folding. I sure do hope that this one sticks around. read more
