    Southwest Egg Rolls
    Sheila N.

Was looking for a spot to grab dinner with family after a Spring Training game at Salt River Fields. My cousin had been here before and mentioned the food and drinks were solid, so we had to check it out! The space is a cool mix of industrial-chic with a massive wine wall, a great patio, and a stage for live music. They also have a ton of TVs inside and outside if you come to watch a game. We were seated after a short wait, and took a few minutes decide on our choices-even though the #YEShusband and I had already been checking out the menu on our way over. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Great place for excellent food, service, ambiance, watching sports, and indoor/outdoor options. Huge patio with fire pits and TVs, great views. Whether it's brunch, dinner, or happy hour- food and drink never disappoint! Our server Carter was awesome! She was very attentive and friendly. Location in Scottsdale is nice and easy to get to- right off 101! Definitely be a repeat customer.

Very nice bar! Beautiful place with interesting decor and very good service. Good assortment of drinks and beers. Different food such as fried avocado, too bad it has no real taste whatsoever!

I feel like 3 stars is low but 4 is too high for this place so maybe like a 3.5 is more reasonable. My husband and I came here around 4:30pm on New Year's Day. We had planned to go somewhere else but it was closed so a family member recommended Parlay to us. It was pretty empty--which we expected for 4:30 on NYD. The girl who seated us (who ended up being our server asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. I turned to look at my husband to see if he was good with outside but then she interrupted and said "actually everything is really wet outside." So we sat inside, yet people were seated outside about an hour later... We came mostly for happy hour, but also got other food. Started with a regular margarita on the rocks. She let me know that the blender wasn't on today for blended margaritas. That was fine because I don't like blended margaritas. We ordered the grilled honey bbq wings. They were really good! I would give those 5 stars. My margarita was fine, not bad but nothing spectacular. My husband tried some blueberry type beer or something. He said it was fine and then got something else after. I got a Paloma after the marg and did not care for the Paloma. My husband ordered a burger medium rare (knowing it would t actually come out medium rare) it was medium. He said it was just a regular burger. I snagged a couple of his French fries and I thought they were interesting. They are flat so they are kind of crispy which I liked. I ordered the chicken tacos. I ordered them on corn tortillas which I was told is an up-charge. I think it's weird, I've never been to a restaurant that up charges you for corn tortillas. The tacos were pretty bland. They had a crema sauce on them but I had to add quite a bit of salsa to them for flavor. The elote on the side was good. It's a nice restaurant. Lots of tvs and a large patio. We also learned that the patio is dog friendly. Our service was meh. Our server actually came to our table and admitted that she had gotten caught up chit chatting in the back. We weren't in any rush or anything so it wasn't a big deal. Waters were never filled though and she just seemed to disappear for lengthy amounts of time. Overall it was fine.

My sister and I visited parlay to celebrate my birthday. I had been to the one in Chandler before, but the one in Scottsdale was even better. Our waiter was beyond amazing. He was personable, respectful, and went out of his way to ensure my birthday celebration was great. There was a good selection of food in the atmosphere was fun. The happy hour wine specials also were really good. I have to say I highly recommend this location and I'll give extra stars to our waiter. I took a picture of him, but I forgot his name sadly.

Lovely birthday lunch with hubby and college boy today. Server Alvina was prompt, thorough and delightful. She gave us good menu tips and was really helpful and friendly. Today's Taco Tuesday special was two tacos on flour tortillas with a side of street corn for $10. Usually $15 on the menu, my men split this plate for an appetizer. One fried cod and one green chili pork taco for them and the corn for me. The tacos were topped with cabbage, lime crema and pico. Husband didn't care for the crema and scraped off most of the toppings. Son enjoyed the pork although it was juicy and drippy to eat. Very tender. The street corn was heavily sauced with a sprinkle of cotoja cheese. I am not sure the ingredients on the corn but it was a bit greasy like the sauce broke when they heated it. Tasty but didn't finish. For our entrees we ordered the BBQ Chicken salad, Pesto Chicken wrap and a Southwest Mac and Cheese. The salad had a chipotle ranch dressing and was tossed spring mix. I would have preferred the dressing on the side, since spring mix doesn't hold up well. I asked for beans on the side and gave them to hubby. Salad still included corn and pico with a nice tender grilled chicken breast on top and a zingy BBQ drizzle. It really could use some crunchy corn chips and a little avocado, but it was a good salad anyway. Mac was curly noodles and cheesy sauce with chipotle chicken on top. Son made it go away very quickly! Finally the pesto chicken wrap was enjoyed thoroughly by husband but he brought home half. He said it was good but had too much spinach. They both liked the light battered French fries, said they were really good. When we were finished eating, our server asked if we were interested in dessert. I asked if they do anything for birthdays because it was my actual birthday today. She put together a piece of chocolate cake ala mode with a candle in no time. She also gave me a come back card for an appetizer next time! This is how you build loyal customers, and invite them to join you again! Nice!

We came in for happy hour today and as usual, the food was great. I have been here a few times before and it's always good. The ambiance was fine - enjoyable. The service was so slow. I wonder if someone didn't show up for work. We had to wait a long time for everything. For example, our idea was to have cocktails, then food. We ordered the cocktails first but they came after the food. So something is off. Same thing with dessert - it was a noticeable wait.

Love this spot! The outside patio has so much space, heaters, tv for sports and today even live music! Our server Lily was so sweet and helpful. We got the bruschetta board for an ap and it was delicious. We got the French onion soup, California wrap and fish and chips. We loved everything!

Party of girls! we met up and had brunch at Parlay and ordered French toast , a burrito that came with fried potatoes on the side , ordered a bloody Mary and it came with a small pick loaded with some meat and olives. I took a walk around the place took some pictures inside, of the bar and tables and wine storage cabinet , many tvs for entertainmet indoors and outside, where they have a very large outdoor area to eat and watch TV lounge area, high tops and tables. There was a large chair for photos outside and my friends and I took the opportunity to have fun and make some memories even got our awesome waitress named Reese in the photos,I recommend asking for her and tell her Tammy and the girls sent you!

Some summer specials & happy hour to try.

So this is my second time here this week. It was even better than our first experience. The service is wonderful everyone is so friendly & kind making it a very warm welcoming neighborhood gem. It's a scratch kitchen with quality ingredients. I could try every item on the menu as they all sound delicious! But I highly recommend the baked wings, Pretzel & beer cheese so good. My husband ordered the bbq chicken salad & said it was great. I also tried the Parlay burger it was tasty. My kids got the cheeseburgers. (my only complaint) is that is the kids portions are small for the price. They do offer a wonderful happy hour including specials on food & drinks. We got to enjoy some nice live music. They have a beautiful patio to enjoy when the weather is nice. We are so glad we found this place & look forward to returning again soon.

Lets see.... Great spot. Ive put off coming here for awhile and that was a mistake. They have daily happy hour from 3-6. Appetizers are $4 off. Extra friendly service. Lots of TVs for sports. I mean..it works for a date night OR a sports afternoon. Steak bites are fantastic. Calamari is great. My son loved the wings! Definitely going back

    Spinach Artichoke Dip
    Alan B.

I was craving steak and potatoes, decided to come here. Went for the spinach artichoke dip, and it was pretty good, I was expecting the bread to be hard, but it wasn't and that was a good thing for me. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer and I got filet mignon with grilled onions and shrimp skewers. I went alone and I finished the entire spinach dip, so it took me a little bit. My steak didn't come out until 20-30 mins after I already finished the dip. That was a little bit disappointing. I sat at the bar and the gentleman working was very polite and tentative. I requested a medium steak and it came out more well done, but it was such a long wait I didn't want to mention it. The steak still wasn't bad, it was good enough that I didn't have to use steak sauce or anything extra. The shrimp skewers tasted very fishy, they definitely need some sort of seasoning. This place just didn't hit the spot for me. I did enjoy the BPM music playing!

What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. They were perfecting a new drink menu and even offered us two drinks on the house. Which was much appreciated! We were lucky, for sure. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (4/5): When I go to a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity. You'll find that here for the most part, though I wish the list of craft cocktails was a little larger. There were only two or so cocktails that struck my fancy. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me. Despite the limited selection, the cocktails are well made and have an interesting blend of flavors. The Madam is a true speakeasy (no signage and an ambiance which is true to the history of speakeasies), which makes them a winner in my book.

What we didn't realize at the time was that we had stumbled upon one of those dishes that would stick with us! So when Liquor Pig closed, we were genuinely sad to see it go, but then delighted to learn that the same chef was spearheading Wayward and, most importantly, that the legendary bone marrow poutine made its way onto the new menu. And thankfully, it's still just as memorable! The bone marrow is incredibly luscious, rich, and decadent, and the whole dish is the perfect indulgent pairing for Wayward's creative cocktails. The portion is also a great size for two people to share, especially since it's definitely a rich dish. We also tried the Jaew Chicken which was tasty and definitely a little different from what I'd normally order. It was a nice addition to the meal, but honestly, the poutine is the reason we'll keep coming back to this place! While walking through the restaurant, I noticed quite a few tables enjoying the bone in short rib taco board and those portions are serious. That platter could easily feed four people, so it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group.
