We hired Barnett Roofing to replace our existing cement tile roof due to the builder cheaping out on the underlayment amount and quality. This was a huge project with our roof having 17 valleys which required extensive planning and precision installation. The total job cost was in the six-figures. We could not be happier with the outcome. Chris Barnett and Blake Cox were consummate professionals not only leading up to and throughout the job, but afterwards as well. We had some issues relating to the gutters, which were not related to the re-roof itself, but Chris and Blake wanted to make sure that everything worked perfectly and so paid us a visit a few more times after the job was complete and made absolutely sure that the roof channeled water in perfect coordination with the gutter system. I have worked with many roofers throughout my career in property management and Barnett Roofing is the absolute best of them. I found them via their outstanding reviews here and so thought I should complete the loop and make sure that others know what my experience has been. Just an update, I did need their service because the initial company did not complete their job at all. The leak was still active and this other company wanted to charge me again for their incompetence, so I hired Barnett Roofing and I'm so glad I did. They did a great job and truly solved the issue. Although I hope I won't need their services until I replace our roof in the very far future, it's a relief to know I have a trusted company to go to if a leak or other issue arises. When you're new to home ownership, you rely on others to provide reliable references. I lucked out since my realtor recommended Barnett Roofing to reseal and paint all the flashings and install a new chimney cap. From the beginning, Blake was relaxing to deal with handling any questions or concerns on the estimate assessment and work entailed. Granted, this was not a big job in the world of roofing. For instance Chris personally checked in, resolved problems rapidly. They delivered exactly what I needed. We had a lot of termite damage with a replacement of 27 rafters. They removed them and replaced with 4 ft sections and sister-ed them to the unaffected portion of the rafter. After the sign off of the underlayment, the roof went up rapidly. I called Barnett Roofing to repair an area of my roof that was causing a leak in my living room, and a separate section of the roof that was causing a leak to my master bedroom. I have one of those tall and skinny homes near the beach, and there are a bunch of different roof sections that go in many different directions. Not an easy job! I liked the fact that the guys took the time to really figure out where the leaks were coming from. I thought it was coming from a lower section, but they were able to show to me that the water was actually coming in from a higher section of the roof. Worked with Blake on what I thought was a simple wood trim/facia board replacement with minor roof repairs that evolved into a roof upgrade with additional foam insulation as well as new facia boards. Our pool house facia boards and roof were in need of attention so we brought Blake out on a referral. He answered all of our questions and offered great advice and insight. He proposed a solution with several options on how we could fix the structure but also went above and beyond to recommend additional options that would reduce the temperature within the structure as well as reduce the energy needed to keep it cool. This was an idea I had in the back of my mind but was delighted when it was presented as an option without having to ask for it.
