We are on the "do not mail" list and as a result hardly get any junk mail which is nice. When we do get something from a company, I email them, they apologize and remove us. The only others are the real estate scammers and those people play by their own rules (which is why their yelp reviews are awful). Then there's this place. Sending junk mail to my house - I emailed and them and started off with "we're on the do not mail list" - their junk mail is addressed to us (not resident) to our address meaning they got our name off some list and are sending this to us. His response was "you should sign up for the do not mail list (completely ignoring the first sentence of my email) and you have to pay a fee - also contact your local post office." Refuses to remove us from his junk mail list - and is telling me to sign up for the list I told him I was already on ("and you'll have to pay a fee!" - yeah, I paid the fee so scammers like you wouldn't send junk to my house) and telling me to contact my local post office. What does contacting my local post office do? They will tell me to contact these shysters to get off their list. I gave this guy every chance to remove us and just kept repeating "contact the do not mail list." So let's be clear - these people think if they keep sending their junk mail to our house, we'll give in and use their "service." This is as unethical as it gets. There are tons of great plumbing and heating services out there folks. An honest company says "let's get you off our list ASAP." A dishonest company ignores your email and tells you to contact the post office. It's such a simple thing to do, yet they won't. But don't take it from me - read the other reviews here. Not a good sign, is it? I love yelp and the good it does informing customers. Now the guy is going to respond and tell me what a bad person I am or how great his company is or some lame response. Biggest regret in years was allowing (and trusting) Pete Levi to address my HVAC needs. The degree to which this company has damaged my townhouse and bankrupted me to add an HVAC system that was too big for my minimal home needs to be mentioned. They recommended an HVAC system that, after 4 years, broke because it was too strong/too much/larger than the current A/C conduit could tolerate. So, after taking on that $16,000 plus "deal" they said they were giving me for this "bigger than what you need" HVAC, I now have a $3600 bill to install a new conduit line large enough. This line was drilled into the outer wall of my unit. Though not thrilled with an exterior line, I was told the conduit would be encased in a clean, simple boxed cover. Well, the technician covered the conduit with obnoxious-looking sheet metal, piecemeal style, duct taped together (the tape was literally degrading after one week of our summer exposure). This was not the scenario we discussed. So Jose technician returned and reinstalled a covering by unscrewing the sheet metal and drilling new holes for the box cover and never filling in the drill holes he made to the stucco with the initial sheet metal cover. And guess who has major Winter water intrusion and damage to her property now... Peter Levi is literally gonna bankrupt me. read more

Hi Peter, I am a member, booked garbage disposal replacement through your office. I asked for cost but your scheduler advised cannot provide cost estimate. Your technician came, did a nice job replacing the unit but cost was $795! Before starting work, he did advise me of cost, mentioned job takes a hour to complete, and on cost you guys are probably middle of line. I later checked the price of a brand unit garbage disposal (standard Badger 1/2 Gallon) is $120-$145. Paying $650 an hour for labor is excessive. I will be hesitant to use your services for work other than regulator maintenance in the future. To summarize; nice job on quality of work but very high on price. read more

Job done was overall decent. But I think $5300+ for a new water heater and its installation was far too expensive. My old water heater had failed so this was the first time I encountered this problem. I wasn't quite sure if the price was right but went on with it anyways because I urgently needed hot water. After the fact, I called a few local places and most of them quoted me $3000 tops for the same job and water heater. The crew from Peter Levi came to replace our HVAC ductwork. They came to do the job within two days. The day before the install, a crewmember came out and took measurements so they could plan to have all ductwork ready when they arrived. The crew arrived around 8 o'clock and was finished by 4:30 PM. They were very professional and kept everything very clean. They took lots of pictures before and after. Part of the cost included rodent abatement, which meant someone came and cleared out the area and sealed off under the house to prevent more rodents from entering. A cautionary tale about Peter Levi: the technician and company are predatory and tried to take advantage of my wife. During the latest heat wave, our blower motor and capacitor went out in our central air system. Peter Levi was the first company that could respond, so we chose them. The technician determined the problem and then lied to my wife, telling her the whole system was shot and needed to be replaced, as well as the ducting in our home. All this for a mere $30,000 to $40,000. Once my wife called me at work, I explained what I believed the problem to be (I was correct about the motor). I had her ask for a quote to repair the motor and capacitor. The technician told her they would fail if we replaced the broken parts. He then used other scare tactics, like telling her the broken motor was pulling 11 amps instead of 3. My wife asked again for a quote to repair the two parts. The technician explained he would need to get approval from his manager because they don't usually repair parts on systems as old as ours. He ultimately provided the requested estimate for $2149.25, with the final statement that they probably couldn't find the part because the system is from 1982. Cleaning the blower wheel was $443!! They would have to remove the blower wheel to perform the repair anyway. Cleaning the wheel with a garden hose took 3 minutes. I guess these folks have never heard of Google. A quick check proved they were price-gouging my wife. The following company we called did the job for $660.00. They do not usually work in Vacaville, so I am not mentioning them here. I also had the unnamed company provide a quote for an entire system replacement, and the estimate was $14,000 to $15,200. Only use this company if you like being taken advantage of and paying too much for services. read more

October 4,2023 sewer inspection they say pipes are no longer connected. we will have to dig up the front yard. we can be here Wednesday 10/11/23. "ok". Wednesday comes and by lunch time nobody show up. I call contractor Roger, he says no one is there? I will call you back. office calls me back says there was a miscommunication they were coming the next week. then they say that they are coming 10/12/23. ok. the different utility companies had already done their flags and spray paint markers. so Thursday they started digging approximately 6 feet Down and 2-3 feet into my lawn. jack hammered my cement mow strip out. then they can't finish because they don't have the right par. a different worker comes Friday the 13th to complete. now waiting for inspector from the city. one week later not a word. they say they are waiting when I called them and they would call back no call came I called city inspector they don't have a completed permit to even start the job this is now 10/23/23. Not good won't be using them in the future. They are having problems since being bought out. read more

Do not hire Peter Levi plumbing for ANYTHING! I hired them to repair a leak in my master bath drain. They had to cut the ceiling to find the leak and do the repair. Jordan came completely unprepared. This was a ceiling repair and he did not have a ladder or tarp to cover the floor. He did not have the correct parts and he had to go out twice and get more parts. When we tested the repair, it was leaking. Jordan said he forgot to tighten something. When I went to close the bathtub drain, the lever on the overflow did not work. Jordan said sometimes they don't work. And he just looked at me. I told him I have no way to plug the bathtub and that was unacceptable. He went out and got a plastic manual plug. I told him that was unacceptable. He said he had another call and what did I want to do... Did I want a discount on the service? I had to order a longer plunger arm and fix that myself. Jordan had scratched the tub in several places and gouged down to the base of tub around the drain. When a guy came out to repair the ceiling, he took one look at the plumbing, and said this is not to code... Peter Levi kept explaining that it was correct. There were multiple problems including parts not glued an exorbitant amount of putty coming from the drain in the tub with the gasket upside down. They also used a 1 1/4 inch P-trap, which the minimum size for a bathtub drain is 1 1/2 inches. After putting in a review with BBB, I was told that Peter levi has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and they did fully refund the money I paid them. read more

I had a very expensive whole house water filter system installed. After it was installed, I had a handyman tell me it wasn't installed to code. I brought this to the attention of Peter Levi and they corrected the situation after much discussion with them. Then, it came time to service the sediment filter and they can't find the proper wrench to remove the canister--and they can't purchase a filter until they get this wrench! I've contacted the manufacturer of the water filter system and they said that they will only deal with Peter Levi. Very frustrating and disappointed, particularly after I spoke with management about this. I'd like to properly maintain this system but so far I've not gotten anyone to deal with this! read more

Just an awful company. Dealing with a nightmare getting our heater fixed that they installed barely 1 year ago. They came out to try and fix it by disarming our alarm & telling us that it works but we have to constantly check it for leaks - Not an actual fix! They said they could replace the part they disarmed, came back another week and a half later to do it. Less than 12 hours later, heater was leaking all over. We saw that the technician didn't even secure the pipes correctly, so they had fallen out of place and we're leaking. Called and got scheduled for an appointment almost a week later with no time window, then on the morning of, they cancelled with no explanation. Apparently if you accuse them of doing something wrong, they only allow you to schedule with the technician who messed up in the first place. Now we theoretically have an appointment almost 2 weeks after the improper installation, if they don't cancel again! Will always tell folks to stay FAR away from Peter Levi, and can't wait to stop working with them! read more

We had a faucet leak and Peter Levi was available to come check it out. They said we need a new faucet and emergency valve. Ok that's fine. They said they had the parts on them. Also ok. We had already checked out some faucets at Home Depot suspecting this would be the case. He shows me the faucet and the brand. I assume it will be a few hundred dollars like I've seen around. They did quick work of it. Then I look at the itemized receipt and they charged me $1,185 for a Moen Arbor kitchen faucet with supply lines! Supply lines are like $15 and this faucet online is available for $450 at most. I was charged a total of $1,671.50 to replace the faucet and emergency valve. The emergency valve pricing looks in line but I was already ripped off with the faucet and feel like my trust has been violated. Highly recommend you go elsewhere for your plumbing needs. read more

We had an old kitchen faucet being replaced that another company service tech just couldn't get out and basically abandoned us with a partially removed/unusable faucet. Called Peter Levi late the next morning and was immediately put on the call list for asap. Within an hour, we had an appointment set up for that afternoon. Brandon came on time and was fantastic! Quickly assessed the situation and put us at ease, having that faucet out in minutes. We were so impressed with his professionalism and skills, enquired about a few other small jobs. He did them all! In about an hour, he completed the removal, installed the new faucet, replaced the leaking cut off valves, and replaced our leaking tub cartridge that was on our 'to do' list. We also got info on other jobs we were thinking of and our neighbor even swung by to get a card for some repair work he needed. While I had some difficulties with the schedulers the two gentlemen, Bill and Colby that came out to do the servicing were professional, kind and efficient. They didn't scold me for my lack of upkeep on my equipment or push too hard on additional services. They made me aware of some programs and additional work that could be done but they weren't aggressive. They were absolutely useless and this type of last minute delay is unacceptable. We had them come out to try to fix my washing machine since it was flooding during each use. They snaked our pipes and said that it seemed fine but we should consider hydro jetting. They also mentioned our pipes were old so when I asked if there was a risk to the hydro jetting bursting our pipes they didn't answer it and stated again that the hydro jetting would clear the pipes. They quoted us over $3000 for the hydro jetting. The first visit didn't fix our washing machine. They came out a second time to check the vent for our plumbing and also our A/C system. They said we need to clean out our A/C system and that the vent was fine. The man who checked our vent was also very stand offish and said the vents would rarely have any issues ever in the 10 years he was a plumber. We got a second opinion due to the amount of money they wanted us to spend and the fact that each time they came out nothing actually got fixed. A plumber from a different company checked our vent again, unclogged it- and FINALLY our washing machine works. They had also kept calling us to offer other services but didn't even resolve our first issue.
