We are the original owners of a single story concrete tiled home bought new in 1984. We have had two minor repairs in that time but we had a recent leak. I called a roofing company that I found on YELP that had all 5 star reviews. Their representative came out and I told him about our leak, hoping it could be repaired but wondering if it needed replacing. As soon as I told him the roof was over 40 years old, he said it had to be replaced. He flew his drone above our home and from that he determined how many roofing squares were needed. He gave a quote on the spot and then spent the next 15 minutes or more talking about his family situation. I then called Hercules Roofing. I told their representative, Alon, the same story I told the first company. He said there was no way to be sure unless he inspected it. He asked permission to go into the attic to see where the leak is and also look around? I said sure. He spent the next 45 minutes surveying all areas inside the attic. Once he came out, he said we actually had several areas of prior leaks but that no other ones had penetrated to do damage to our ceiling. I then stuck my head into the attic and he showed me some of those wet areas. All the while, I was thinking that Alon was treating my home as though it was his. I thought of the difference between these two representatives as night and day. His quote was similar to the first quote but I did not wait to get a third quote. My wife and I agreed right then to go with them and we are so happy that he did. The contract stipulated that they would give us an allowance for the plywood that needed replacing as well as an allowance for any tiles that would need replacing. The allowance was very generous and we did not incur any additional expense over what was quoted. I researched the materials in the contract they would be using and they were all top of the line. Their Workmanship warranty is for 10 years with 30 years on the Manufacturer's materials. They stated they would be done in 3 to 5 days and they were. They worked long hours each day and after they were done, they left our property just like no work had even been done. I got a quote from a few different companies to replace and repair some damaged wood as well as a couple of rake tiles that fell off the side of the house. They actually showed up for their quote on time and didn't flake on me like another 5 star roofer listed. Danny was extremely polite and walked me through all their services (tile replacement, gutter cleanout, flashing / sealants), costs, etc. On the day of the service they would notify me how far out they were and what time I could expect them. I thought this was going to be a wonderful relationship somebody that I could refer to other people but it hasn't worked out that way I called for some repairs that needed to be done from the workmanship that was done a couple years ago Ben was supposed to come out no show no call their follow up is not good so I'm having to pay a couple thousand dollars additional to get the roof in order so I can complete my loan. A leak revealed itself after recent rain storm - I contacted Hercules Roofing for an inspection. Eli showed up as scheduled, inspected the roof (both in-person and with the use of a drone) and found my roof had 32 broken tiles, gaps around flashing, and drain valley's that were holding debris. He thoroughly explained all concerns with the status of my roof, developed repair plans and provided me with options, discussed the pricing (which was absolutely reasonable) and coordinated next day service. I requested some additional bird stops installed in some exposed tile end caps which will be completed within the week as well. Of all the roofing companies, Hercules and Daniel were by far the most responsive. Half the time, roofers don't call back, respond slowly, or slow up super late. I had a few leaks on some flat parts of my roof and another on the pitch, and called for a repair quote. Daniel was very professional and genuine. He wasn't cheesy and was super patient with my questions. He might've been the most thorough with his inspection and proposal.
