I had a great experience with KLC roofing. We had a complicated roof leak and our previous roofer dropped the ball and messed up the repair. So I called a few other roofers to come and bid on the project. Kenny Jr came out and quickly detected the issue and gave me a detailed project plan. I decided to go with KLC mostly because I found Kenny to be very reliable and knowledgeable. Him and his team worked with me through this complicated project that involved some wood repair by them, re-stuccoing by my contractor, and them coming back to finish and seal the roof. I had a lot of anxiety about the project but Kenny's diligence amd collaborative spirit made it all go so smoothly. The office (Elsa) is also great and very flexible, making sure that the project works well with my schedule. After the repair was done, we did some water test, but saw some water inside. Kenny came back to inspect and found that its not the roof leaking, but the chimney wall, which he fixed right then and there. We water tested again and no leak :) I have worked with a lot of contractors, but KLC is definitely top tier in terms of reliability, attention to details, flexibility, and diligence. KLC repaired a leak in my concrete tile roof. Kenny came out and gave me a preliminary estimate for the repair. He explained that the team would have to pull up some of the tiles on the roof and take a closer look before they could be sure what the problem was. KLC got me on the schedule promptly and a two-man team did the work a few days later. Kenny came out in person to explain that none of the concrete tiles were damaged. The seam between two parts of the roof had collected a lot of fine debris allowing water to collect and eventually seep under the tiles. The team removed the tiles surrounding the problem, replaced the underlayment paper with a better-quality version, widened the seam to prevent future debris buildup, and replaced the tiles. They completed the work in about 5 hours including cleanup. They let me mail them a check as payment, and they did the job for the estimated amount. I will use KLC Construction in the future. Fascia board replacement due to termite damage. We had consultation with multiple vendors to get a range of quotes. Cost wise the quotes came back comparable to each other but Kenny's knowledge and ability to explain the correct way to do the job made KLC the obvious pick. During the estimate job walk Kenny was able to explain in detail what others didn't even know, from the condition of roof to what the correct procedure was to replace the fascia boards on the flat vs slapped parts of the roof. The work was carried out in 2 days and overall a pleasant easy experience. During construction Kenny's team were professional and did a great job, Kenny checked in periodically and we are very happy with the results. They have been very thorough with their inspections and have always come up with good solutions, at a fair price, to my problems. Staff: Elsa at the office was very friendly. Ken jr. came out to inspect our house. He provided details of our roofing options and agreed to send us a quote. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and offered no pressure at all. Value: The price came in a tad higher than the one we got from our solar company that required the reroof as part of our solar installation. However, after sharing this with them, they were kind enough to match the price. We decided to go forward with KLS. They are a recommended by our insurance company referral program which gave us additional confidence, along with their high Yelp reviews, so the decision was easy. Quality: The quality of the work was very good. They replaced our nearly 20 year old roof with a new comp shingle roof with cooling tech. All of the flashings and vent pipes were painted black to match the roof. They also upgraded our old school turbine attic vents to low profile vents to give a more modern look. Overall: We were very pleased with the work. There was a small hiccup, when the roof was removed and it unexpectedly rained, which resulted in a small amount of water intrusion into the garage. Once I alerted Elsa in the office, she was very apologetic, and offered to address any type of damage to contents. Fortunately, there was no damage of any kind. We got a notice of non-renewal from our homeowner's insurance due to some staining on the flat part of our roof. Kenny Jr. inspected the roof and found some cracking and evidence of water pooling. He said the roof did not need to be replaced and recommended a repair and silicone coating. It was all done quickly and they provided photos of the work along with a letter explaining the work they did. I provided all of this to the insurance company and they renewed our insurance! Whew! We had a leak coming through an upstairs side window (no visible wall leaks). Kenny Jr. came out, climbed up to the roof to inspect the area, and we even 'tested' to rule out the window being the problem. He was great to work with, provided a reasonable quote for the work that needed to be done (vs. other roofers tried to upsell us with additional 'inspection' or entire roof repair), and was able to get us scheduled rather quickly with Dario. It rained once after the roof was repaired. So far, no leaks. Should there be one, they offer a 1-year warranty and Kenny also said 'call me'. HONEST & PROFESSIONAL STAFF & COMPANY!! 8 months ago, KLC came out to provide an estimate for some leaks we had. They were not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Their estimate felt honest, like they knew what they were talking about and not trying to upsell us for things we didn't need. They got the job and did the repairs. With the latest rain, none of their areas leaked, however, we had a new one. We called and Ken Jr. came out to check it out. He fixed the latest leak at no charge cause he said they should have caught it the last time as it was near the previous leak. WOW- talk about honesty and professionalism as I would not have known and would have paid to have it fixed. We have needed to replace our roof for a long time. Built in 1928, it's a Spanish style with a flat roof on the garage and main house. We had been patching it for years when I decided it was time and before the next rainy season. I needed peace of mind to not have to worry about 'when the next leak was going to happen.' So I had Ken Jr. (and 6 other companies) come out and give us a quote. That piece of mind started as soon as he came to the house. We were thinking we needed to have the paper and tile replaced on the sides as well but they said it really wasn't necessary and gave us options to choose. I own a property in Huntington Beach. During the heavy rains in 2023 my property had a leak. KLC Construction went to the property right away to determine where the leak was coming from. Due to the way the property was constructed a unit on the 2nd floor had a balcony that had standing water due to a gutter issue. KLC Construction was able to let me know the problem and literally fixed it immediately with no charge because he said it was the right thing to do and was a quick fix. We were very pleased with our experience with this company. The inspection process offered us a lot of information on the condition of the roof. I really appreciated that they used a drone to inspect the roof so they didn't break any tiles in the inspection process. To be able to see the problem areas from the drone pictures made it so much easier for us to understand why they suggested the repair work. The Foreman, Kenny, was very helpful in explaining the issues we needed to consider and wasn't a hard salesman at all - just offered the information and very willing to answer all our questions. No pressure sales what-so- ever. When we received the proposal/estimated cost for the work, we felt it was fair for what they needed to do. We went ahead with the work and were very impressed with the workers that came. We were also shocked that they were so honest and told us that they didn't need to do as much work as they estimated on the proposal so they gave us a substantial discount on our final bill.
